This review addresses the growing interest for potassium-ion full-cells(KIFcs)in view of the transition from potassium-ion half-cells(KIhcs)toward commercial K-ion batteries(KIBs).It focuses on the key parameters of KIFcs such as the electrode/electrolyte interfaces challenge,major barriers,and recent advancements in *** strategies for enhancing KIFc performance,including interfaces co ntrol,electrolyte optimization,electrodes capacity ratio,electrode material screening and electrode design,are *** review highlights the need to evaluate KIBs in full-cell configurations as half-cell results are strongly impacted by the K metal *** also emphasizes the importance of understanding solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)formation in KIFcs and explores promising nonaqueous as well as quasiand all-solid-state electrolytes *** review thus paves the way for practical,cost-effective,and scalable KIBs as energy storage systems by offering insights and guidance for future research.

Retting has been employed to extract natural fibers from agricultural wastes as a biological and cost-effective approach for *** its global abundance,banana pseudo-stem is a promising agro-waste for lignocellulosic fiber *** this study,fibers were extracted from the pseudo-stems after being pre-treated under four conditions using seawater at room temperature for up to 35 d Bacterial isolation from the fresh seawater sample and screening for ligninolytic ability were *** load as well as laccase and manganese peroxidase enzyme activity profile assay during the retting duration were *** transform infrared(FT-IR)and X-day diffraction(XRD)analyses were also examined for both pre-treated and untreated extracted *** results shows that six out of the eight bacterial isolates had the ability to degrade *** treatments(Raw stem+Raw seawater)and(Autoclaved stem+Raw seawater)recorded the highest viable bacterial load of 9.24×102 and 4.46×102 cFU,respectively,on the 14th day of the retting ***,the highest laccase and manganese peroxidase enzymes activity was recorded for(Raw stem+Raw seawater)and(Autoclaved stem+Raw seawater)treatments in the second to the third *** FT-IR spectra of the pre-treated fibers revealed relative reductions in peaks attributed to polysaccharides and other amorphous substances for all retting *** XRD diffractogram revealed that the crystallinity index(cI)of pre-treated fibers increased in all seawater retting treatment ***,the cI for fibers pre-treated under enzymatic conditions were enhanced even after five *** analysis for selected bacterial isolates showed homology to sequences of Bacillus velezensis,Shewanella sp.L8–5,and citrobacter amalonaticus and Bacillus subtilis j8 *** these findings,it was suggested that physical,biological,and chemical actions were collectively involved in the seawater retting process of banana ps

BAcKGROUND Several bibliometric analyses have been carried out to identify research hotspots and trends in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)***,there are still significant knowledge gaps that must be filled to advance our understanding of and ability to treat *** To evaluate,through bibliometric and visual analysis,the current status of related research,related research frontiers,and the developmental trends in the field of diet and *** We retrieved publications about diet and NAFLD published between 1987 and 2022 from ***,we used VOSviewer 1.6.20 to perform bibliometric analysis and *** We found a total of 1905 studies,including 1637(85.93%)original articles and 195(10.24%)reviews,focused on the examination of NAFLD and its correlation with diet that were published between 1987 and *** the remaining five types of documents,38 were letters,notes,editorials,meeting minutes,or brief surveys,representing 1.99%of the total *** countries with the most publications on this topic were china(n=539;28.29%),followed by the United States(n=379;19.90%),Japan(n=133;6.98%),and South Korea(n=127;6.6%).According to the citation analysis,the retrieved papers were cited an average of 32.3 times and had an h-index of 106,with 61014 total *** two main clusters on the map included those related to:(1)Inflammation and oxidative stress;and(2)Dietary interventions for *** This was the first study to use data taken from Scopus to visualize network mapping in a novel bibliometric analysis of studies focused on diet and *** 2017,the two domains that received the most attention were“dietary interventions for NAFL”’and“‘inflammation and oxidative stress implicated in NAFLD and its correlation with diet.”We believe that this study provides important information for academics,dietitians,and doctors,and that additional research on dietary interventions and NAFLD is warranted.

