GRB 130310A: very high peak energy and thermal emission

The special GRB 130310 A was observed by Fermi Gamma-Ray Burst Monitor and Large Area Telescope,with T90~2.4 *** a combination of a Band function and a blackbody(BB)function,the time-resolved spectral analysis of GRB 130310 A confirmed that there is a sub-dominate thermal component in the early period(e.g.,slice T0+[4.03-4.14]s)spectrum with BB temperature(kT)being~7~5 keV,which can be interpreted as photosphere *** precursor of GRB 130310 A can be fitted well with a BB component with kT~45 keV,which is higher than that of the main *** suggests that the radiation of GRB 130310 A is in transition from thermal to *** a transition is an indication of the change in jet composition from a fireball to a Poynting-flux-dominated jet.A very high peak energy is obtained in the first time bin,with the peak energy E_(p) of the Band component for Band+BB and Band model being~8.5~5.2 MeV and~11.1~7.4 MeV,***,the E_(p) drops to~1 *** E_(p) evolution patterns with respect to the pulses in the GRB 130310 A light curves show a hard-to-soft *** interpretation of the high peak energy E_(p) within the photosphere and internal shock model is *** also suggests that at least for some bursts,the Band component must invoke a non-thermal origin in the optically thin region of a GRB *** the redshift is z~0.1~8,the radius of the jet base r_(0)~10^(9) cm to allow(1+σ_(15))>1 in line with the calculation results of the magnetization parameter at~1015 cm(σ_(15)).However,the value of(1+σ_(15))is■1 in the zone z around 3 for r_(0)~10^(9) cm,suggesting the non-excluded possibility that the origin is from ICMART with a low *** photosphere-internal shock seems capable of interpreting the high peak energy,which requires electron Lorentz factorγe~60 andεe~0.06.

X-ray flares raising upon magnetar plateau as an implication of a surrounding disk of newborn magnetized neutron star

The X-ray flares have usually been ascribed to long-lasting activities of the central engine of gamma-ray bursts(GRBs),e.g.,fallback *** GRB X-ray plateaus,however,favor a millisecond magnetar central *** fallback accretion can be significantly suppressed due to the propeller effect of a ***,if the propeller regime cannot resist the mass flow onto the surface of the magnetar efficiently,the X-ray flares raising upon the magnetar plateau would be *** this work,such peculiar cases are connected to the accretion process of the magnetars,and an implication for magnetar-disc structure is *** investigate the repeated accretion process with multi-flare GRB 050730,and give a discussion for the accretion-induced variation of the magnetic field in GRB 111209 *** or more flares exhibit in the GRB 050730,060607 A and 140304 A;by adopting magnetar mass M=1.4 M_(⊙)and radius R=12 km,the average mass flow rates of the corresponding surrounding disk are 3.53×10^(-4)M_(⊙)s^(-1).4.23×10^(-4)M_(⊙)s^(-1),and 4.33×10^(-4)M_(⊙)s^(-1),and the corresponding average sizes of the magnetosphere are 5.01×10^(6)cm,6.45 x 10^(-6)cm,and 1.09×10^(-7)cm,respectively.A statistic analysis that contains eight GRBs within 12 flares shows that the total mass loading in single flare is~2×10^(-5)M_(⊙).In the lost mass of a disk,there are about 0.1%used to feed a collimated jet.

Scleral buckling combined with internal cyclopexy for severe traumatic cyclodialysis cleft in open globe injuries

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of scleral buckling combined with internal cyclopexy on the treatment of severe traumatic cyclodialysis cleft in open globe injuries(OGIS). This retrospective study recruited 10 patients of 10 eyes. With our surgical intervention, all the 10 eyes achieved retinal and ciliary body anatomic re-attachment. The choroidal ruptures in nine eyes were closed with complete choroidal reattachment. Postoperative best-corrected visual acuity of nine eyes had various improvements. The mean intraocular pressure was increased from 8.9±2.6 mm Hg to 13.4±4.4 mm Hg. Eventually, six eyes underwent silicone oil(SO) removal without complications, two eyes still had SO tamponade and two eyes became SO-dependent eyes. The result shows that internal direct cyclopexy combined with scleral buckling is an effective treatment for severe traumatic cyclodialysis cleft in OGIS.

