Modeling Passengers Boarding in Aircraft Using Cellular Automata

Aircraft are profitable to their owners as long as they are in the air transporting passengers to their destinations;therefore it is vital to minimize as much as possible their preparation time on the *** this paper we simulate different boarding strategies with the help of a model based on cellular automata parallel computational tool,attempting to find the most efficient way to deliver each passenger to her/his assigned *** seat arrangements are used,a small one based on Airbus A320/ Boeing 737 and a larger one based on Airbus A380/ Boeing777-300.A wide variety of parameters,including time delay for luggage storing,the frequency by which the passengers enter the plane,different walking speeds of passengers depending on sex,age and height,and the possibility of walking past their seat,are simulated in order to achieve realistic results,as well as monitor their effects on boarding *** simulation results indicate that the boarding time can be significantly reduced by the simple grouping and prioritizing of *** accordance with previous papers and the examined strategies,the outside-in and reverse pyramid boarding methods outperform all the others for both the small and large airplane seat *** the latter,the examined strategies are introduced for first time in an analogous way to the initial small seat arrangement of Airbus A320/ Boeing737 aircraft ***,since in real world scenarios,the compliance of all the passengers to the suggested group division and boarding strategy cannot be guaranteed,further simulations were *** is clear that as the number of passengers disregarding the priority of the boarding groups increases,the time needed for the boarding to complete tends towards that of the random boarding strategy,thus minimizing the possible advantages gained by the proposed boarding strategies.

Production of the Reduction Formula of Seventh Order Runge-Kutta Method with Step Size Control of an Ordinary Differential Equation

The purpose of the present work is to construct a nonlinear equation system (85 × 53) using Butcher’s Table and then by solving this system to find the values of all set parameters and finally the reduction formula of the Runge-Kutta (7,9) method (7th order and 9 stages) for the solution of an Ordinary Differential Equation (ODE). Since the system of high order conditions required to be solved is too complicated, we introduce a subsystem from the original system where all coefficients are found with respect to 9 free parameters. These free parameters, as well as some others in addition, are adjusted in such a way to furnish more efficient R-K methods. We use the MATLAB software to solve several of the created subsystems for the comparison of our results which have been solved analytically.

Derivation of the Reduction Formula of Sixth Order and Seven Stages Runge-Kutta Method for the Solution of an Ordinary Differential Equation

This paper is describing in detail the way we define the equations which give the formulas in the methods Runge-Kutta 6th order 7 stages with the incorporated control step size in the numerical solution of Ordinary Differential Equations (ODE). The purpose of the present work is to construct a system of nonlinear equations and then by solving this system to find the values of all set parameters and finally the reduction formula of the Runge-Kutta (6,7) method (6th order and 7 stages) for the solution of an Ordinary Differential Equation (ODE). Since the system of high order conditions required to be solved is complicated, all coefficients are found with respect to 7 free parameters. These free parameters, as well as some others in addition, are adjusted in such a way to furnish more efficient R-K methods. We use the MATLAB software to solve several of the created subsystems for the comparison of our results which have been solved analytically. Some examples for five different choices of the arbitrary values of the systems are presented in this paper.

Inverted perovskite solar cells(PSCs)have attracted increasing attention in recent years owing to their low-temperature fabrication proces ***,they suffer from a limited number of electron transport materials available with[6,6]-phenyl C61 butyric acid methyl ester(PCBM)to be the most widely studied based on its appropriate energy levels and high electron *** low relative permittivity and aggregation tendency upon illumination of PCBM,however,compromises the solar cell efficiency whereas its modest hydrophobicity negatively impacts on the device *** electron transport materials with desired properties and appropriate degree of hydrophobicity are thus desirable for further developments in inverted ***,we synthesize a triethyleneglycol C60 mono-adduct derivative(termed as EPF03)and test it as a novel electron transport material to replace PCBM in inverted PSCs based on a quadruple cation(RbCsMAFA)*** also compare this derivative with two novel fullerenes decorated with two(EPF01)or one dodecyl(EPF02)long side *** latter two fail to perform efficiently in inverted PSCs whereas the former enabled a power conversion efficiency of 18.43%,which represents a 9%improvement compared to the reference device using PCBM(17.21%).The enhanced performance mainly stems from improved electron extraction and reduced recombination enabled by the insertion of the large relative permittivity amongst other properties of ***,our results indicate that triethylene glycol side chains can also passivate perovskite trap states,suppress ion migration and enhance photostability and long-term stability of EPF03 based perovskite solar cells.