Enhanced saturation magnetization in La^(3+) doped Nico ferrites prepared by sol-gel auto-combustion method

Lanthanum doped nickel-cobalt nano ferrites with chemical formula Ni_(0.5)co_(0.5)LaxFe_(2-x)O_(4)(x=0.05,0,10,0.15 and 0,20) were prepared using a simple sol-gel auto combustion *** basic structural properties were determined by X-ray diffraction method and the formation of single phased spinel ferrite was *** crystalline size decreased from 25 to 11 nm and lattice parameter a increases with increase of La *** surface morphology of these ferrites was observed by field-emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM) and agglomerated irregular grains are observed with increase of the rare earth element La ***-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX) result confirms the presence of the required *** Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) spectrum indicates the formation of the spinel ferrite structure with M-O *** direct band measurements from ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy(UV-Vis) spectroscopy indicate that the direct band gap decreases from 1.39 to 1.19 eV for x=0.05 to x=0.15,then increases to 1.28 eV for x=*** room temperature magnetic properties of these ferrites were studied by a vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM).The enhanced saturation magnetization of 49.73 emu/g is observed for x=0.10 and then saturation magnetizations are gradually decreased for x=0.15 and x=*** the remanent magnetization and coercivity also follow the same trend.

Purpose:To investigate which scoring system is the most accurate tool in predicting mortality among the infected patients who present to the emergency department in a middle-income country,and to validate a new scoring system to predict bacterial ***:This was a retrospective,single-center study among patients who were admitted via the emergency department of a public *** patients who were started on antibiotics were included in the study,while patients agedcollected includeding patients'demographics,vital signs and basic laboratory parameters like white blood cell count and *** sensitivity and specificity of different scoring systems were calculated as well as their negative and positive predictive *** regression was used to derive a novel early warning system for bacterial *** area under the receiver operating characteristic(AUROc)was computed for each scoring ***:In total,109 patients were included in this *** quick sequential organ failure assessment(qSOFA),search out severity and rapid acute physiology score had the highest AUROc(≥0.89)for predicting mortality,while qSOFA and universal vital assessment were the simplest scoring systems with an AUROc>0.85;however,these scoring systems failed to predict whether patients were truly *** INFEcTIONS(short for impaired mental status,not conscious,fast heart rate,elevated creatinine,high temperature,on inotrope,low oxygen,high neutrophils and high sugar)model reached an AUROc of 0.88 to more accurately predict the infectious state of a ***:Middle-income countries should use the qSOFA or universal vital assessment score to identify the sickest patients in emergency *** INFEcTIONS score may help recognize patients with bacterial infections,but it should be further validated in multiple countries prior to widely use.

The emergence of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-coV-2)in 2019 prompted scientific,medical,and biotech communities to investigate infection-and vaccine-induced immune responses in the context of this pathogen.B-cell and antibody responses are at the center of these investigations,as neutralizing antibodies(nAbs)are an important correlate of protection(cOP)from infection and the primary target of SARS-coV-2 vaccine *** addition to absolute levels,nAb longevity,neutralization breadth,immunoglobulin isotype and subtype composition,and presence at mucosal sites have become important topics for scientists and health policy *** recent pandemic was and still is a unique setting in which to study de novo and memory B-cell(MBc)and antibody responses in the dynamic interplay of infection-and vaccine-induced *** also provided an opportunity to explore new vaccine platforms,such as mRNA or adenoviral vector vaccines,in unprecedented cohort *** with the technological advances of recent years,this situation has provided detailed mechanistic insights into the development of B-cell and antibody responses but also revealed some unexpected *** this review,we summarize the key findings of the last 2.5 years regarding infection-and vaccine-induced B-cell immunity,which we believe are of significant value not only in the context of SARS-coV-2 but also for future vaccination approaches in endemic and pandemic settings.
