Background Ovarian follicular fluid(FF)is a dynamic environment that changes with the seasons,affecting follicle development,ovulation,and oocyte *** in the follicles release tiny particles called extracellular vesicles(EVs)containing vital regulatory molecules,such as microRNAs(miRNAs).These miRNAs are pivotal in facilitating commu-nication within the follicles through diverse signaling and information transfer ***-coupled miRNA signaling is implicated to be associated with ovarian function,follicle and oocyte growth and response to various environmen-tal ***,we investigated how seasonal variations directly influence the ovulatory and anovulatory states of ovarian follicles and how are they associated with follicular fluid EV-coupled miRNA dynamics in *** Ultrasonographic monitoring and follicular fluid aspiration of preovulatory follicles in horses during the ano-vulatory(spring:non-breeding)and ovulatory(spring,summer,and fall:breeding)seasons and subsequent EV isola-tion and miRNA profiling identified significant variation in EV-miRNA cargo *** identified 97 miRNAs with dif-ferential expression among the groups and specific clusters of miRNAs involved in the spring transition(miR-149,-200b,-206,-221,-328,and-615)and peak breeding period(including miR-143,-192,-451,-302b,-100,and let-7c).Bioinformatic analyses showed enrichments in various biological functions,e.g.,transcription factor activity,transcrip-tion and transcription regulation,nucleic acid binding,sequence-specific DNA binding,p53 signaling,and post-trans-lational *** analyses revealed distinct sets of significantly up-and down-regulated miRNAs associ-ated with spring anovulatory(Cluster 1)and summer ovulation–the peak breeding season(Clusters 4 and 6).Conclusions The findings from the current study shed light on the dynamics of FF-EV-coupled miRNAs in relation to equine ovulatory and anovulatory seasons,and their roles in understanding the

Utility of endoscopic ultrasound in patients with portal hypertension

Endoscopic ultrasound(EUS) has revolutionized the diagnostic and therapeutic approach to patients with gastrointestinal disorders. Its application in patients with liver disease and portal hypertension is increasing. Patients with chronic liver disease are at risk for development of portal hypertension sequale such as ascites, spontaneous bacterial peritonitis and gastroesophageal varices. Bleeding esophageal and gastric varices are among the most common causes of mortality in patients with cirrhosis. Thus, early detection and treatment improve the outcome in this population. EUS can improve the detection and diagnosis of gastroesophageal varices and collateral veins and can provide endoscopic therapy of gastroesophageal varices such as EUS-guided sclerotherapy of esophageal collateral vessels and EUS-guided cynoacrylate(Glue) injection of gastric varices. EUS can also provide knowledge on the efficacy of pharmacotherapy of portal hypertension. Furthermore, EUS can provide assessment and prediction of variceal recurrence after endoscopic therapy and assessment of portal hemodynamics such as E-Flow and Doppler study of the azygous and portal veins. moreover, EUS-guided fine needle aspiration may provide cytologic diagnosis of focal hepatic tumors andanalysis of free abdominal *** specialized EUSguided needle biopsy,a sample of liver tissue can be obtained to diagnose and evaluate for chronic liver ***-guided fine needle injection can be used to study portal vein pressure and hemodynamics,and potentially could be used to assist in exact measurement of portal vein pressure and placement of intrahepatic portosystemic shunt.

Endoscopic ultrasound(EUS)-guided fine needle aspira-tion(FNA) of the liver is a safe procedure in the diag-nosis and staging of hepatobiliary malignancies with a minimal major complication rate. EUS-FNA is useful for liver lesions poorly accessible to other imaging modali-ties of the liver. EUS-guided FNA of biliary neoplasia and malignant biliary stricture is superior to the con-ventional endoscopic brushing and biopsy.

