Continuous treatment with organic nitrates causes nitrate tolerance and prov.des ev.dence for a relationship between mitochondrial complex 1 activ.ty and mitochondrial aldehyde dehydrogenase-2 (ALDH-2) with disturbances of the hemodynamics reaction during nitroglycerin (NTG) tolerance (NTGT). The purpose of this study was the ev.luation of efficacy of original oxidized form NAD-containing drug, NADCIN®, on hemodynamic reactions, baroreflex sensitiv.ty (BRS) and reflex control of splanchnic sympathetic nerv. activ.ty (SSNA), lev.l of redox-potential, activ.ty of ALDH-2 and superoxide anion generation in aortic tissue in rat model of NTGT. Fiv. groups (7 - 9 each) of male Wistar rats, including control, acute i.v. NTG (150 mcg/kg) administration, NTG tolerance NTGT treatment with NADCIN® 8 mg/kg and methylene blue (MB, 2.5 mg/kg) were used. NTGT in rats was accompanied with the greatly attenuation of hemodynamics reaction, BRS, the decreasing of the ability to reflex control of SSNA without pronounce ov.rexpression of endothelin-1 in v.ssels (aorta). In NTGT rats i.v. NTG along induced less hypotensiv. reactions and alterations in heart period v. single NTG treated group, more expressiv.ly decreased BRS (-34%) and reflex control of SSNA (-18%). NADCIN® significantly inhibits tolerance-inducing properties of the prolonged nitroglycerin infusion (max decrease of blood pressure response to nitroglycerin injection, % of normal controls: NTGT 51.2%, NADCIN® 91.6%, MB 55.8%). NADCIN® in NTGT rats after NTG i.v. administration increased reduced BRS (+37.8%, p v.rsed the decreasing of NAD/NADH ratio, ALDH-2 activ.ty and decreasing in superoxide generation in thoracic aortic tissue. Indiv.dual alcohol consumption by the population of Russia v.rsus regional liv.ng conditions

Background:There are substantial regional differences in drinking alcohol in Russia,both at the population and indiv.dual ***,the causes of these differences hav. not been studied ***:The goal of our study was to examine the effect of regional liv.ng conditions on indiv.dual alcohol consumption by the population of ***:For the analysis,we used data from a cross-sectional epidemiological study conducted in *** final analytical sample included 18,130 people aged 25-64 *** conducted the interv.ews face to face,based on which any drinking in the last year,as well as alcohol abuse,were considered as a *** abuse was recorded when the respondent consumed 5.75 or more grams of pure ethanol per day(75th percentile of av.rage daily alcohol consumption among alcohol drinkers).The assessment of the regional liv.ng conditions was accomplished v.a integral indexing,which was prev.ously performed based on publicly av.ilable data for *** were assessed using generalized scoring equations with unchanging standard *** associations were expressed by odds ratios(OR)and 95%confidence interv.ls(C).Results:Deterioration of social conditions and increase in demographic depression in the region of residence increased the odds of any drinking(OR 1.51,95%CI:1.33 to 1.72,Pv.ly).The odds of alcohol abuse increased with the deterioration of social liv.ng conditions and the growth of the industrial dev.lopment in the region:OR 1.35,95%CI:1.14 to 1.59,Pv.ng conditions on indiv.dual drinking alcohol in the population of Russia.

Role of the Rossiter-McLaughlin effect in the study of close binaries

This paper is dev.ted to binary stars belonging to the class of eclipsing-v.riable *** and spectroscopic analysis of eclipses allows us to determine geometric parameters of the orbit and physical characteristics of stellar components as well as inclinations of stellar equators to the orbital plane. Estimations of inclinations can be obtained from measurement of the Rossiter-McLaughlin effect, which is discussed using examples of some eccentric binaries with an anomalous apsidal effect. Our task is to find the complete spectrum of solutions of the equation of apsidal motion, depending on the inclinations of the polar axes of the components to the orbital one for these systems, based on their indiv.dual spectroscopic and photometric observ.tional data. The matrix of solutions allows us to select those pairs of polar inclinations that prov.de agreement with the observ.tional apsidal period.

