Cyanobacteria are photoautotrophic prokaryotes with a remarkable metabolic flexibility. Many species of cyanobacteria produce hydrogen, and the efficiency of this process can be improved by genetic engineering. Isolated photosynthetic complexes of cyanobacteria that are capable of light absorption and charge separation can be utilized in hydrogen-producing devices that are driven by solar energy. As photosynthetic microorganisms, cyanobacteria present a unique opportunity for creating low cost systems for hydrogen production in vivo and in vitro. This review is focused on recent advances in cyanobacterial hydrogen research.

Computer Simulation of Transition Regimes of Solitons in Stimulated Raman Scattering with Excitation of Polar Optical Phonons

The system of nonlinear equations modeling the process of nonstationary stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) in noncentrosymmetric crystals for the waves on laser, Stokes, polariton, and phonon frequencies is investigated by using the numerical methods. The general case for amplitudes of waves that resulted in doubling of the number of equations is considered. It is shown that the application of the methods of finite differences to the computer simulation of transition regimes is completely consistent with the analytical results found for the asymptotical solutions in form of solitons. The obtained results also indicate that the laser pulses of Gaussian shape appearing at the boundary of nonlinear medium tend to become solitons of Lorentzian shape. It was also found that the formation of solitons occurs when the vibrations of optical phonons and that of electromagnetic wave were either in or out of phase. It is shown that all electromagnetic waves entering the medium with different speeds become solitons having the same speed. In the second part of the paper we considered the computer simulation of soliton stability with respect to small (weak) perturbations of all interacting waves. In the present paper we considered the case of evolution of those disturbances in the vicinity of peaks of solitons. The numerical analysis showed that in wide range of parameters the solitons were stable.

We conduct research on the development of new medicines based on succinic acid, ascorbic acid and rutin. We studied the anti-inflammatory action （exudative inflammation, model of carrageenan-induced paw edema of rats）, the hepatoprotective （injury of rats with carbon tetrachloride） and renal protectie action. In the study, the anti-inflammatory activity of our medicines （exudative inflammation, karahenin model of inflammatory edema of paws rats） is set to ability of suppression of the inflammatory response by 24.4 %. Against the background, the action of carbon tetrachloride observed a positive effect on cholesterol- and pigment- forming liver function. Reducing the activity of enzymes ALT （alanine transaminase） and AST （aspartate transaminase） in groups of animals, which treated with our medication, talks about their ability to recover morpho functional integrity of the membranes of hepatocytes and warn of changes in the liver damage with carbon tetrachloride. Renal protective action screening study found that investigated mixture capable of increasingly lower level of creatinine in the blood of rats： 27.27-39.18 mmol/L in Lespeflan. Similarly, the concentration of urea in the smaller of the studied using mixtures is 5.18 mmol/L, while the application lespeflanu urea concentration slightly higher is 6.78 mmol/L. This shows that hypoazotemic effect is traced compared with the control group, and better than the comparator Lespeflan. Study of acute toxicity showed that the investigated mixture refers to practically nontoxic drugs. It is confirmed the need for further studies on the pharmacological activity of our facility to determine the effect on capillaries and the immune system, and as a result, prevention and treatment of influenza and ARI （acute respiratory infections）.

Optical Absorption of Nano-Composite Thin Films of Au in Teflon

Nano-composite films of Au particles in Teflon were obtained by thermal vacuum deposition. The obtained films were characterized by the different shapes and dimensions of the inclusion particles. Absorption spectra of the films were measured in-situ. A model for the calculation of the optical properties of the nano-composite thin films with an inho-mogeneous distribution of the inclusions along the thickness of the film is proposed. Absorption properties of inclusions were analyzed by considering the local field interaction. The calculated absorption profiles are compared with the experimentally obtained absorption profiles. This comparison gives a possibility to draw conclusions about the concentration, shapes and shape distributions of the inclusion particles. For example, the films obtained by duration deposition are characterized by inclusions having the shape of prolate ellipsoids oriented normally to surface of the film.