The synthesis,characterization,and theoretical studies of titanium-μ-N_(2) complexes with di-anionic guanidinate ligands were reported as the first example of its ***,with(Me_(3)Si)_(2)N-guanidinate ligands,the mono-anionic guanidinate-supported titanium-μ-N2complex 1 was ***,reduction of 1 with potassium afforded the di-anionic guanidinate-supported titanium-μ-N_(2) complex 2 via cleavage of one N–Si bond of the(Me3Si)2N substituents in 1,changing the guanidinate ligands automatically from mono-anionic to di-anionic and remarkably lengthening the bond length of theμ-N_(2).Characteristic studies and DFT calculations were performed to reveal that the di-anionic guanidinate ligands stabilized the geometry of 2 and increased the charge density on the bridging dinitrogen.

The detection of quasi-periodic oscillations(QPOs)in magnetar giant flares(GFs)has brought a new perspective to studies of the mechanism of magnetar *** to the scarcity of GFs,searching for QPOs in magnetar short bursts is *** we report the detection of a narrow QPO at approximately 110 Hz and a wide QPO at approximately 60 Hz in the short magnetar burst SGR 150228213,with a confidence level of 3.35σ.This burst was initially attributed to 4U 0142+61 by Fermi/GBM on location,but we have not detected such QPOs in other bursts from this *** also found that there was a repeating fast radio burst associated with SGR 150228213 on ***,we discuss the possible origins of SGR 150228213.

Effects of Magnesium and Ferric Ions on Crystallization of Calcium Sulfate Dihydrate Under the Simulated Conditions of Wet Flue-gas Desulfurization

The influences of magnesium and ferric ions in their different ratios on the rate of gypsum crystallization were studied under the conditions similar to those of wet flue-gas desulfurization（WFGD）. The results show that addition of both Mg^2＋ and Fe^3＋ increased induction time and decreased the growth efficiency up to 50% compared with the baseline（without impurities） depending on the concentration and the type of impurity. The effects of Mg^2＋ and Fe^3＋ on the surface energy and the rate of nucleation were estimated by employing the classical nucleation theory. The surface energy decreased by 8% and 14% with the addition of 0.02 mol/L magnesium or ferric ions, respectively, compared to the baseline. Mg^2＋ and Fe^3＋ made the growth rate of the （020）, （021） and （040） faces of gypsum crystal a much greater reduction, which leads to the formation of needle crystals compared to the baseline which favors the formation of plate or flakes. Furthermore, an edge detection program was developed to quantify the effects of impurities on the filtration rate of gypsum product. The results show that the inhibition efficiency of the presence of 0.02 mol/L Mg^2＋ and Fe^3＋ on the filtration rate of gypsum crystal ranges from 22% to 39%.

Developing organic room-temperature phosphorescence(RTP)materials with a wide range of tunable-emission is significant in expanding the applications of RTP ***,we rationally designed amphiphilic alternating copolymers poly(1,2-bis(4-alkoxyphenyl)ethane-1,2-dione-alt-(ethylene glycol)x)(P(Bz-alt-EGx))that combined the advantage of alternating benzil and EGxskeleton,and tunable mainchain *** a mainchain conformation ordering assembly(COA)process,P(Bz-alt-EGx)self-assembled into well-defined platelets,and such assemblies emitted blue RTP at ca.425 nm due to the ordered folded-chain conformation and confined *** contrast,traditional self-assembly(TA)of P(Bz-alt-EGx)obtained less ordered aggregates,such as asymmetric worms,vesicles,and rod-like *** resultant less ordered aggregates exhibited yellow-green RTP at ca.550 *** wide-tuning RTP emission in solution(between blue and yellow-green,over125 nm)is realized using the P(Bz-alt-EG_(x))alternating copolymers under the treatment of different self-assembly *** study uncovers a new strategy to tailor the RTP emission through different self-assembly pathways and holds great promise for the fabrication of advanced optical materials.