Esophageal carcinoma affects more than 450000people worldwide and the incidence is rapidly *** the United States and Europe,esophageal adenocarcinoma has superseded esophageal squamous cell carcinoma in its *** cancer has a high mortality rates secondary to the late presentation of most patients at advanced *** screening is recommended for patients with multiple risk factors for cancer in Barrett’s *** risk factors include chronic gastroesophageal reflux disease,hiatal hernia,advanced age,male sex,white race,cigarette smoking,and *** annual risk of esophageal cancer is approximately 0.25%for patients without dysplasia and 6%for patients with high-grade *** percent of all esophageal adenocarcinoma in the United States is early stage with disease confined to the mucosa or *** significant morbidity and mortality of esophagectomy make endoscopic treatment an attractive *** American Gastroenterological Association recommends endoscopic eradication therapy for patients with high-grade *** modalities for treatment of early esophageal adenocarcinoma include endoscopic resection techniques and endoscopic ablative techniques such as radiofrequency ablation,photodynamic therapy and *** therapy should be precluded to patients with no evidence of lymphovascular *** tumor recurrence is low after endoscopic therapy and is predicted by poor differentiation of tumor,positive lymph node and submucosal *** resection should be offered to patients with deep submucosal invasion.

To use energy systems based on renewable sources,it is very important to consider backup and hybrid sources because renewable energies are not available all the time;therefore,in this system,a geothermal pump is used to preheat the fluid,then the heated fluid is sent to the vacuum tube collector to reach a higher temperature by absorbing solar-thermal energy,and after absorbing solar energy,it goes to the evaporator to produce superheated steam and finally the superheated fluid moves to the steam turbine to produce *** the simulation,thermodynamic analysis along with economic analysis has been *** the base state,the energy efficiency and exergy of cogeneration were 0.566 and 0.156,respectively;the energy efficiency and electrical exergy were better than 0.057 and 0.065;and the overall output and immutable work values were 50 and 671.1 kW,respectively.

Enhanced spectrum sensing using a combination of energy detector,matched filter and cyclic prefix

In this paper,we propose a sensing scheme based on energy detection,matched filter and cyclic *** Equal Gain Combining(EGC)and optimal combination of the aforementioned detectors are investigated in cooperative and non-cooperative spectrum sensing *** packet transmission systems such as OFDm(Orthogonal Frequency Division multiple access)systems,the proposed scheme takes advantage of utilizing more samples than individual detectors,i.e.,cyclic prefix,training or pilot samples,and data payload *** proposed combine-sensing scheme offers higher detection probability and lower false alarm probability,as compared with the performance of individual detectors over the same frame *** results are congruent with the theoretical curves and confirm the validity of our derivations.

Perforated duodenal ulcer:An unusual manifestation of allergic eosinophilic gastroenteritis

Spontaneous perforation of a duodenal ulcer secondary to allergic eosinophilic gastroenteritis(EGE) has not been previously reported. We present such a case in a teenager who presented with peritonitis. After exploration and operative repair of his ulcer, he continued to experience intermittent abdominal pain, and further evaluation revealed eosinophilic gastroenteritis in the setting of multiple food allergies. His EGE resolved after adhering to a restrictive diet. Both duodenal ulcers and EGE are very rarely seen in pediatric patients. EGE has a variable presentation depending on the layer(s) of bowel wall affected and the segment of the gastrointestinal tract that is involved. Once diagnosed, it may respond to dietary changes in patients with recognized food allergies, or to steroids in patients in whom an underlying cause is not identified. Our case highlights the need to keep EGE in the differential diagnosis when treating pediatric patients with duodenal ulcers. The epidemiology, pathophysiology, and treatment of EGE are also discussed, along with a review of the current literature.

Thermal Conductivity of Room Temperature Deep Eutectic Solvents

As deep eutectic solvents(DESs)became a prevalent category of materials,reporting their physical and chemical properties turned to be *** this work,a database of the thermal conductivity of 39 DESs was experimentally investigated in a temperature range of 25℃to 60℃,since this property was not broadly reported *** the thermal conductivity is a significant approach to obtain the fluids'heat transfer coefficients,which are essential for fluid heat transfer applications and equipment *** selection of the reported DESs was based on their liquid phase status at room temperature and ***,the thermal conductivity was studied as a function of temperature and ***,the data were fit with the conventional equations to predict the thermal conductivity value at a certain *** highest R^(2) was selected to identify the best behavior with the common types of *** was found that the thermal conductivity reduced by raising the temperature,which was attributed to the enhancement that occurred in electrons'randomness and reduction in electrons'free ***,as the temperature rises up,the density decreases,and molecular distance *** contained choline chloride showed higher thermal conductivity stability than other *** an opposite scenario was noticed for glycerol and ethylene glycol DESs due to the possibility of generating water.