Glass-Reinforced Plastic Filled by Multiwall Carbon Nanotubes and Their Modified Forms

The effect of modifying the surface of multiwall carbon nanotubes (CNT’s) by oxygen and nitrogen on the strength characteristics of the fiberglass filled with them was investigated by testing for tension and bending. The method of obtaining nitrogen-containing nanostructures is developed. It was shown that in the epoxide system LR285-LH286 hydrophobic CNT’s (outgoing) at introducing into the catalyst polymerization of LH286, increase the strength with respect to unreinforced CNT’s by 48% - 54%. Oxidized CNT’s (200 A?h/kg) introduced into the resin LR285 increase the strength by 59%. The distribution of the filler particles in size, both in the epoxy resin and in the catalyst, depends on their concentration nonlinear, and correlates with the strength characteristics of the composite.

Protein kinases constitute a superfamily of therapeutic targets for a number of human and animal diseases that include more than 500 members accordingly to sequencing data of the human genome. The well characterized nature of protein kinases makes them excellent targets for drug development. Pharmacophore approaches have become one of the major tools in the area of drug discovery. Application of pharmacophore modeling approaches allows reducing of expensive overall cost associated with drug development project. Pharmacophore models are important functional groups of atoms in the proper spatial position for interaction with target protein. Various ligand-based and structurebased methods have been developed for pharmacophore model generation. Despite the successes in pharmacophore models generation these approaches have not reached their full capacity in application for drug discovery. In the following review, we summarize the published data on pharmacophore models for inhibitorsof tyrosine protein kinases(EGFR, HER2, VEGFR, JAK2, JAK3, Syk, ZAP-70, Tie2) and inhibitors of serine/threonine kinases(Clk, Dyrk, Chk1, IKK2, CDK1, CDK2, PLK, JNK3, GSK3, m TOR, p38 MAPK, PKB). Here, we have described the achievements of pharmacophore modeling for protein kinase inhibitors, which provide key points for further application of generated pharmacophore hypotheses in virtual screening, de novo design and lead optimization.

Aim:We aimed to further investigate the role of hepcortespenlisimut-L(Hepko-V5 or V5),a new oral immunotherapy developed by us,for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)***:The interim data from ongoing PhaseⅢplacebo-controlled,randomized trial were evaluated on the initial group of patients in advanced stage of HCC with emphasis on liver function and tumor marker alpha-fetoprotein ***,an in vitro study was undertaken to elucidate the mechanism of action of V5 by measuring with flow cytometry the expression of cytokines such as IL-2,INF-γ,and TNF-αand cell activation markers CD69 and Ki67 on CD4-and CD8-positive lymphocytes isolated from peripheral blood of healthy ***:As early as one month after treatment initiation,there was a clear improvement in alanine transaminase,aspartate transaminase,alkaline phosphatase,and bilirubin levels among HCC patients who received daily dose of V5,but not in the placebo ***,alpha-fetoprotein(AFP)levels among V5 recipients decreased,while in the ;placebo group they *** results are in line with in vitro observations indicating immune activation,as evidenced by many-fold enhancement of CD69,Ki67,and INF-γexpression and at the same time marked anti-inflammatory effect resulting in 10-fold decrease in TNF-αoutput and lack of influence on IL-2 ***:Hepcortespenlisimut-L,a tableted oral formulation derived from heat-inactivated pooled blood of patients with HCC and viral hepatitis shows beneficial clinical effect,as demonstrated by improvement in liver function and reduction of tumor marker AFP *** correlate with in vitro observations showing potent activation of the immune response and pronounced oral tolerance effect.

本文在介绍切尔诺贝利核事故受害者内脏器官病理发展共同特点的基础上,着重指出心血管系统病变在此人群发病率和死亡率中的主要地位;救援人员中缺血性心脏病发病率高于普通人群,且多见于受照剂量大于0·25Gy者;对此疾病,除了通用的治疗措施外,报告强调要修正公认的一些风险因素,如吸烟、饮食习惯和超体重等。指出救援人员中消化道溃疡病发病率高于普通人群,提示应采取针对性治疗措施。还指出受照者体内照射最大危险来自铯137,提出要服用“婓拉丁”含铁合剂来减少铯137在胃肠道吸收和促排;还介绍了一种以植物提取物为主剂的“植物志群”组方,促排效果明显。在此基础上,提出了对受害者通用的治疗原则。
