The Yellow Spot Pattern of Salamander (Salamandra infraimmaculata) in Various Habitats at the Southern Border of Its Distribution in Israel

The present study describes the different color-pattern phenotypes of yellow spots on the black back of Salamandra infraimmaculata in various habitats at the southern border of its distribution in Israel. At Tel Dan, we photographed 454 salamanders in moist habitats where water flows year round;100 of these were sampled to measure the percentage of yellow and black color on the back, and the number of spots on the head. At Kibbutz Sasa, 201 salamanders were photographed, of which 62 were sampled for the measurements. In Kibbutz Yehiam, 200 salamanders were photographed, and 60 were sampled for the measurements. At all sites, about a third of the salamanders were photographed more than once. For all three populations, yellow spots on the salamander back were found in one row, two rows or scattered. For two indices (proportion of yellow/black and number of spots on the head), the Dan population (under wet, running water all year round conditions) differed from the two other populations of salamanders (under semi-arid mountain conditions). The number of yellow spots on the head of the salamanders in the three populations varied from 1 to 7. In all populations, 4 spots pattern was the most common. In the Dan population, there were significantly more salamanders with 1 to 3 spots on their head than in the Sasa or Yehiam populations. No difference was found in the number of head spots for Sasa vs. Yehiam salamanders. The percentage of yellow on the black back was significantly larger for the Dan salamanders vs. the two other populations. The main question examined was whether there is an effect of the habitat conditions in isolated populations on the spot pattern on the salamander back. The answer is positive and is supported by previous studies.

Differences in Ecological and Genetic Adaptations between Salamandra infraimmaculata and Ommatotriton vittatus

Israel is home to two species of amphibians belonging to distinct genera: Salamandra and Ommatotriton. They inhabit various regions, sometimes coexisting and in other instances dwelling separately across different areas, making their segregation challenging. This study compares the biological, ecological, and genetic traits of two species, the Near Eastern fire salamander Salamandra infraimmaculata and the southern banded newt Ommatotriton vittatus, to determine why O. vittatus thrives in a wider range of semi-arid habitats in central and southern Israel, whereas S. infraimmaculata predominantly occupies the coastal Mediterranean region in the north. Salamander larvae are typically found in streams, freshwater springs, and cave pools, whereas newt larvae inhabit winter pools and ponds exclusively. The developmental phase of salamander tadpoles extends over several months, whereas newt tadpoles spend a comparatively brief period in the water, from 1 to a few months. Notably, genetic disparities in the cytochrome b sequence in Israeli populations are more pronounced among newts than salamanders.

每个社区都是城市的片段,社区生活氛围也需要通过一定的城市性获得,孤岛式的住宅虽能居住但往往无法被认为真正的宜居。作为浙江省未来社区首批试点项目,政策上的支持为设计变革和居住本源上的创新带来机会。我们在设计中摒弃一切让社区孤立的手段,安置房分为南北两个组团,组团之间的景观通廊向城市开放,联通了东侧的双水公园及西侧的景观步行轴;基于48m限高条件下2.33的超高容积率要求,安置房采用半围合的布局形成安定、内向的院落空间,沿西侧景观轴及东侧双水公园设置若干具有标识性的门洞,采用开放式社区的方式与周边进行衔接,东侧双水公园的自然景观渗透到庭院内部,整体营造出“居住在公园中”的独特体验。

郡安里一期A住区规划项目选址于莫干山长林坞湖畔,此地山林茂密、水草丰美。当人类大规模开发不可避免地浸入到自然环境时,我们总是希望尽可能地保护这片青山绿水。本项目采用了三个层面的策略:在规划层面,采用点状用地群簇状布局将组团依山就势地嵌入茂密植被,避免过高密度对环境的破坏;在建筑层面,采用钢结构吊脚楼原型,减少落地截面,保留原生场地和植被;在营造方面,采用装配式、人工挖孔桩等措施,减少现场湿作业、减少机械操作和堆料场地,并且对重要树木进行原址保护或移植,以期减少环境扰动,实现水土保持和植被保护。

Moringa oleifera is well known as a highly nutritious plant and a water purifier in fish *** fish has many impressive qualities making them very suitable for ***,this study aimed to evaluate the effect of supplementation of Moringa oleifera aqueous extract(MOAE)at varying concentrations(0,100,200,and 400 mg/kg diet for 90 days)on growth performance,hematological,and some biochemical parameters of Nile ***,histological changes and immunohistochemical expression of caspase 3 in gills and livers were *** enhancements(Pish fed 200 mg MOAE/kg diet compared with other ***,a significant reduction(Pish fed 400 mg MOAE/kg diet revealed disturbance in the corresponding *** histological degenerative changes were detected in the gills and liver of fish fed 400 mg MOAE/kg *** comparison,fish fed 200 mg MOAE/kg diet showed the best histo-architectures of these organs compared with other *** immune expressions of caspase 3 were determined where gills and liver of fish fed 400 mg MOAE/kg diet revealed extensive number of positive caspase 3 cells indicating severe apoptotic ***,a dietary MOAE at 200 mg/kg diet is recommended to improve the growth performance,hematological parameters,liver and kidney functions in Nile ***,caution must be considered when using MOAE at a concentration over 200 mg/kg diet.

