A novel image reversible data-hiding scheme based on primitive and varying radix numerical model is presented in this *** varying radix,variable sum of data may be embedded in various pixels of *** scheme is made adaptive using the correlation of the neighboring *** are embedded as blocks of non-uniform length in the high-frequency regions of the rhombus mean interpolated image.A higher amount of data is embedded in the high-frequency regions and lesser data in the low-frequency regions of the *** size of the embedded data depends on the statistics of the pixel distribution in the cover *** of the major issues in reversible data embedding,the location map,is minimized because of the interpolation *** technique,which is actually LSB matching,embeds only the residuals of modulo radix into the LSBs of each *** attacks on this RDH technique will be able to decode the hidden content in the marked *** proposed scheme delivers a prominent visual quality despite high embedding *** tests carried out on over 100 natural image data sets and medical images show an improvement in results compared to the existing *** the algorithm is based on the variable radix number system,it is more resistant to most of the steganographic *** results were compared with a higher embedding capacity of up to 1.5 bpp reversible schemes for parameters like Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio(PSNR),Embedding Capacity(EC)and Structural Similarity Index Metric(SSIM).

The present paper summarises the synthesis of La3+doped zinc oxide nanoparticles using Aloe vera gel by solution combustion method and the characterization using a powder X-ray diffractometer(PXRD),a transmission electron microscope(TEM),an X-ray photometric spectrometer(XPS),a Raman spectrometer and their applications in optical devices and latent *** pattern confirms the crystallite size of La3+doped ZnO varies from 13 to 20 *** size varies inversely with doping *** properties are found to be the maximum for 2 mol% doping *** spectra extends the use of ZnO:La3+nanoparticles in blue green *** nanoparticles also have superior property as a fluorescent labels in fingerprints.

Protein trafficking or protein sorting in eukaryotes is a complicated process and is carried out based on the information contaified in the protein. Many methods reported prediction of the subcellular location of proteins from sequence information. However, most of these prediction methods use a flat structure or parallel architecture to perform prediction. In this work, we introduce ensemble classifiers with features that are extracted directly from full length protein sequences to predict locations in the protein-sorting pathway hierarchically. Sequence driven features, sequence mapped features and sequence autocorrelation features were tested with ensemble learners and their performances were compared. When evaluated by independent data testing, ensemble based-bagging algorithms with sequence feature composition, transition and distribution （CTD） successfully classified two datasets with accuracies greater than 90%. We compared our results with similar published methods, and our method equally performed with the others at two levels in the secreted pathway. This study shows that the feature CTD extracted from protein sequences is effective in capturing biological features among compartments in secreted pathways.

Comparison of TiAlN, AlCrN, and AlCrN/TiAlN coatings for cutting-tool applications

Monolayer and bilayer coatings of TiAlN, AlCrN, and AlCrN/TiAlN were deposited onto tungsten carbide inserts using the plasma enhanced physical vapor deposition process. The microstructures of the coatings were characterized using scanning electron microscopy （SEM） and atomic force microscopy （AFM）. The SEM micrographs revealed that the AlrN and AlCrN/TiAlN coatings were uniform and highly dense and contained only a limited number of microvoids. The TiAIN coating was non-uniform and highly porous and contained more micro droplets. The hardness and scratch resistance of the specimens were measured using a nanoindentation tester and scratch tester, respectively. Different phases formed in the coatings were analyzed by X-ray diffraction （XRD）. The AlCrN/TiAlN coating exhibited a higher hardness （32.75 GPa）, a higher Young＇s modulus （561.97 GPa）, and superior scratch resistance （LcN = 46 N） compared to conventional coatings such as TiAlN, A1CrN, and TiN.

Nearly half of the world population suffers from micronutrient malnutrition,particularly Zn *** is important to understand genetic variation for uptake and translocation behaviors of Zn in relevant crop species to increase Zn concentration in edible *** the present study,genetic variation in grain Zn concentration of 319 finger millet genotypes was *** genetic variation was found among the genotypes,with concentrations ranging from 10 to 86 μg g^(-1)*** and translocation studies with Zn/^(65) Zn application in 12 selected low-Zn genotypes showed wide variation in root uptake and shoot translocation,with genotypes GEC331 and GEC164 showing greater uptake and *** GEC164 and GEC543 showed increased grain Zn *** GEC331 and GEC164 also showed improved yield under Zn *** variation in grain Zn concentration among finger millet genotypes found in this study offers opportunities to improve Zn nutrition through breeding.

Niemann-Pick disease type C1 （NPC1）, caused by mutations of NPC1 gene, is an inherited lysosomal lipid storage disorder. Loss of functional NPC1 causes the accumulation of free cholesterol （FC） in endocytic organelles that comprised the characteristics of late endosomes and/or lysosomes. In this study we analyzed the pathogenic effect of 103 nsSNPs reported in NPC1 using computational methods. Rl186C, S940L, R958Q and I1061T mutations were predicted as most deleterious and disease associated with NPC1 using SIFT, Polyphen 2.0, PANTHER, PhD-SNP, Pmut and MUTPred tools which were also endorsed with previous in vivo experimental studies. To understand the atomic arrangement in 3D space, the native and disease associated mutant （Rl186C, S940L, R958Q and I1061T） structures were modeled. Quantitative structural and flexibility analysis was conceded to observe the structural consequence of prioritized disease associated mutations （R1186C, S940L, R958Q and I1061T）. Accessible surface area （ASA）, free folding energy （FFE） and hydrogen bond （NH bond） showed more flexibility in 3D space in mutant structures. Based on the quantitative assessment and flexibility analysis of NPC1 variants, I1061T showed the most deleterious effect. Our analysis provides a clear clue to wet laboratory scientists to understand the structural and functional effect of NPCI gene upon mutation.

Objective:To determine the possible bioactive components of the ethanolic extract of leaves of Elaeocarpus serratus(***).Methods:The present research was carried out by using GC-MS analysis,while mass spectra of the compounds found in the extract was matched with the National Institute of Standards and Technology and Wiley ***:Thirty components from leaves of the above said plant were *** active principles with their retention time,molecular formula,molecular weight and concentration(%)in the ethanol extracts of leaf of *** are ***:This is the first report of documentation of active constituents from leaves of *** research reveals the potential of *** leaves as a good source of bioactive compounds such as fatty acid esters,alcohols,hydrocarbons,aldehydes,alkenes,fatty acids and amides that justify the use of this plant for its various ailments by traditional practitioners.

Passive Steganalysis Based on Higher Order Image Statistics of Curvelet Transform

Steganographic techniques accomplish covert communication by embedding secret messages into innocuous digital images in ways that are imperceptible to the human eye. This paper presents a novel passive steganalysis strategy in which the task is approached as a pattern classification problem. A critical part of the steganalyser design depends on the selection of informative features. This paper is aimed at proposing a novel attack with improved performance indices with the following implications： 1） employing higher order statistics from a curvelet sub-band image representation that offers better discrimination ability for detecting stego anomalies in images, as compared to other conventional wavelet transforms; 2） increasing the sensitivity and specificity of the system by the feature reduction phase; 3） realizing the system using an efficient classification engine, a neuro-C4.5 classifier, which provides better classification rate. An extensive experimental evaluation on a database containing 5600 clean and stego images shows that the proposed scheme is a state-of-the-art steganalyser that outperforms other previous steganalytic methods.
