Two different models for the evolution of incompressible binary fluid mixtures in a three-dimensional bounded domain are *** consist of the 3D incompressible Navier-Stokes equations,subject to time-dependent external forces and coupled with either a convective Allen-Cahn or Cahn-Hilliard *** systems can be viewed as generalizations of the Navier-Stokes equations to two-phase *** the trajectory approach,the authors prove the existence of the trajectory attractor for both systems.

In this study,platinum(Pt)-polyaniline(PANI)/MWNTs catalysts were synthesized by two sequential ***,coreshell structural PANI/MWNTs composites were fabricated by in-situ chemical oxidation polymerization,in which MWNTs act as the core and PANI as the ***,Pt particles were deposited on the PANI/MWNTs composites by a chemical reduction *** morphology and constitution of the products were characterized by FT IR,scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy and *** was observed that the Pt particles were smaller in size and more uniformly distributed on these composite supports than those on the reference,pure MWNT *** results showed higher Pt(111) content in the catalyst deposited on PANI/MWNTs supports than that on *** cyclic voltammeter(CV) tests demonstrated that the electrode modified by Pt-PANI/MWNTs ternary composite catalyst showed a higher catalytic stability than Pt-MWNT binary catalyst did,due to the synergic interaction between Pt and the composite support.

Short-term traffic forecasting is a key element in proactive traffic management,e.g.,mitigating the negative effect of impending congestion through appropriate capacity allocation at signalized *** this study,we develop a data-driven methodology for reliably and robustly predicting impending stable *** incorporating feature engineering techniques into an iterative machine learning process,we develop a prediction model that can be intuitively understood by traffic experts and is amenable to diagnostics during *** iterative machine learning process combines the embedded and filter approaches for feature selection with the use of expert knowledge to create aggregative input *** embedded approach is represented by application of a decision tree algorithm,while the filter approach is reflected in use of the mean decrease in accuracy output of a random forest algorithm for identifying expressive *** tested the methodology by applying it to field data from a sub-network in Tel *** demonstrated a reduction in the number of decision tree input variables from 66 raw variables to the five most effective aggregative ones,while achieving statistically significant improvement in all performance *** identification rate of stable congestion increased from 65%to 74%while the robustness of the results was enhanced:the standard deviations of the identification and false alarm rates fell from 8%to 3%,respectively,to 5%and 2%.

Intracellular signals mediated by the family of receptor tyrosine kinases play pivotal roles in morphogenesis, cell fate determination and pathogenesis. Precise control of signal amplitude and duration is critical for the fidelity and robustness of these processes. Activation of receptor tyrosine kinases by their cognate growth factors not only leads to propagation of the signal through various biochemical cascades, but also sets in motion multiple attenuation mechanisms that ulti- mately terminate the active state. Early attenua.o.s pre-exist prior to receptor activation and they act to limit signal propagation. Subsequently, late attenua.o.s, such as Lrig and Sprouty, are transcriptionally induced and further act to dampen the signal. Central to the process of signaling attenuation is the role of the E3 ubiquitin ligase c-Cbl. While Cbl- mediated processes of receptor ubiquitylation and endocytosis are relatively well understood, the links of Cbl to other negative regula.o.s are just now beginning to be appreciated. Here we review some emerging interfaces between Cbl and the transcriptionally induced negative regula.o.s Lrig and Sprouty.

Benzene is a carcinogenic air pollutant for which European legislation has set an annual limit and criteria for the number of fixed monitoring sites within air quality networks(AQMN).However,due to the limited number of fixed sites for benzene measurement,exposure data are *** the relationship between benzene levels and other variables monitored within an AQMN,such as No_(2),o_(3),temperature,solar radiation,and accumulated precipitation,this study proposes an approach for estimating benzene air concentrations from the related *** the data.o. the a.o.ementioned variables from23 fixed stations during 2016-2017,the proposed approach was able to forecast benzene concentration for 2018 with high confidence,providing enriched data.o. benzene exposure and its ***,the spatial distribution of the estimated versus the most representative benzene levels was quite ***,an artificial neural network identified the most representative fixed benzene monitoring sites within the AQMN.

Although cysticercosis caused by Taenia solium(T. solium) is considered a neglected disease, its life cycle has been well known for more than two centuries. T. solium not only causes cysticercosis but also taeniasis in humans. These two diseases have totally different infection routes. To acquire taeniasis(the presence of the adult stage of T. solium in the intestine), humans have to ingest the larval stage(cysticercus) that infects a variety of organs and viscera in pigs, its intermediate hosts. Therefore, taeniasis is acquired when eating raw or undercooked infected pork. The adult stage in the human intestine release eggs that contain a hexacanth embryo, the oncosphere. If humans accidentally ingest the eggs of T. solium, the released oncospheres penetrate the intestine and become cysticerci. Therefore, cysticercosis is acquired by the ingestion of eggs that contaminate water, vegetables, hands etc. These facts should not be forgotten to a.o.d misinformation in scientific publications.

The sequestosome 1/p62 protein has been implicated in the regulation of a multitude of cellular processes such as NF-κB signaling, NRF2-driven oxidative stress response, protein turnover through the ubiquitin-protea.o.e pathway and the autopha.o.ome/lysosome pathway, a.o.tosis and cellular meta.o.ism. The domain structure of p62 also reflects this functional complexity since the protein appears to be a mosaic of protein interaction domains and motifs. Deregulation of the level and function of p62 and/or p62 mutations have been linked to a number of human diseases including Paget＇s disease of the bone, obesity, liver diseases, tumorigenesis and neurodegenerative diseases such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and Alzheimer＇s disease. In this article, we review the current understanding of the involvement of p62 in cellular processes under physiologic and pathological conditions.

The pathogenesis of inflamma.o.y bowel disease （IBD） is only partially understood. Various environmental and host （e.g. genetic-, epithelial-, immune and nonimmune） factors are involved. It is a multifactorial polygenic disease with probable genetic heterogeneity. Some genes are associated with IBD itself, while others increase the risk of ulcerative colitis （UC） or Crohn＇ s disease （CD） or are associated with disease location and/or behaviour. This review addresses recent advances in the genetics of IBD. The article discusses the current information on the crosstalk between microbial and genetic factors （e.g. NoD2/CARD15, SLC22A46A5 and DLG5）. The genetic data acquired in recent years help in understanding the pathogenesis of IBD and can identify a number of potential targets for therapeutic intervention. In the future, genetics may help more accurately diagnose and predict disease course in IBD.
