Helicobacter pylori(***)is a bacterium that infects more than a half of world’s *** it is mainly related to the development of gastroduodenal diseases,several studies have shown that such infection may also influence the development and severity of various extragastric *** to the current evidence,whereas this bacterium is a risk factor for some of these manifestations,it might play a protective role in other pathological *** that context,when considered the gastrointestinal tract,*** positivity have been related to Inflammatory bowel Disease,Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease,Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease,Hepatic Carcinoma,Cholelithiasis,and ***,lower serum levels of iron and vitamin b12 have been found in patients with *** infection,leading to the emergence of anemias in a portion of *** regards to neurological manifestations,a growing number of studies have associated that bacterium with multiple sclerosis,Alzheimer’s disease,Parkinson’s disease,and Guillain-barré***,the risk of developing cardiovascular disorders,such as atherosclerosis,is also influenced by the *** that,the ***-associated inflammation may also lead to increased insulin resistance,leading to a higher risk of diabetes mellitus among infected ***,the occurrence of dermatological and ophthalmic disorders have also been related to that *** this sense,this minireview aims to gather the main studies associating *** infection with extragastric conditions,and also to explore the main mechanisms that may explain the role of *** in those diseases.

This study presents an investigation of the impact of the quasi-stationary voltage support provided by a voltage source converter(VSC)connected to a single point of a power *** on the directional derivative concept,an analytical method is developed to quantify the sensitivities of the AC bus voltage with respect to the VSC reactive power control *** on a real case study,it is shown that the method applies to VSC units that are part of VSC-HVDC systems,which can operate in a point-to-point or multi-terminal ***-domain simulations are performed to verify the findings from the application of the analytical method on a reduced size power system.

Dimensioning Urban Drainage Systems in Housing Subdivisions in the Amazon Using Different Hydrological Models

Hydrological studies for sizing urban drainage systems in the Amazon have often been neglected and little investigated for rainwater projects. This research evaluated alternative hydrological models used in sizing urban drainage network projects in subdivisions with subsidized houses in the Amazonian region in brazil. Statistical tests of these models were performed for both original and alternative scenarios. The methodological steps we conducted as follows: 1) evaluate the dimensioning of infrastructure project networks, considering two case studies contemplated by the Calha Norte Program (CNP) in the state of Amapá;2) test the statistical significance of the dimensioning of network diameters (α benchmark project (MD or M1) approved by the Ministry of Defense;b) determination of concentration time (Cb>tb>) and rainfall intensity-duration-frequency (IDF) relationships, as well as estimating diameters using alternative models. The results indicated a significant influence on the diameters of the projected rainfall networks (p ble flow peaks than the original model. We conclude that the benchmarking model underestimated the diameter of the project compared to alternative models, which means the optimized Cb>tb> parameter significantly impacts dimensioning estimates in rainwater projects in these Amazonian municipalities. This suggests that underestimated parameters in MD may cause inefficiency in the stormwater system projects in future similar scenarios.

Grain-size end-members and environmentally sensitive grain-size components: A comparative study in the mud shelf depocenters off southern brazil

The current study aims to do a comparative analysis of the results obtained with two End-Member(EM)grain-size modeling techniques(Analy Size and bas EMMA) and the Environmental Sensitive Grain-Size(ESGS) modeling for sediment samples collected in the mudbelts of the southern brazilian shelf. The methods were compared using grain-size data from the south brazilian shelf, and the results are discussed here. It is the first time that the concept of ESGS, in its present form, is utilized outside China. The results show that despite its relative ease of use, the ESGS is not fully comparable to the EM analyses, and only two grain-size ESGS classes were recognized as analogous to EMs. The comparison of the Analy Size and bas EMMA procedures also revealed significant differences between the techniques. A comparative analysis between the two EM techniques revealed advantages in the bas EMMA, especially in the better correlation of the end-members with the original grain size distribution. The analysis of the geographical distribution of the EM abundances allowed point sources of sandy populations to be recognized as well as the contribution of the Rio de la Plata as a source of silty sediments to be inferred.

Integrating Crops-Tree Systems with Outgrower Schemes and Food Security

Outgrower Schemes have been implemented in different parts of the world to provide wood to forest and other companies and as income alternatives for farmers in rural areas. They have been considered by some researchers and practitioners as important advances in the area of planted forest and promoted by governments and forest companies in partnership with rural farmers and communities. Considering the importance of subsistence crops and forest products to smallholders and consumers and the economic viability of agroforestry, attention is given in this paper to Outgrower Schemes that combine tree planting with agroforestry, to contribute to food security and environment preservation in developing countries. The issue of Outgrower Schemes through integrated crops-tree systems was raised in a previous study of Outgrower Schemes in brazil, commissioned by the FAO1. This paper examines, based on the research done for that study, the views and perspectives of the companies＇ personnel, the tree growers that participate in the programs studied, and other stakeholders＇ related institutions involved in such schemes with regard to the promotion of Outgrower Schemes through integrated crops-tree systems, linking them with agroforestry, which is a way those Outgrower Schemes can contribute to food security and environment preservation goals.

Above-Optimum Temperature-Induced Differential Photosynthetic and Roots Morphometric Responses in Two Contrasting Rice Genotypes

Temperature thresholds during the rice （Oryza sativa L.） cycle development have been reported to affect plant metabolism Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the effects of the above-optimal temperature on photosynthetic and morphometric parameters in two contrasting irrigated rice genotypes （bRS Quer^ncia--sensitive and Nagina 22 （N22）~tolerant）. Plants of both genotypes were grown in rhizotrons and always maintained under two temperature conditions： Out--under environmental temperature conditions, and In--rhizotrons inside a plastic structure, which increased the temperature about 3 ~C to 5 ~C above the external one. In the genotype N22, there was an increase （twofold higher） in CO2 assimilation in plants cultivated under elevated temperature （In）. In bRS Quer^ncia, the stomatal conductance （gs） and transpiration rate （E） decreased upon high temperature. The rise in the temperature also negatively impacted in the modulated fluorescence parameters in both genotypes. Increases in root dry weight （RDW） and shoot dry weight （SDW） were also observed in the genotype N22 when compared to bRS Quer^ncia upon temperature rise. In general, the N22 genotype showed greater response to the above-optimal temperature due to its intrinsic thermotolerance traits over bRS Quer^ncia. Thus, N22 appeared as a potential donor of heat tolerance genes aiming to obtain new cultivar to face current global wanning.

This study carried out comprehensive analysis on sedimentology, magnetic susceptibility （7of） and color data of the continental sediments of the Liupanshan Group in Central China so as to obtain climatic change information during the 129.14-122.98 Ma interval. based on the results of the Xlf and of the redness （a＊）, the section can be divided into two segments：（1） 129.14-126.3 Ma, with the lowest Xlf values and strongly variable relatively high values of redness and （2） 126.3-122.98 Ma, with high Elf values and relatively low redness. Analysis of the lithology and facies as well as the magnetic minerals and their contents points to a detrital origin of the magnetic minerals and this allow us to interpret the relationship between magnetic susceptibility variations and climate changes. Our study shows that the climate was significantly dry and hot during the whole studied interval although the interval between 126.3 Ma and 122.98 was a little bit cooler with increased humidity.
