Negative binomial regression is a powerful technique for modeling count data,particularly when dealing with ***,estimating the parameters for large-dimensional sparse models is challenging due to the complexity of optimizing the mean and dispersion parameter of the negative binomial *** address this issue,the authors propose a novel approach that employs two iterations of the majorize-minimize(MM)algorithm,one for estimating the dispersion parameter and the other for estimating the mean *** approaches improve the convergence speed and stability of the *** authors also use group penalty for variable selection,which enhances the accuracy and efficiency of the *** proposed method provides an explicit solution,simplifies the iteration process,and maintains good stability while ensuring algorithm ***,the authors apply the proposed algorithm to the zero-inflated model and demonstrate its promising predictive performance on specific data *** research has important implications for count data modeling and analysis in various fields,such as data mining,machine learning,and bioinformatics.

Background Goose, descendants of migratory ancestors, have undergone extensive selective breeding, resulting in their remarkable ability to accumulate fat in the liver and exhibit a high tolerance for significant energy intake. As a result, goose offers an excellent model for studying obesity, metabolic disorders, and liver diseases in mammals. Although the impact of the three-dimensional arrangement of chromatin within the cell nucleus on gene expression and transcriptional regulation is widely acknowledged, the precise functions of chromatin architecture reorganization during fat deposition in goose liver tissues still need to be fully *** In this study, geese exhibited more pronounced changes in the liver index and triglyceride(TG) content following the consumption of the high-fat diet(HFD) than mice without significant signs of inflammation. Additionally, we performed comprehensive analyses on 10 goose liver tissues(5 HFD, 5 normal), including generating highresolution maps of chromatin architecture, conducting whole-genome gene expression profiling, and identifying H3K27ac peaks in the livers of geese and mice subjected to the HFD. Our results unveiled a multiscale restructuring of chromatin architecture, encompassing Compartment A/B, topologically associated domains, and interactions between promoters and enhancers. The dynamism of the three-dimensional genome architecture, prompted by the HFD, assumed a pivotal role in the transcriptional regulation of crucial genes. Furthermore, we identified genes that regulate chromatin conformation changes, contributing to the metabolic adaptation process of lipid deposition and hepatic fat changes in geese in response to excessive energy intake. Moreover, we conducted a cross-species analysis comparing geese and mice exposed to the HFD, revealing unique characteristics specific to the goose liver compared to a mouse. Objective: To determine whether monotropein has an anticancer effect and explore its potential mechanisms against colorectal cancer(CRC) through network pharmacology and molecular docking combined with experimental verification. Methods: Network pharmacology and molecular docking were used to predict potential targets of monotropein against CRC. Cell counting kit assay, plate monoclonal assay and microscopic observation were used to investigate the antiproliferative effects of monotropein on CRC cells HCT116, HT29 and LoVo. Flow cytometry and scratch assay were used to analyze apoptosis and cell cycle, as well as cell migration, respectively in HCT116, HT29, and LoVo cells. Western blotting was used to detect the expression of proteins related to apoptosis, cell cycle, and cell migration, and the expression of proteins key to the Akt pathway. Results: The Gene Ontology and Reactome enrichment analyses indicated that the anticancer potential of monotropein against CRC might be involved in multiple cancer-related signaling pathways. Among these pathways, RAC-beta serine/threonine-protein kinase(Akt1, Akt2), cyclin-dependent kinase 6(CDK6), matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP9), epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR), cell division control protein 42 homolog(CDC42) were shown as the potential anticancer targets of monotropein against CRC. Molecular docking suggested that monotropein may interact with the 6 targets(Akt1, Akt2, CDK6, MMP9, EGFR, CDC42). Subsequently, cell activity of HCT116, HT29 and LoVo cell lines were significantly suppressed by monotropein(PlinD1, CDK4 and CDK6, inhibited cell migration by suppressing the expressions of CDC42 and MMP9(Pling pathway. li-CO_(2)batteries are among the most intriguing techniques for balancing the carbon cycle,but are challenged by the annoyed thermodynamic barrier of the li_(2)CO_(3)decomposition ***,we demonstrate the electrocatalytic performances of two-dimensional(2D)CoAl-layer double hydroxide(LDH)nanosheets can be significantly improved by trans-dimensional crosslinking with three-dimensional(3D)multilevel nanoporous(MP)-RuCoAl alloy(MP-RuCoAl alloy⊥CoAl-LDH).The MP-RuCoAl alloy⊥CoAl-LDH with multiscale pore channels and abundant nano-heterointerface is directly prepared by controllable etching Al from a Ru-Co-Al master alloy along with simultaneous partial oxidization of Al and Co *** MP-RuCoAl is composed of various intermetallic compounds and Ru with abundant grain boundaries,and forms numerous heterointerface with 2D CoAl-LDH *** multiscale porous metallic network benefits mass and electron transportation as well as discharge product storage and enables a rich multiphase reaction *** situ differential electrochemical mass spectrometry shows that the mass-to-charge ratio in the charging process is~0.733 which is consistent with the theoretical value of 3/4,stating that the reversible co-decomposition of li_(2)CO_(3)and C can be achieved with the MP-RuCoAl alloy⊥*** Ketjen black(KB)/MP-RuCoAl⊥CoAl-LDH battery demonstrates a high cyclability for over 2270 h(227 cycles)with a lower voltage gap stabilized at~1.3 V at 200 mA·g^(−1).Our findings here provide useful guidelines for developing high efficiency transition metal based electrocatalysts by coupling with conductive porous substrate for impelling the development of practical li-CO_(2)battery systems.