DLBT:Deep Learning-Based Transformer to Generate Pseudo-Code from Source Code

Understanding the content of the source code and its regular expression is very difficult when they are written in an unfamiliar ***-code explains and describes the content of the code without using syntax or programming language ***,writing Pseudo-code to each code instruction is ***,neural machine translation is used to generate textual descriptions for the source *** this paper,a novel deep learning-based transformer(DLBT)model is proposed for automatic Pseudo-code generation from the source *** proposed model uses deep learning which is based on Neural Machine Translation(NMT)to work as a language *** DLBT is based on the transformer which is an encoder-decoder *** are three major components:tokenizer and embeddings,transformer,and *** code line is tokenized to dense *** transformer captures the relatedness between the source code and the matching Pseudo-code without the need of Recurrent Neural Network(RNN).At the post-processing step,the generated Pseudo-code is *** proposed model is assessed using a real Python dataset,which contains more than 18,800 lines of a source code written in *** experiments show promising performance results compared with other machine translation methods such as Recurrent Neural Network(RNN).The proposed DLBT records 47.32,68.49 accuracy and BLEU performance measures,respectively.

Small-extracellular vesicles and their microRNA cargo from porcine follicular fluids:the potential association with oocyte quality

Background: Ovarian follicular fluids(FFs) contain several kinds of regulatory factors that maintain a suitable micro-environment for oocyte development. Extracellular vesicles(EVs) are among the factors that play essential roles in regulating follicle and oocyte development through their cargo molecules that include microRNAs(miRNAs). This study aimed to investigate small-EV(s-EV) miRNAs in porcine FFs and their potential association with oocyte ***: Individual aspirated oocytes were stained with lissamine green B stain(LB), a vital stain for oocyte quality, and each oocyte was classified as high-quality(unstained;HQ) or low-quality(stained;LQ). FFs corresponding to oocytes were pooled together into HQ and LQ groups. Small-EVs were isolated from FFs, characterized, and their miRNA cargo was identified using the Illumina Nova Seq sequencing platform. Additionally, s-EVs from the HQ and LQ groups were utilized to investigate their effect on oocyte development after co-incubation during in vitro ***: A total of 19 miRNAs(including miR-125b, miR-193a-5p, and miR-320) were significantly upregulated, while 23(including miR-9, miR-206, and miR-6516) were downregulated in the HQ compared to the LQ group. Apoptosis, p53 signaling, and camP signaling were among the top pathways targeted by the elevated miRNAs in the HQ group while oocyte meiosis, gap junction, and TGF-beta signaling were among the top pathways targeted by the elevated miRNAs in the LQ group. The supplementation of small-EVs during maturation does not affect the oocyte developmental rates. However, LQ s-EVs increase the proportion of oocytes with homogeneous mitochondrial distribution and decrease the proportion of heterogeneous ***: Our findings indicated that FF-EVs contain different miRNA cargos associated with oocyte quality and could affect the mitochondrial distribution patterns during oocyte maturation.

Impact of different nano additives on performance, combustion, emissions and exergetic analysis of a diesel engine using waste cooking oil biodiesel

Biodiesel is derived from waste cooking oil (WCO) by transesterification. Methylester was prepared by mixing diesel and biodiesel oils as 20% by volume. Nano particles asTiO2, Al2O3 and CNTs were blended with biodiesel blend at different concentrations of 25,50, and 100 mg/l to enhance the physicochemical fuel characteristics to obtain clean and effi-cient combustion performance. An experimental setup was incorporated into a diesel engine toinvestigate the influence of these nano-materials on engine performance, exergy analysis, combustion characteristics and emissions using WCO biodiesel-diesel mixture. Enriching methylester mixture with 100 ppm titanium, alumina and CNTs (B20T100, B20A100 andB20C100) increased the thermal efficiency by 4%, 6% and 11.5%, respectively compared toB20. Biodiesel blending with nano additives B20T100, B20A100 and B20C100 decreasedthe emissions of CO (11%, 24% and 30%, respectively), HC (8%, 17% and 25%, respectively)and smoke (10%, 13% and 19%, respectively) compared to B20. However, the noticeable increase of NOx was estimated by 5%, 12% and 27% for B20T100, B20A100 and B20C100,respectively. Finally, the results showed the rise in peak cylinder pressure by 5%, 9% and 11% and increase in heat release rate by 4%, 8% and 13% for B20T100, B20A100 andB20C100, respectively. The fuel exergy of B20T100, B20A100 and B20C100 are lower thanbiodiesel blend B20 by 6.5%, 16% and 23% but the exergetic efficiency are increased by 7%,19% and 30% at full load about B20.

Performance,emissions and exergy analyses of adding CNTs to various biodiesel feedstocks

Extraction of biodiesel from waste cooking oil,jatropha,and corn oils is done by *** and biodiesel were blended at 20%volume ratio to make methyl *** doses of 25,50,and 100 mg/l,carbon nanotubes(CNTs)was mixed with biodiesel *** objective of the present research is to examine experimentally a diesel engine performance,combustion characteristics,exergy and emissions analyses with inclusion of nano additive to various methyl ester *** ester blend is enriched with CNTs as JB20C100,WB20C100 and CB20C100 where the improvements in thermal efficiency are raised about biodiesel mixture by 9%,13%and 15%,*** of 100 ppm of CNTs to biodiesel blends achieves the greatest reductions in CO(14%,22%and 30%),HC(16%,20%and 25%),and smoke emissions(15%,19%and 23%)for JB20C100,WB20C100 and CB20C100,*** comparing with B20,blending 100 ppm CNTs with JB20,CB20,and WB20 obtained the highest increases in cylinder pressure of 3%,5%,and 10%,as well as the highest increases in heat release of 4%,7%,and 11%,*** downside of CNTs addition achieves a rise in NOx emissions by 10%,17%,and 22%for JB20C100,WB20C100,and CB20C100,*** efficiency increases by 8%,19%,and 24%for B20T100,B20A100,and B20C100,*** index improvements achieve 1.5%,5%and 6.5%,for B20T100,B20A100,and B20C100,***20 with CNTs of 100 ppm is highly recommended for improving engine performance,combustion,and exergy characteristics with considerable emissions reduction.
