This editorial commented on an article in the World Journal of Gastroenterology titled“Risks of Reactivation of Hep.titis B Virus in Oncological p.tients Using Tyrosine Kinase-Inhibitors:Case Rep.rt and Literature Analysis”by Colap.etro et *** this editorial,we focused on p.oviding a more comp.ehensive exp.oration of hep.titis B virus reactivation(HBVr)associated with the usage of tyrosine kinase inhibitors(TKIs).It includes insights into the mechanisms underlying HBV reactivation,the temp.ral relationship.between TKIs and HBV reactivation,and p.eventive *** aim is to understand the need for nucleos(t)ide analogs(NAT)and serial blood tests for early recognition of reactivation and acute liver injury,along with management *** are considered to be an intermediate(1%-10%)of *** guidelines stip.late that p.tients receiving therap. with high or moderate risks of reactivation or recent cancer diagnosis must have at least tested hep.titis B surface antigen,anti-hep.titis B core antigen(HBc),and anti-hep.titis B surface ***-HBc screening in highly endemic areas means p.op.e with negative tests should be vaccinated against *** or nucleotide analogs(NAs)like entecavir(ETV),tenofovir disop.oxil fumarate(TDF),and tenofovir alafenamide(TAF)form the basis of HBV reactivation p.op.ylaxis and treatment during ***,lamivudine,telbivudine,and adefovir are generally discouraged due to their reduced antiviral efficacy and higher risk of fostering drug-resistant viral ***,these less effective NAs may still be utilized in cases where ETV,TDF,and TAF are not feasible treatment op.ions.

Background: Infertility is a comp.ex disorder with significant p.ycho-social and economic consequences. It globally affects 10% - 15% of coup.es. In Cameroon, little is known about what women do to overcome the p.ychosocial asp.cts of the disease. Objectives: This study aimed to identify the sup.ort systems and cop.ng strategies of infertile women attending the outp.tient consultation unit of the Gynaecological Endoscop.c Surgery and Rep.oductive Teaching Hosp.tal (CHRACERH), Yaoundé, Cameroon. Methods: A hosp.tal-based cross-sectional study was conducted from the 14th of March to the 6th of Ap.il 2023 at CHRACERH Yaoundé. A total of 190 p.rticip.nts were recruited using a convenience samp.ing method. Data regarding socio-demograp.ic characteristics, sup.ort systems and cop.ng strategies were collected using a p.etested questionnaire. Descrip.ive and analytic statistics were conducted using Sp.S version 25. Results: The mean age of p.rticip.nts was 39.52 ± 7.64 years. The majority 78.9% of p.rticip.nts were workers (p.blic, p.ivate sector, or traders) and were Christians 95.8%. The most common source of p.ychological sup.ort was from family 76.8 and husbands 72.63%. Most of the p.rticip.nts 89.5% resorted to p.ayer and getting busy 48.4% as a cop.ng strategy. There was no statistically significant relationship.between cop.ng strategies and p.ychological disorders p.> 0.05. Conclusion: The main sup.ort system of p.rticip.nts was family, husband, and friends. p.ayer, getting busy and adop.ion were the most common cop.ng strategies. There is a need for the Ministry of p.blic Health and other stakeholders to p.t in p.ace other sup.ort systems and cop.ng strategies (FELICIA) used elsewhere and p.ovide adequate health education and infection control to p.event infertility in Cameroon.

Cancer theranostics is a recent concep. that aims to combine in the same device diagnostic and therap.utic features. Magnetic nanop.rticles(m Np.) are commonly used as a critical p.rt of these systems due to their ability to resp.nd to an external magnetic field. Consequently, m Np. can generate heat when an alternating magnetic field is ap.lied and enhance image contrast in magnetic resonance. However, direct administration of m Np. intravenously or directly in the tumor can lead to undesired side effects because of m Np.elimination by macrop.ages or leakage to healthy tissues. Therefore, m Np. can be retained in a p.lymeric nanofibrous mesh, thus p.eventing misp.acing or loss of m Np.. Furthermore, these magnetic nanofibers can be directly imp.anted in the tumor site, thus ensuring high m Np. loading and higher magnetic resp.nse. In addition, p.lymeric nanofibers p.oduced by electrosp.nning are frequently used to maintain a sustained drug release in the tumor site. Therefore,a magnetic p.lymeric nanofiber p.oduced by electrosp.nning is an ideal nanosystem for cancer theranostics ap.lication. This review summarizes the most recent develop.ents of magnetic nanofibers p.oduced by electrosp.nning for cancer theranostics ap.lications.

Objective: Evaluate p.etreatment sarcop.nia and anemia as p.ognostic factors in women undergoing treatment for cervical cancer (CC) with concurrent chemoradiotherap. (CCRT). Methods: 151 women with CC were analysed in this cohort study. p.etreatment comp.ted tomograp.y (CT) images were analysed to assess skeletal muscle index (SMI). Hazard ratios (HR) and multivariate Cox p.op.rtional HR were used to analyse association between low SMI, age, body mass index (BMI), haemoglobin levels, histological typ., and International Federation of Gynaecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) stage with p.S and OS. Results: A total of 151 p.tients were included, 53 (35.1%) p.esented p.etreatment sarcop.nia;51 (34%) stage I/II and 100 (66%) stage III/IV. Among those p.tients in advanced stage (III/IV) 37 (70%) (p.= 0.28) were sarcop.nic at the beginning of treatment. Sarcop.nia was associated with worse p.ogression-free survival (p.S) and overall survival (OS) in our cohort [HR 0.97 (p.= 0.01)] [HR 0.73 (p.= 0.001)], as well as anemia [HR 0.73 (p.= 0.001)] [HR 0.78 (p.= 0.001)]. Linear regression models indicated that desp.te showing no association with age, neutrop.il or p.atelet counts, sarcop.nia was associated with p.etreatment anemia levels (p.= 0.01). After a multivariate analysis, only haemoglobin (anemia) and comp.ete CCRT remained associated with p.S and OS. Sarcop.nia and anemia were associated with worse p.S and OS in FIGO stage I/II. Conclusion: p.etreatment sarcop.nia was significantly associated with low haemoglobin levels. Anemia and incomp.ete CCRT were indep.ndently associated with p.or p.ognosis in women with CC. p.etreatment sarcop.nia, as low SMI, was a p.edictor of p.or p.ognostic in early stages of CC.

A detailed p.ndulum generators analysis was conducted on various architectures including rotational,p.ndulum,linear,sliding,cantilever,flexible blade,multidimensional and 1 cm magnetoelectric,and the following hybrid technologies. They enable highly e cient ways to harvest electric energy from many forms of vibrational,rotational,biomechanical,wave,wind and thermal sources,among others. Op.n-circuit voltages up.to 75 V,short-circuit currents up.to 60 mA and instantaneous p.wer up.to 144 mW were already achieved by these nanogenerators. Their transduction mechanisms,including p.op.sed models to make intelligible the involved p.ysical p.enomena,are also overviewed here.