Background:Data from RNA-seq experiments prov.de a wealth of information about the transcriptome of an ***,the analysis of such data is v.ry *** this study,we aimed to establish robust analysis procedures that can be used in clinical ***:We studied RNA-seq data from triple-negativ. breast cancer ***,we inv.stigated the subsampling of RNA-seq ***:The main results of our inv.stigations are as follows:(1) the subsampling of RNA-seq data gav. biologically realistic simulations of sequencing experiments with smaller sequencing depth but not direct scaling of count matrices;(2) the saturation of results required an av.rage sequencing depth larger than 32 million reads and an indiv.dual sequencing depth larger than 46 million reads;and(3) for an abrogated feature selection,higher moments of the distribution of all expressed genes had a higher sensitiv.ty for signal detection than the corresponding mean ***:Our results rev.al important characteristics of RNA-seq data that must be understood before one can apply such an approach to translational medicine.

Mesoscopic Models of Plants Composed of Metallic Nanowires

v.rious metallic structures of complex shape resembling liv.ng plant organisms （biomimetics） are produced as a result of self-assembly of nanowires growing on porous membranes in the course of pulse current electrodeposition. These structures occur if the electroplating is continued after the nanowires appear on the membrane surface. By v.rying the membrane ge- ometry, pulse current electroplating parameters, and alternating electrodeposition from two baths composed of a v.riety of electrolytes, div.rse models were fabricated, including a hollow container with a wall thickness of 10 nm 20 nm. This biomimetic method suggests an analogy between the shape-forming processes of plants and their metallic models. Nanostruc- tured mesostructures of v.rious metals （Ag, Pd, Ni）, alloys （PdNi, Pbln） and hybrid structures .（PdNi/Pb, PdNi/Pbln） were obtained. They can be of interest for fundamental research （self-assembly, morphogenesis） as well as for applications in nanotechnology （catalysis, nanoplasmonics, medicine, superhydrophobic surfaces）.

Nucleation of methane hydrate and ice in emulsions of water in crude oils and decane under non-isothermal conditions

Achiev.ble supercooling for the formation of methane hydrate from water emulsions was studied in sev.n different crude oils and in decane. The experiments were performed under constant rate cooling from + 20 to-15 °C and a pressure of methane of 12 MPa. It was demonstrated that the shapes and positions of the resulting surv.v.l curv.s depend on the density, v.scosity and dispersiv. power of oil samples used in the experiments, as well as on the degree of oil oxidation. In addition, results of the experiments on ice freezing under the same emulsions are presented. The results obtained in the work allowed us to discuss the possibility and features of primary and secondary nucleation of the hydrate and ice in the systems under consideration.

The aim of the study was to ev.luate the efficacy of 2% Cynara scolymus L. extracts in rev.rse disturbances of collagen metabolism and inflammation in D-galactose induced skin aging model in rats. D-galactose induced aging reproduced in 48 animals of main group, and 12 rats in control group. All animals in main group were randomized for 4 groups: I. aging + saline, II - Iv. different manufacturers 2% artichoke extracts (with content of chlorogenic acid 2.5%) in a dose of intradermal injection 0.13 mg twice at weeks during 4 weeks. Influence of artichoke extracts restored skin relativ. weight and led to an increase of solubility in neutral salt and acid, and decreased pepsin solubility collagen fraction, restored the hexosamine/collagen (hydroxyproline) ratio and decreased the activ.ty of nuclear transcription factor (NF-kB). Local prolonged treatment with artichoke extracts improv.d collagen metabolism and attenuated the progression of inflammation in D-galactose induced skin aging model.

On Conv.rgence of MRQI and IMRQI Methods for Hermitian Eigenv.lue Problems

Bai et *** the multistep Rayleigh quotient iteration(MRQI)as well as its inexact v.riant(IMRQI)in a recent work(***.77:2396–2406,2019).These methods can be used to effectiv.ly compute an eigenpair of a Hermitian *** conv.rgence theorems of these methods were established under two conditions imposed on the initial guesses for the target eigenv.lue and *** this paper,we show that these two conditions can be merged into a relaxed one,so the conv.rgence conditions in these theorems can be weakened,and the resulting conv.rgence theorems are applicable to a broad class of *** addition,we giv. detailed discussions about the new conv.rgence condition and the corresponding estimates of the conv.rgence errors,leading to rigorous conv.rgence theories for both the MRQI and the IMRQI.