In this paper,finite element method is used to calculate the static performance of gas journal bearing,in which rotation speed term is introduced into the stiffness matrix of linear triangular element to realize the performance calculation of the bearing with rotation *** results indicate that the average gas film thicknesses corresponding to the maximum load capac-ity and stiffness,and the minimum attitude angle increase with the growth of orifice *** capacity and stiffness significantly improved with the increase of rotation speed,eccentricity ratio and supply pressure when the bearing has thin average gas film *** angle increases with the growth of rotation speed,while the growth rate slows down or even decreases at high *** most effective way of reducing attitude angle is to increase supply *** can be found that rotation speed affects attitude angle through changing gas pressure difference between two orifices,while other parameters have the same effect by changing gas pressure at orifice outlet.

The operation of integrated energy systems(IESs)is confronted with great challenges for increasing penetration rate of renewable energy and growing complexity of energy *** generation is one of ordinary methods to alleviate the system uncertainties by extracting several typical scenarios to represent the original high-dimensional *** paper proposes a novel representative scenario generation method based on the feature extraction of panel *** original high-dimensional data are represented by an aggregated indicator matrix using principal component analysis to preserve temporal ***,the aggregated indicator matrix is clustered by an algorithm combining density canopy and *** with the proposed scenario generation method,an optimal operation model of IES is established,where the objective is to minimize the annual operation costs considering carbon trading ***,case studies based on the data of Aachen,Germany in 2019 are *** results indicate that the adjusted rand index(ARI)and silhouette coefficient(SC)of the proposed method are 0.6153 and 0.6770,respectively,both higher than the traditional methods,namely K-medoids,K-means++,and density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise(DBSCAN),which means the proposed method has better *** error between optimal operation results of the IES obtained by the proposed method and all-year time series benchmark value is 0.1%,while the calculation time is reduced from 11029 s to 188 s,which verifies that the proposed method can be used to optimize operation strategy of IES with high efficiency without loss of accuracy.

Hydrogen energy stands out as one of the most promising alternative energy sources due to its cleanliness and *** water splitting offers a sustainable pathway for hydrogen ***,the kinetic rate of the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is sluggish,emphasizing the critical need for stable and highly active electrocatalysts to facilitate HER and enhance reaction *** metal-based catalysts have garnered attention for their favorable catalytic activity in electrochemical hydrogen evolution in alkaline *** this investigation,flower-like nanorods of MoS_(2) were directly synthesized in situ on a nickel foam substrate,followed by the formation of MoP/MoS_(2)-nickel foam(NF)heterostructures through high-temperature phosphating in a tube furnace *** findings reveal that MoP/MoS_(2)-NF-450 exhibits outstanding electrocatalytic performance in an alkaline milieu,demonstrating a low overpotential(90 mV)and remarkable durability at a current density of 10 mA/cm^(2).Comprehensive analysis indicates that the introduction of phosphorus(P)atoms enhances the synergistic effect with MoS_(2),while the distinctive flower-like nanorod structure of MoS_(2) exposes more active ***,the interface between the MoP/MoS_(2) heterostructure and NF facilitates electron transfer during hydrogen evolution,thereby enhancing electrocatalytic *** design and synthesis of such catalysts offer a valuable approach for the development of high-performance hydrogen evolution electrocatalysts.

For complex flows in compressors containing flow separations and adverse pressure gradients,the numerical simulation results based on Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS)models often deviate from experimental measurements more or *** improve the prediction accuracy and reduce the difference between the RANS prediction results and experimental measurements,an experimental data-driven flow field prediction method based on deep learning and l_(1)regularization is proposed and applied to a compressor cascade flow *** inlet boundary conditions and turbulence model parameters are calibrated to obtain the high-fidelity flow *** Saplart-Allmaras and SST turbulence models are used independently for mutual *** contributions of key modified parameters are also analyzed via sensitivity *** results show that the prediction error can be reduced by nearly 70%based on the proposed *** flow fields predicted by the two calibrated turbulence models are almost the same and nearly independent of the turbulence *** corrections of the inlet boundary conditions reduce the error in the first half of the *** turbulence model calibrations fix the overprediction of flow separation on the suction surface near the tail edge.

Globally,most organic-rich shales are deposited with volcanic ash *** ash,a source for many sedimentary basins,can affect the sedimentary water environment,alter the primary productivity,and preserve the organic matter(OM)through physical,chemical,and biological *** an increasing number of breakthroughs in shale oil exploration in the Bohai Bay Basin in recent years,less attention has been paid to the crucial role of volcanic impact especially its influence on the OM enrichment and hydrocarbon ***,we studied the petrology,mineralogy,and geochemical characteristics of the organic-rich shale in the upper submember of the fourth member(Es_(4)^(1))and the lower submember of the third member(Es_(3)^(3))of the Shahejie Formation,aiming to better understand the volcanic impact on organic-rich shale *** results show that total organic carbon is higher in the upper shale intervals rich in volcanic ash with enriched light rare earth elements and moderate Eu *** indicates that volcanism promoted OM formation before or after the *** positive correlation between Eu/Eu*and Post-Archean Australian Shale indicates hydrothermal activity before the volcanic *** plane graph of the hydrocarbon-generating intensity(S1+S2)suggests that the heat released by volcanism promoted hydrocarbon ***,the nutrients carried by volcanic ash promoted biological blooms during Es_(4)^(1 )and Es_(3)^(3) deposition,yielding a high primary *** blooms consume large amounts of oxygen and form anoxic environments conducive to the burial and preservation of ***,this study helps to further understand the organic-inorganic interactions caused by typical geological events and provides a guide for the next step of shale oil exploration and development in other lacustrine basins in China.
