Progress on gas-solid phase photoreactor and its application in CO_(2) reduction

The burgeoning field of photocatalytic reduction of CO_(2)has emerged as a remarkable promising solution to address some of the most pressing global energy and environmental issues which we face *** around the global have been striving to augment the efficiency of CO_(2)photocatalytic reduction,employing strategies that range from modifying the fundamental properties of photocatalysts to suppress the electron-hole recombination,optimizing reaction conditions to achieve the highest yield,and conceptualizing and constructing photoreactors to improve the adsorption *** these factors,the photoreactor plays a critical role in enhancing the overall photocatalytic *** the various types of photoreactors and their operational dynamic can significantly influence the experimental design,thus guiding the data collecting and *** to the solid-liquid phase,gas-solid phase photocatalytic reduction of CO_(2)is gaining recognition for its potential advantages,such as rapid molecular diffusion rates,adjustable CO_(2)concentrations,and uniform and sufficient light ***,the currently reported gas-solid phase photoreactors are still in their *** this review,we dissect the underlying mechanism of photocatalytic CO_(2)reduction and the performance evaluation criteria of photoreactors,and review the development process of gas-solid phase ***,we explore the evolution of gas-solid phase photoreactors,elucidating their growth trajectory and future *** present a comprehensive classification of gas-solid phase photoreactors,offering a new insight into their design and functionality,summarizing their strengths and inevitable ***,we provide a forward-looking perspective on the future developmental prospects of carbon neutrality.

Influenza A virus(IAV)binds sialic acid receptors on the cell surface to enter the host cells,which is the key step in initiating infection,transmission and *** the factors that contribute to the highly efficient entry of IAV into human cells will help elucidate the mechanism of viral entry and pathogenicity,and provide new targets for *** the present study,we reported a novel membrane protein,C1QTNF5,which binds to the hemagglutinin protein of IAV and promotes IAV infection in vitro and in *** found that the HA1 region of IAV hemagglutinin is critical for the interaction with C1QTNF5 protein,and C1QTNF5 interacts with hemagglutinin mainly through its N-terminus(1–103 aa).In addition,we further demonstrated that overexpression of C1QTNF5 promotes IAV entry,while blocking the interaction between C1QTNF5 and IAV hemagglutinin greatly inhibits viral ***,C1QTNF5 does not function as a receptor to mediate IAV infection in sialic acid-deficient CHO-Lec2 cells,but promotes IAV to attach to these cells,suggesting that C1QTNF5 is an important attachment factor for *** work reveals C1QTNF5 as a novel IAV attachment factor and provides a new perspective for antiviral strategies.

A comprehensive fractal char combustion model

The char combustion mechanisms were analyzed and a comprehensive fractal char combustion model was developed to give a better understanding and better predictions of the char combustion characteristics. Most of the complex factors affecting the char combustion were included, such as the coupling effects between the pore diffusion and the chemical reactions, the evolution of the char pore structures and the variation of the apparent reaction order during combustion, the CO/CO_2 ratio in the combustion products and the correction for oxy-char combustion. Eleven different chars were then combusted in two drop tube furnaces with the conversions of the partly burned char samples measured by thermogravimetric analysis. The combustion processes of these chars were simulated with the predicted char conversions matching very well with the measured data which shows that this char combustion model has good accuracy. The apparent reaction order of the char combustion decreases, stabilizes and then increases during the combustion process. The combustion rates in the oxy-mode are generally slower than in the air-mode and the effect of the char-CO_2 gasification reaction becomes obvious only when the temperature is relatively high and the O_2 concentration is relatively low.

Subsurface multi-physical characterization of mountain excavation and city construction in loess plateau with a fiber-optic sensing system

An improved lightweight network based on deep learning for grape recognition in unstructured environments

Many aphid species exhibit both cyclical parthenogenesis(CP)and the obligate parthenogenesis(OP)life history,which are genetically *** CP aphid lineages,the parthenogenetic individuals can switch from asexual to sexual reproduction quickly in response to environmental factors such as changes in photoperiod and ***,the OP aphid lineages do not undergo sexual reproduction under any *** far,mechanisms underlying the reproduction switch in CP aphids have not been fully *** padi,a serious worldwide insect pest of wheat,has both CP and OP *** diphosphate-glycosyltransferases(UGTs)are enzymes that participate in the metabolic detoxification of ***,we identified 43 RpUGT genes from *** genome and transcriptome sequences,and found that:(1)the UGT content of the CP lineage was significantly higher than that in the OP lineage at the key time points when CP lineage mainly produce virginoparae,gynoparae,and males under inducing condition,while there were no significant difference under normal conditions;(2)RpUGT344J7 gene was highly expressed during the time points when CP lineages produce gynopara and males;(3)the critical time points for CP lineages to produce virginoparaee,gynoparae,and males were affected when the CP lineages were injected with dsRpUGT344J7;(4)the knockdown of RpUGT344J7 caused a significant reduction in the total number of virginoparae,gynoparae,and males in the offspring under inducing *** findings contribute to our understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying the quick shift from asexual to sexual reproduction in aphid species.

DNA methyltransferase(MTase) activity detection has received increasing attention as a promising biomarker and therapeutic target. However, most of these detection methods rely on endonuclease digestion and signal groups ***, we present a novel platform for sensing DNA MTase activity that overcomes these limitations. Our approach is both endonuclease-free and label-free, utilizing a combination of a high-affinity streptavidin-methyl-CpG-binding domain(SA-MBD) protein and surface plasmon resonance(SPR) technology. The SA-MBD protein specifically recognizes a hairpin probe containing methylated CpG sites, which is treated with *** MTase. This recognition event generates a corresponding SPR response signal. The limit of detection is as low as 0.016 U/mL, owing to the high-a ffinity of the SA-MBD ***, we have demonstrated the feasibility of our method for *** MTase activity analysis in serum and inhibitor screening, which implies the potential prospects for biomedical research.
