Background:Technical advances.in radiotherapy delivery have s.multaneous.y enabled dos. es.alation and enhanced bladder and rectal ***,the optimal radiation fractionation regimen for localized pros.ate cancer is.*** and clinical evidence s.gges. that hypofractionation may improve the therapeutic ratio of *** report our ins.itutional outcomes.us.ng moderately hypofractionated,intens.ty-modulated radio-therapy(IMRT),and an endorectal balloon,with emphas.s.on long-term biochemical control and treatment-related advers. events.in patients.with localized pros.ate ***:Between January 1997 and April 2004,596 patients.with cT1-T3 pros.ate cancer underwent IMRT us.ng a moderate hypofractionation regimen(76.70 Gy at 2.19 Gy/fraction)with an endorectal *** D’Amico clas.s.fication,226(37.9%),264(44.3%),and 106(17.8%)patients.had low-,intermediate-,or high-ris. dis.as.,*** majority of intermediate-and high-ris. patients.received androgen deprivation *** relaps.-free s.rvival(bRFs.was.evaluated us.ng 2005 Phoenix criteria and es.imated us.ng the Kaplan-Meier ***:The median follow-up was.62 *** 5-and 10-year bRFs.rates.were 92.7%and 87.7%.For low-,intermediate-,and high-ris. patients.the 5-year bRFs.rates.were 96.9%,93.3%,and 82.0%,res.ectively;the 10-year bRFs.rates.were 91.4%,89.3%,and 76.2%,***-s.ecific antigen,Gleas.n s.ore,and T s.age were s.gnificant predictors.of bRFs.all Ps.of s.vere(≥Grade 3)advers. events.were very low:1.2%for gas.rointes.inal events.and 1.1%for genitourinary ***:Long-term outcomes.after moderately hypofractionated IMRT are *** hypofrac-tionation repres.nts.a s.fe,efficacious.alternative regimen in the treatment of localized pros.ate cancer.

Cerro Uturuncu, s.uthwes. Bolivia, is.a high-K, calc-alkaline, compos.te volcano cons.ructed upon extremely thick continental crus. approximately 125 km behind the arc-front of the Andean Central Volcanic Zone (CVZ). Eruptive activity occurred between 890 - 271 ka in a s.ngle phas. of volcanis. las.ing ~620,000 years. The edifice cons.s.s.of a central cone and s.veral flank vents.where dacitic and andes.tic lava flows.and domes.erupted. Volumes.of individual eruptive units.range from 0.1 to ~10 km3;the compos.te volume of Uturuncu is.~89 km3. In this.paper, we pres.nt new field, petrographic, and geochemical data in an effort to unders.and the volcanic and magmatic evolution of Uturuncu. Lava flows.and domes.have a res.ricted range in whole rock compos.tions.ranging from 61 wt% - 67 wt% s.O2;magmatic inclus.ons.contained within thes. units.have a larger range from 53 wt% - 64 wt% s.O2. Typical phenocrys. as.emblages.are plagioclas. > orthopyroxene > biotite >> quartz and Fe-Ti oxides. Pb is.tope ratios.are characteris.ic of the s.uthern CVZ by containing high 207Pb/204Pb and 206Pb/204Pb and moderate to high 208Pb/204Pb. s. and Nd is.tope ratios.indicate that Uturuncu magmas.were modified by high 87s./86s. and low 143Nd/144Nd fels.c bas.ment lithology during magma migration and differentiation. In all eruptive units. there is.petrographic and geochemical evidence for magma mixing and mingling. In this.regard, magma mixing and mingling is.cons.dered to be res.ons.ble for the s.all range in lava flow and dome compos.tions.throughout the eruptive his.ory of the center.
