Salicylic acid (SA) is one of numerous phenolic compounds found in plants with numerous important physiological events. Exogenously application of Salicylic acid (SA) is useful for the growth and development of plants. This investigation aimed to study the improving effect of salicylic acid on the tissue culture of Ziziphus spina-christi. To study its improving effect were used shoot-tip explants cultured on Murashige and Skoog (MS) solid medium supplemented with different concentrations and various combinations of auxins, cytokinins and Salicylic acid. Media without growth regulators enhanced the growth and elongation of shoot-tip explants not its proliferation. lower concentrations of cytokinin were better for shoot-tip proliferation than higher ones. 6-Benzylaminopurine (BAP) was superior to kinetin (KN) in shoot-tip proliferation. The optimum culture conditions for shoot-tip proliferation were achieved on MS medium supplemented with 0.25 mg/l 6-Benzylaminopurine (BAP) and 25 mg/l Salicylic acid (SA). The optimum culture conditions for callus formation were obtained on MS medium supplemented with 3 mg/l 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) and 25 mg/l Salicylic acid (SA), while the optimum culture conditions for somatic callus formation were obtained on MS medium supplemented with 2.0 mg/l 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) and 10 mg/l Salicylic acid (SA). The optimum culture conditions for rooting of shoots were obtained on MS medium supplemented with 0.25 mg/l of Indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) and 10 mg/l Salicylic acid (SA). The highest percentage of survival plants was obtained in the soil mixture supplied with 10 mg/l Salicylic acid (SA). Salicylic acid (SA) showed positive effect and good response on callusing, shooting and rooting of Z. spina-christi. Cultures received small amounts of salicylic acid were better than those lack it.

This paper describes the detailed anatomy and micromorphology of the vegetative parts of Piper sarmentosum Roxb. (synonym, P. lolot ***.), which is a southeast Asian medicinal plant valued for its medicinal and culinary uses. The study also compares the anatomy of the leaf, petiole, stem and root of P. sarmentosum with those of the well-characterized P. betle l. The leaves of both the species are morphologically comparable and have similar culinary uses. The present study showed that the leaves of both the species possess more or less comparable anatomical features with a few differences;whereas, the microscopic features of the petiole, stem, and root of the two species are distinctive.

Objective To assess the efficacy of adding Gn-releasing hormone antagonist（GnR HA） on the day of hC G triggering in a long luteal protocol without withholding the agonist in women who are at a risk to develop ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome（OHSS）.Methods This was a retrospective cohort study conducted upon 50 women who have elevated serum estradiol（E2） level 〉4 500 ng/l at the day of ovum triggering with hC G on a long agonist luteal protocol of controlled ovarian stimulation（COS）. When an exaggerated ovarian response was observed around day 10 of stimulation, immediately the next morning at 6 a.m. gonadotropin administration was stopped or reduced, and a single dose of ganirelix acetate（antagonist） was given sc continuation of the agonist dose hC G. Another serum E2 measurement was done at 6 p.m.（after 12 h of antagonist） then hC G, sc 250 mg and choriogonadotropin α were administered 14 h later after antagonist and documented the reduction of E2 level. Oocyte retrieval was conducted after 34-36 h of hC G administration. The measured outcomes were the level of E2 on the day of hC G injection, number of oocytes and their quality, pregnancy rate and the occurrence of OHSS and its grade in case it *** The total dose for recombinant FSH was 25.3±6.4 ampoules（75 IU/ampoule） while it was 11.0±3.0 ampoules for the urinary hM G. A higher oocyte maturation rate（82.8%） and a high fertilization rate（87.8%） were observed. The mean endometrial thickness was 10.1±1.0 mm on the day of hC G triggering. The higher fertilization rate with the good endometrial thickness observed resulting in a higher pregnancy rate（78.0%, 39/50） with statistically significant（P〈0.05）. A significant reduction of E2 level was documented by a percentage around 40% before hC Ginjection. There were no reported cases of severe or moderate OHSS, however 13 cases（26%） were reported to have mild OHSS *** Acceleration of coasting in cases of OHSS through treatment with GnR HA

The interest of Western medicine in Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) as a source of drug leads/new drugs to treat diseases without available efficient therapies has been dramatically augmented in the last decades by the extensive work and the outstanding findings achieved within this kind of medicine. The practice of TCM over thousands of years has equipped scientists with substantial experience with hundreds of plants that led to the discovery of artemisinin(qinghaosu), which is extracted from the medicinal plant Artemisia annua l.(qinghao). The unexpected success of artemisinin in combating malaria has drawn strong attention from the scientific community towards TCM. Artemisinin was discovered by Youyou Tu in 1972. Since then, several novel pharmacological activities based on the well-known properties of the sesquiterpene lactone structure with the oxepane ring and an endoperoxide bridge have been unravelled. Beyond malaria, artemisinin and its derivatives(artemisinins) exert profound activities towards other protozoans(leishmania, Trypanosoma, amoebas, Neospora caninum, and Eimeria tenella), trematodes(Schistosoma, liver flukes), and viruses(human cytomegalovirus, hepatitis B and C viruses). less clear is the effect against bacteria and fungi. Based on the promising results of artemisinin and the first generation derivatives(artesunate, artemether, arteether), novel drug development strategies have been *** included the synthesis of acetal-and non-acetal-type artemisinin dimeric molecules as well as developing nanotechnological approaches, ***-based liposomes, niosomes, micelles, solid lipid nanocarriers, nanostructured lipid carriers, nanoparticles, fullerenes and nanotubes. Purpose: To compare outcomes of microincision cataract surgery (MICS) with coaxial phacoemulsification. Design: Prospective randomized consecutive case series. Participants: One hundred eyes of 50 patients with nuclear or corticonuclear cataract (grades 2+to 4) with lens Opacities Classification System III. Methods: One hundred eyes (50 patients) were randomly operated through clear corneal incisions using 2 techniques: coaxial phacoemulsification (50 eyes) and microincision cataract surgery (50 eyes). Main Outcome Measures: Mean phacoemulsification time, total phacoemulsification percent, effective phacoemulsification time (EPT) (calculated by multiplying total phacoemulsification time in seconds by the average power percent used), intraoperative total balanced salt solution (BSS) volume, visual outcome, vectorial astigmatic changes, corneal thickness, endothelial cell count, and anterior chamber flare and cells preoperatively and at 1 day, 1 month, and 3months. Results: Statistically significant differences were found between MICS and coaxial phacoemulsification regarding mean incision size, mean total phacoemulsification percent, and EPT. There were no significant differences between the techniques regarding the mean percent of endothelial cell loss, anterior chamber cell count and flare, mean phacoemulsification time, pachymetric measures or total BSS volume utilized, or visual outcome. The vectorial astigmatic changes in the MICS group showed a change of ≤0.25 diopters (D) in 35%of the eyes, 0.25 to 0.5 D in 50%of the eyes, and 0.5 to 1.0 D in 15%of the eyes. These changes were induced by the surgery. Vectorial astigmatic changes of >1 D were not observed. In the coaxial phacoemulsification group, vectorial astigmatic changes of 1.0 D. Mean vectorial astigmatic changes were 0.36±0.23
