Hydration characteristics of Portland cement blended with class F fly ash in the presence of two different types of superplasticizers, na.ely sodium lignosulphonate (LS) and naphthalene sulphonate-formaldehyde condensate (NSF) was studied using different experimental techniques. Superplasticized blended Portland cement pastes were prepared using the values of standard water of consistency with different additions of each types of superplasticizers used. Pastes were hydrated for different time intervals under normal curing conditions. The results indicate that both of superplasticizers increase the workability and reduce the standard water of consistency. This results in an improvement in the mechanical properties of the superplasticized blended cement pastes at all ages of the hydration-hardening process. Naphthalene sulphonate-formaldehyde condensate was found to has the higher efficiency in improving the mechanical properties of the hardened pastes than that of sodium lignosulphonate superplasticizer.

Copper as well as copper base composites reinforced with coated and uncoated 1 wt% diamond, graphite particles or short carbon fibers are prepared by powder metallurgy process. The reinforcement particles were encapsulated with silver as well as copper layer by using the electroless deposition technique to investigate the influence of the reinforcement surface coating on the microstructure, density, electrical and thermal properties of the sintered samples. The coated and the uncoated powders were cold compacted at 600 MPa, and then sintered at 1173 K (900°C) for 2 h under hydrogen atmosphere. The phase composition, morphology and microstructure of the prepared powders as well as the copper base sintered composites were investigated using X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) and Scanning electron Microscope (SEM) equipped with an Energy Dispersive Spectrometer (EDS) respectively. The density of the sintered composites was measured by Archimedes method. The copper base consolidated composites had a density up to 96% and the reinforcement coated particles were distributed uniformly within the copper matrix better than the uncoated one. The electrical resistivity at room temperature and the heat transfer conduction of the produced samples were measured in a temperature range between 323 K (50°C) and 393 K (120°C). The results observed that the sintered materials prepared from the coated powder have lower electrical resistivity than the sintered materials prepared from the mixed powders. On the other hand the thermal conductivity values were calculated using the heat transfer conduction values by means of the Fourier formula. The results observed that the thermal conductivity of copper is (391 W/m·K), 1 wt% diamond/Cu is (408 W/m·K), 1 wt% graphite coated silver/Cu is (393 W/m·K), 1 wt% Cu coated short carbon fiber/Cu is (393 W/m·K), graphite/Cu is (383 W/m·K) and short carbon fiber/Cu is (382 W/m·K). The field equations of Kaluz-Klein （KK） theory have been applied in the domain of cosmology. These equations are solved for a fiat universe by taking the gravitational and the cosmological constants as a function of time t. We use Taylor＇s expansion of cosmological function, A（t）, up to the first order of the time t. The cosmological parameters are calculated and some cosmological problems are discussed.

Lung cancer is a lethal malignancy, however, no serum marker is routinely recommended till now. Prospectively two groups of patients included: Group I: Patients with advanced lung cancer. Group II: patients with benign lung disease as control. Serum Tissue Polypeptide Antigen (TPA) levels were measured by elISA technique before the first line chemotherapy. The TPA cutoff taken was 1800 pg./ml. End points were comparison of high TPA in cases and controls and correlation between high TPA and disease progression (PD), progression free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS). 30 patients with advanced lung cancer (16 non-small and 14 small cell lung cancer) and 15 patients with benign lung disease were included and followed up during the period from October 2008 to October 2011 with median follow-up of 1.5 years. High TPA was found in 50% of lung cancer cases compared to 26% in controls (p = 0.014). High TPA was found in 64% of cases showing PD versus 36% normal TPA (p = 0.08). 1 year PFS in high TPA was 32% versus 39% in normal TPA, (p = 0.2). 1 year OS in high TPA was 46% versus 73% in normal TPA (p = 0.6). Serum TPA is a potential marker for advanced lung cancer.

