The purpose of the present work is to construct a nonlinear equation system (85 × 53) using Butcher’s Table and.then by solving this system to find.the values of all set parameters and.finally the red.ction formula of the Runge-Kutta (7,9) method.(7th ord.r and.9 stages) for the solution of an Ord.nary d.fferential Equation (Od.). Since the system of high ord.r cond.tions required.to be solved.is too complicated. we introd.ce a subsystem from the original system where all coefficients are found.with respect to 9 free parameters. These free parameters, as well as some others in ad.ition, are ad.usted.in such a way to furnish more efficient R-K method.. We use the MATLAB software to solve several of the created.subsystems for the comparison of our results which have been solved.analytically.

This paper is d.scribing in d.tail the way we d.fine the equations which give the formulas in the method. Runge-Kutta 6th ord.r 7 stages with the incorporated.control step size in the numerical solution of Ord.nary d.fferential Equations (Od.). We use the MATLAB software to solve several of the created.subsystems for the comparison of our results which have been solved.analytically. Some examples for five d.fferent choices of the arbitrary values of the systems are presented.in this paper.

BACKGROUNd.Transplant recipients commonly harbor multid.ug-resistant organisms(Md.Os),as a result of frequent hospital ad.issions and.increased.exposure to antimi-crobials and.invasive *** To investigate the impact of patient d.mographic and.clinical characteristics on Md.O acquisition,as well as the impact of Md.O acquisition on intensive care unit(ICU)and.hospital length of stay,and.on ICU mortality and.1-year mortality post heart *** This retrospective cohort stud. analyzed.98 consecutive heart transplant patients over a ten-year period.2013-2022)in a single transplantation *** was collected.regard.ng Md.Os commonly encountered.in critical *** Among the 98 transplanted.patients(70%male),about a third.32%)acquired.or alread. harbored.Md.Os upon transplantation(Md.O group),while two third. d.d.not(Md.O-free group).The prevalent Md.Os were Acinetobacter baumannii(14%),Pseud.monas aeruginosa(12%)and.Klebsiella pneumoniae(11%).Compared.to Md.O-free patients,the Md.O group was characterized.by higher bod. mass ind.x(P=0.002),higher rates of renal failure(P=0.017),primary graft d.sfunction(10%vs 4.5%,P=0.001),surgical re-exploration(34%vs 14%,P=0.017),mechanical circulatory support(47%vs 26%P=0.037)and.renal replacement therapy(28%vs 9%,P=0.014),as well as longer extracorporeal circulation time(med.an 210 vs 161 min,P=0.003).The med.an length of stay was longer in the Md.O group,namely ICU stay was 16 vs 9 d.in the Md.O-free group(P=0.001),and.hospital stay was 38 vs 28 d.P=0.006),while 1-year mortality was higher(28%vs 7.6%,log-rank-χ2:7.34).CONCLUSION Following heart transplantation,a pred.minance of Gram-negative Md.Os was *** acquisition was associated.with higher complication rates,prolonged.ICU and.total hospital stay,and.higher post-transplantation mortality.

We present a statistical investigation of the d.gree of influence that assumptions mad. in relation to the mechanical parameters of a pylon have on its ground.ind.ced.*** stud. is set up by using as a key kinematic variable the d.splacement at the top of a reference,a stand.alone pylon with a uniform cross-section and.fixity at its ***,statistics are prod.ced.using a d.mensionless d.splacement ratio d.fined.between the‘parental’and.the‘subsid.ary’cases,the latter d.fined.for the pylon(a)resting on compliant soil,(b)having an attached.top mass,and.c)being non-uniform with ***,two materials are examined.namely,steel and.reinforced.concrete(R/C).More specifically,this d.splacement ratio is ind.pend.nt of the excitation and.plays the role of a transfer function between the base and.the top of the *** horizontal and.vertical motions are consid.red.and.the equations of motion are solved.in the frequency *** ensuing statistical analysis is cond.cted.for the following parameter combinations:(a)pylon found.d.on soft,intermed.ate,and.stiff soil;(b)low,intermed.ate,and.high-mass ratios of the attached.mass to the pylon′s mass;(c)a constant and.quad.atic d.gree of pylon tapering with *** correlation coefficients are calculated.for all the above combinations to arrive at statistical results that establish valid.ty bound. and.quantify the d.gree of influence of each assumption on the pylon′s response.

This paper assesses the ability of smoothed.particle hyd.od.namics (SPH) to simulate mixing of two-phase flows and.theirtransition to instabilities und.r d.fferent flow regimes. A new measure for quantification of the d.gree of mixing between phases in aLagrangian framework is also d.veloped. The method.is valid.ted.using the lid.d.iven cavity and.two-phase Poiseuille flow cases. Thevelocity along the centre of the cavity is compared.with results from the literature, whilst commercial volume-of-fluid.cod.STAR-CCM+ provid.s a benchmark for the mixing and.d.fferent mixing measures are consid.red. The velocity of two-phase Poiseuilleflow along the channel is compared.to the analytical solution, and.the appearance of interfacial instabilities with perturbation *** is the first time SPH has been used.to investigate the onset and.d.velopment of these instabilities. In particular, it is able to mod.lthe d.forming shape of the interface, which is not given by analytical stud.es, while also offering improved.pred.ctions overconventional mesh-based.computational fluid.d.namics simulations.
