Retinal and optic nerve diseases are degenerative ocular pathologies which lead to irreversible visual loss. Since the advanced therapies availability, cell-based therapies offer a new all-encompassing approach. Advances in the knowledge of neuroprotection, immunomodulation and regenerative properties of mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) have been obtained by several preclinical studies of various neurodegenerative diseases. It has provided the opportunity to perform the translation of this knowledge to prospective treatment approaches for clinical practice. Since 2008, several first steps projecting new treatment approaches, have been taken regarding the use of cell therapy in patients with neurodegenerative pathologies of optic nerve and retina. Most of the clinical trials using MSCs are in Ⅰ/Ⅱ phase, recruiting patients or ongoing, and they have as main objective the safety assessment of MSCs using various routes of administration. However, it is important to recognize that, there is still a long way to go to reach clinical trials phase Ⅲ-Ⅳ. Hence, it is necessary to continue preclinical and clinical studies to improve this new therapeutic tool. This paper reviews the latest progress of MSCs in human clinical trials for retinal and optic nerve diseases.

Incorporation of the histone variant H2A.Z into nucleosomes by the SWR1 chromatin remodeling complex is a critical step in eukaryotic gene regulation. In Arabidopsis, SWRlc and H2A.Z have been shown to con- trol gene expression underlying development and environmental responses. Although they have been implicated in defense, the specific roles of the complex subunits and H2A.Z in immunity are not well under- stood. In this study, we analyzed the roles of the SWRlc subunits, PHOTOPERIOD-InDEPEnDEnT EARLY FLOWERIng1 （PIE1）, ACTIn-RELATED PROTEIn6 （ARP6）, and SWR1 COMPLEX 6 （SWC6）, as well as H2A.Z, in defense and gene regulation. We found that SWRlc components play different roles in resistance to different pathogens. Loss of PIE1 and SWC6 function as well as depletion of H2A.Z led to reduced basal resistance, while loss of ARP6 fucntion resulted in enhanced resistance. We found that mutations in PIE1 and SWC6 resulted in impaired effector-triggered immunity. Mutation in SWRlc components and H2A.Z also resulted in compromised jasmonic acid/ethylene-mediated immunity. genome-wide expres- sion analyses similarly reveal distinct roles for H2A.Z and SWRlc components in gene regulation, and sug- gest a potential role for PIE1 in the regulation of the cross talk between defense signaling pathways. Our data show that although they are part of the same complex, Arabidopsis SWRlc components could have non-redundant functions in plant immunity and gene regulation.

In this paper, generalized dual-phase-lag (DPL) model has been studied for the numerical analysis of spatial variation of temperature within living biological tissues during thermal therapy applications. A new hybrid numerical scheme based on finite difference scheme and Chebyshev wavelet galerkin method are used to solve the generalized DPL model with constant heat flux boundary condition. Multi-resolution and multi-scale computational property of Chebyshev wavelet in the present case localizes small scale variations of solution and fast switching of functional bases. Our study demonstrates that due to presence of coupling factor (convection–perfusion), generalized DPL model predicts lower temperature than classical DPL and Pennes model at the tumor position. Higher values of phase lag times results in lower temperature at the tumor position. But, in case of variation of phase lag time due to temperature gradient, the nature of temperature profile also depends on the spatial coordinate. The effect of the blood temperature, porosity and interfacial convective heat transfer on temperature distribution has been investigated. It is found that larger values of porosity and interfacial convective heat transfer results in lower temperature at the tumor position. Also, both porosity and interfacial convective heat transfer are pronounced more at higher values. The whole analysis is presented in dimensionless form.

Adder with high efficiency and accuracy is the major requirement for electronic circuit *** the optical logic gate based adder circuit is designed for better performance analysis of optical input signals varied with the *** of the adder can be improved by increasing the speed of operation,reducing the complexity and power *** maintain the high efficiency with accuracy,a new combination of adder has been proposed and tested in this work.A new adder by combining the logics of Brent Kung,Sklansky and Kogge Stone adders by Tree grafting Technique(BSKTgT)has been tested along with individual Brent Kung,Sklansky,Kogge Stone,Knowles,Han Carlson and Ladner Fischer *** the existing and proposed adders have been designed and tested for efficiency with the help of Cadence platform with 45 nm *** in terms of Size reduction,Power reduction,Power Delay Product(PDP)and accuracy in adding 8 bit,16 bit and 32 bit values had been tested for all the adders and found that the 32 bit BSKTgT adder performed well in all aspects and have produced better efficiency with the power consumption of 52.512426μW with 3.16%of power saving over Brent Kung adder,utilised an area of 631.191 with 8.55%reduction over Kogge Stone Adder,has the cell count of 132 which is 10.61%reduction over Brent Kung Adder and PDP value of 122.6695 J,which is 0.46%less than that of the Han Carlson Adder.

A field experiment was conducted at the g.B. Pant University Research Station, Ujhani (U.P.) in rainy (Kharif) season of the year 1994-1995 to study the effect of Rhizobium, VAM (vesicular arbuscular myc- orrhiza) and PSB (phosphate solubilizing bacteria) inoculation, with and without P, on blackgram (Vigna mungo L.) seed yield. Phosphorus application in soil with medium P content (5.4 mg kg～1) increased nodu- lation, grain yield, n and P in plant and grain over no phosphorus control. Forty kilograms of P-2O-5 each hactare recorded an increase of 20.6 % in nodule dry weight, significant increases of 0.35 g kg～(-1) in n con- centration and 1.28 g kg～(-1) in P concentration of plant over 20 kg P-2O-5 ha～(-1). Similar significant increases of 0.59 g kg～(-l) in grain yield and 0.54 and 0.23 g kg～(-1) in n and P concentrations of the grain, respectively, over 20 kg P-2O-5 ha～(-1) were also obtained with higher dose. Inoculation of Rhizobium ＋ VAM ＋ PSB at all the stages of plant growth recorded maximum increases in all the parameters studied. Dual inoculation of Rhizobium with either VAM or PSB was generally significant in the effect and better than that of VAM ＋ PSB, however, P accumulation in plant and grain was more with VAM ＋ PSB. Among single inocula tions, Rhizobium gave highest and 21.0 % more nodule number, 34.7 % more nodule dry mass, 0.73 g kg～(-1) more n in grain and 4.2 % higher grain yield over PSB. PSB, however, registered significant increases in P concentration in plant and grain over VAM and Rhizobium.

We report on the observation of Meyer-neldel rule in glassy Se75ge20Ag5 alloy where AE is varied by two different methods. In the first approach, the intensity of light varies while measuring the photoconductivity in amorphous thin films of Se75ge20Ag5 instead of changing composition of the glassy system. In the second approach, the variation of ac conductivity with temperature is found to be exponential and the activation energy is found to vary with frequency.