Cost Utility Analysis of Dapagliflozin in Egyptian Patients with CKD from the Payer Perspective

Background: Chronic kidney disease is a serious public health issue in Egypt. An estimated 13% of individuals in Egypt are expected to have CKD, with a higher prevalence among older adults and in rural regions. The primary goal of the study was to compare the cost-utility of the standard of care alone against add-on medication, dapagliflozin, as a preventative measure against complications of CKD in cases with or without diabetes mellitus. Methods: A lifetime Markov state transition model with a 3-month cycle was employed based on the clinical evidence from the DAPA-CKD clinical trial. The model was to provide estimates of the long-term economic and health impact of managing CKD patients. Cost-effectiveness is assessed regarding the cost per quality-adjusted life year (QALY) gained. This economic evaluation study used a payer perspective. Moreover, the study evaluated the impact on the budget due to the undertaking of dapagliflozin. One-way deterministic sensitivity analyses, as well as a probabilistic sensitivity analysis, were employed. Results: During a lifetime horizon, the difference in cost between dapagliflozin and SOC was EGP -65,212 (USD 2126.89). The difference in QALY between dapagliflozin and SOC was 4.3. In CKD patients, adding dapagliflozin to ramipril generates better QALYs and lower costs than ramipril alone. Dapagliflozin improved the outcomes and generated cost savings. A deterministic one was sensitivity analysis revealed that the model is robust to changes in all variables included. Probabilistic sensitivity analysis using Monte Carlo simulation with 10,000 iterations showed that in about 82.64% of trials, dapagliflozin is cost-saving. The undertaking of dapagliflozin by any percent will have a positive impact on the budget. Conclusion: During the lifetime horizon, dapagliflozin is cost-saving;it benefits the quality of life and the total cost. The addition of dapagliflozin to SOC has a saving effect of 11.9% of the budget.

This study aims to estimate the quantum Bogoliubov-Born-Green-Kirkwood-Yvon (BBGKY) hierarchy in curvilinear coordinates. We used the results to calculate the quantum binary and triplet distribution functions in curvilinear coordinates. The analytical form of the quantum distribution functions was obtained for dusty plasma in Saturn’s rings model. We use particles-in-cell (PIC) simulations to find a visualization of dusty three-component plasma phase space in curvilinear coordinates. Our results were compared with others.

In this paper, efficient one-dimensional (1-D) fast integer transform algorithms of the DCT matrix for the H.265 stan-dard is proposed. Based on the symmetric property of the integer transform matrix and the matrix operations, which denote the row/column permutations and the matrix decompositions, along with using the dyadic symmetry modification on the standard matrix, the efficient fast 1-D integer transform algorithms are developed. Therefore, the computational complexities of the proposed fast integer transform are smaller than those of the direct method. In addition to computational complexity reduction one of the proposed algorithms provides transformation quality improvement, while the other provides more computational complexity reduction while maintaining almost the same transformation quality. With lower complexity and better transformation quality, the first proposed fast algorithm is suitable to accelerate the quality-demanding video coding computations. On the other hand, with the significant lower complexity, the second proposed fast algorithm is suitable to accelerate the video coding computations.

In this paper, an attempt is made to discover the distributionof COVID-19 spread in different countries such as;Saudi Arabia, Italy,Argentina and Angola by specifying an optimal statistical distribution for analyzing the mortality rate of COVID-19. A new generalization of the recentlyinverted Topp Leone distribution, called Kumaraswamy inverted Topp–Leonedistribution, is proposed by combining the Kumaraswamy-G family and theinverted Topp–Leone distribution. We initially provide a linear representationof its density function. We give some of its structure properties, such as quantile function, median, moments, incomplete moments, Lorenz and Bonferronicurves, entropies measures and stress-strength reliability. Then, Bayesian andmaximum likelihood estimators for parameters of the Kumaraswamy invertedTopp–Leone distribution under Type-II censored sample are *** estimator is regarded using symmetric and asymmetric loss functions. As analytical solution is too hard, behaviours of estimates have beendone viz Monte Carlo simulation study and some reasonable comparisonshave been presented. The outcomes of the simulation study confirmed theefficiencies of obtained estimates as well as yielded the superiority of Bayesianestimate under adequate priors compared to the maximum likelihood *** to COVID-19 in some countries showed that the new distributionis more appropriate than some other competitive models.
