Purpose:This study aimed to assess the effectiveness and time course for improvements in explosive actions through resistance training(RT)vs.plyometric training(PT)in prepubertal soccer players.Methods:Thirty-four male subjects were assigned to:a control group(n=11);an RT group(5 regular soccer training sessions per week,n=12);a PT group(3 soccer training sessions and 2 RT sessions per week,n=11).The outcome measures included tests for the assessment of muscle strength(e.g.,1 repetition maximum half-squat test),jump ability(e.g.,countermovement jump,squat jump,standing long jump,and multiple 5 bounds test),linear speed(e.g.,20m sprint test),and change of direction(e.g.,Illinois change of direction test).Results:The RTG showed an improvement in the half-squat(△=13.2%;d=1.3,p<0.001)and countermovement jump(△=9.4%;d=2.4,p<0.001)at Week 4,whereas improvements in the 20-m sprint(△=4.2%;d=1.1,p<0.01);change of direction(CoD)(△=3.8%;d=2.1,p<0.01);multiple 5 bounds(△=5.1%;d=1.5,p<0.05);standing long jump(△=7.2%;d=1.2,p<0.01);squat jump(△=19.6%;d=1.5,p<0.01);were evident at Week 8.The PTG showed improvements in CoD(△=2.1%;d=1.3,p<0.05);standing long jump(△=9.3%;d=1.1,p<0.01);countermovement jump(△=16.1%;d=1.2,p<0.01);and squat jump(△=16.7%;d=1.4,p<0.01);at Week 8 whereas improvements in the 20-m sprint(△=4.1%;d=1.3,p<0.01);and multiple 5 bounds(△=7.4%;d=2.4,p<0.001);were evident only after Week.The RT and PT groups showed improvements in all sprint,CoD,and jump tests(p<0.05)and in half-squat performance,for which improvement was only shown within the RTG(p<0.001).Conclusion:RT and PT conducted in combination with regular soccer training are safe and feasible interventions for prepubertal soccer players.In addition,these interventions were shown to be effective training tools to improve explosive actions with different time courses of improvements,which manifested earlier in the RTG than in the PTG.These outcomes may help coaches and fitness trainers set out clear and concise goals of training according to the specific tim

阿司匹林在冠心病防治中的重要作用已被反复证实。各种指南均建议冠心病病人,及发生冠心病危险性高的病人应终身服用阿司匹林。但临床上仍有很多病人因为各种原因停用阿司匹林。对停用阿司匹林的危害,目前尚无充分的研究评估。现探讨冠心病及冠心病高危患者停用阿司匹林的危害。方法和结果:利用数据库进行系统收集(到2006年1月结束,包括Biomedcentral、Google及Pubmed)。搜查到612篇相关文献,根据题目或摘要剔除581篇,进一步仔细分析再剔除25篇。最后选出6项(共50279例患者)纳入分析。其中稳定性冠心病二级预防停用阿司匹林的危害研究一项(31750例),急性冠脉综合征患者停用阿司匹林的危害研究两项(2579例),冠脉搭桥术前或之后停用阿司匹林的危害研究两项(13706例),药物涂层支架的患者停用阿司匹林所带来的危害研究一项(2229例)。与对照组相比,停用阿司匹林后发生严重不良心血管事件的危险增高3倍[OR=3.14(1.75~5.61),P=0.0001]。不同临床情况均不同程度增高:冠脉支架术后患者停用阿司匹林后心血管事件发生的相对危险(OR)达89.78(29.90~269.60);急性或慢性...

Field work conducted in September 1998 and Summer 1999 aimed to reassess the ophiolitic segment of the Yarlung Zangbo suture zone (YZS) and shed new light on the preserved fragments of Neo\|Tethys ocean\|floor. This eastern ophiolitic segment was partly surveyed during the 1980 Sino\|French Cooperative Investigation of Himalayas, but little work has been done since that time. Progress in ophiolite research field and new developments in modern ocean crust guided us in the recent field work investigation. Mantle peridotites and associated minor crustal units are assumed Early Cretaceous in age, while diabase interbedded with phyllites and radiolarian sediments of presumed seamount origin are attributed to Late Jurassic—Early Cretaceous age. Six different massifs were visited that are from west to east: Jiding, Qunrang, Beimarang, Dazhuqu, Luobusa, and Zedang. Each massif presents specific characteristics summarized below. The Jiding massif is made of partly to totally serpentinized granular upper mantle harzburgites with orthopyroxenite banding, a transitional Moho zone, a thick diabase sill\|dike complex intruded into heterogeneous gabbro, and pillow lavas.. High\|temperature plastic foliation, although generally oriented NW—SE, and lineation show folding. Numerous gabbroic and diabasic intrusions are observed in peridotites. The orientations of the mafic rocks foliation and lineation do not fit the structure of the host peridotites. The 350m thick transition zone is a syntectonically intrusive sequence of mantle peridotites cut by abundant different types of gabbro and diabase. In one case intrusion of gabbro postdates serpentinization of peridotites and the outer margin of the xenolith enclosed in fine\|grained gabbro has reacted to form pegmatitic hornblende gabbro. The crustal unit is made of gabbro intruded by multiple fine\|grained dikes. Cross-country(XC)ski races involve a variety of formats,two different techniques and tracks with highly variable topography and environmental conditions.In addition,XC skiing is a major component of both Nordic combined and biathlon competi-tions.Research in this area,both in the laboratory and field,encounters certain difficulties that may reduce the reliability and validity of the data obtained,as well as complicate comparisons between studies.Here,13 international experts propose specific guidelines designed to enhance the quality of research and publications on XC skiing,as well as on the biathlon and Nordic combined skiing.We consider biomechanical(kinematic,kinetic and neuromuscular)and physiological methodology(at the systemic and/or muscle level),providing recommendations for standardization/control of the experimental setup.We describe the types of measuring equipment and technology that are most suitable in this context.Moreover,we also deal with certain aspects of nomenclature of the classical and skating sub-techniques.In addition to enhancing the quality of stud-ies on XC skiing,Nordic combined and biathlon,our guidelines should also be of value for sport scientists and coaches in other disciplines where physiological and/or biomechanical measurements are performed in the laboratory and/or outdoors.

Aim:To study the validity and liability of a Swedish translation of the Post Hospitalization Behavior Questionnaire(PHBQ)-in children in Sweden.Methods:The PHBQ was translated using a back-translation method.The subjects were 340 children,ages 2-13 y,admitted for elective surgery or diagnostic procedure with anaesthesia.The results were analysed using exploratory factor analysis with principal component analysis with Oblimin rotation.The fit to data was examined using confirmative factor analysis with a good measure of fit for the model(P > 0.09 for all factors).Results:Five factors emerged as being most consistent:general anxiety-withdrawal,eating disturbances,separation anxiety,regression-aggression and sleep anxiety.A panel of child psychologists confirmed the face validity of factors.Internal consistency(Chronbach’s alpha)was adequate(0.75-0.87)for subscales and excellent for total score(0.93).Children less than 5 y old had higher scores than older children(mean 0.046±0.018 vs-0.0089±0.014,P < 0.001).There were no gender differences.Conclusion:The results support a conclusion that a five-factor model better fits data from Swedish children than the original six-factor model.
