Dynamic infrared thermography and smartphone thermal imaging as an adjunct for preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative perforator free flap monitoring

Aim:The versatile application of perforator free flaps for coverage of any extremity has been well ***,a"freestyle"-like approach is used to design these flaps,as conventional imaging techniques for perforator identification may be too expensive or *** will be demonstrated,the recent application of a thermal imaging camera using a smartphone is a cheaper and therefore more universal means to better identify the requisite perforators upon which a free flap can be designed and then ***:Smartphone thermography can be used on any patient preoperatively to identify preferable perforators or vascular network"hot spots"within the desired donor site *** management of the choice of perforators and subsequent flap dissection can be similarly *** postoperative monitoring based on changes of the thermal image color palette will provide a comparison that can be used to determine if perfusion across the microanastomosis is ***:An overview of how to use a smartphone in concert with a thermal imaging camera is *** infrared thermography represents a thermal stress necessary with a smartphone to better identify donor site"hot spots".Conclusion:Smartphone thermography is an inexpensive and expeditious means for identification of"hot spots"that correlate with perforators that would suffice to insure perfusion to a free perforator ***,since perforator caliber and course cannot be determined,this should be considered to be only a complementary adjunct for conventional ***,its simplicity will overall improve the safer design,harvest,and subsequent monitoring of free flaps.

Dynamic modeling of a three-dimensional braided composite thin plate considering braiding directions

Currently, there are a limited number of dynamic models available for braided composite plates with large overall motions, despite the incorporation of three-dimensional(3D) braided composites into rotating blade components. In this paper, a dynamic model of 3D 4-directional braided composite thin plates considering braiding directions is established. Based on Kirchhoff's plate assumptions, the displacement variables of the plate are expressed. By incorporating the braiding directions into the constitutive equation of the braided composites, the dynamic model of the plate considering braiding directions is obtained. The effects of the speeds, braiding directions, and braided angles on the responses of the plate with fixed-axis rotation and translational motion, respectively, are investigated. This paper presents a dynamic theory for calculating the deformation of 3D braided composite structures undergoing both translational and rotational motions. It also provides a simulation method for investigating the dynamic behavior of non-isotropic material plates in various applications.

Atmospheric ducting has a significant impact on electromagnetic wave *** signals that are trapped and guided by the atmospheric duct can travel a much longer distance over the horizon with lower attenuation since the signal power does not spread isotropically through the *** ducting brings both challenges and opportunities to wireless *** one hand,the signals propagating in the atmospheric duct may interfere with a receiver far away as remote co-channel *** the other hand,a point-to-point link can be established directly through the atmospheric duct to enable beyond line-of-sight *** this article,the formation of the atmospheric duct and its effects on radio wave propagation are first *** solutions and standardization activities in the 3rd Generation Partnership Project(3GPP)to mitigate atmospheric duct induced remote interference are ***,the applications and design challenges of atmospheric duct enabled beyond line-of-sight communications are reviewed and future research directions are suggested.

Interaction between protokimberlite melts and mantle lithosphere:Evidence from mantle xenoliths from the Dalnyaya kimberlite pipe,Yakutia(Russia)

The Dalnyaya kimberlite pipe（Yakutia,Russia） contains mantle peridotite xenoliths（mostly Iherzolites and harzburgites） that show both sheared porphyroclastic（deformed） and coarse granular textures,together with ilmenite and clinopyroxene *** peridotites contain high-temperature Fe-rich clinopyroxenes,sometimes associated with picroilmenites,which are products of interaction of the lithospheric mantle with protokimberlite related *** orthopyroxene-derived geotherm for the lithospheric mantle beneath Dalnyaya is stepped similar to that beneath the Udachnaya *** granular xenoliths fall on a geotherm of 35 mWm-2 whereas deformed varieties yield a 45 mWm-2）geotherm in the 2-7.5 GPa pressure *** chemistry of the constituent minerals including garnet,olivine and clinopyroxene shows trends of increasing Fe~#（=Fe/（Fe＋mg））with decreasing *** may suggest that the interaction with fractionating protokimberlite melts occurred at different *** major mantle lithologies are distinguished by the trace element patterns of their constituent minerals,determined by ***,some clinopyroxenes and rare garnets are depleted in Ba,Sr,HFSE and mREE and represent relic lithospheric ***-fertilized garnet and clinopyroxene are more *** distribution of trace elements between garnet and clinopyroxene shows that the garnets dissolved primary orthopyroxene and *** high temperature clinopyroxenes related to the protokimberlite melts partially dissolved these *** show decreases in Ni and increases in Al,Ca and Ti from mg-rich varieties to the more Fe-rich,deformed and refertilized *** showing higher Fe~#（0.11-0.15） are found within intergrowths of low-Cr ilmenite-clinopyroxene-garnet related to the crystallization of protokimberlite melts in feeder *** P-f（O_2） diagrams,garnets and Cr-rich clinopyroxenes indicate reduced conditions at the base of the lithosphere at-5

The brain's extracellular matrix(ECm),which is comprised of protein and glycosaminoglycan(GAG)scaffolds,constitutes 20%-40% of the human brain and is considered one of the largest influencers on brain cell functioning(Soles et al.,2023).Synthesized by neural and glial cells,the brain's ECm regulates a myriad of homeostatic cellular processes,including neuronal plasticity and firing(miyata et al.,2012),cation buffering(moraws ki et al.,2015),and glia-neuron interactions(Anderson et al.,2016).Considering the diversity of functions,dynamic remodeling of the brain's ECm indicates that this understudied medium is an active participant in both normal physiology and neurological diseases.

Local Observations-Based Energy-Efficient multi-Cell Beamforming via multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning

With affordable overhead on information exchange,energy-efficient beamforming has potential to achieve both low power consumption and high spectral *** paper formulates the problem of joint beamforming and power allocation for a multiple-input single-output(mISO)multi-cell network with local observations by taking the energy efficiency into *** reduce the complexity of joint processing of received signals in presence of a large number of base station(BS),a new distributed framework is proposed for beamforming with multi-cell cooperation or *** optimization problem is modeled as a partially observable markov decision process(POmDP)and is solved by a distributed multi-agent self-decision beamforming(DmAB)algorithm based on the distributed deep recurrent Q-network(D2RQN).Furthermore,limited-information exchange scheme is designed for the inter-cell cooperation to boost the global *** proposed learning architecture,with considerably less information exchange,is effective and scalable for a high-dimensional problem with increasing ***,the proposed DmAB algorithms outperform distributed deep Q-network(DQN)based methods and non-learning based methods with significant performance improvement.
