植物用于防御的资源有限,而那些具有生物防御的物种,其叶片可能会较少地用于其他类型的防御。我们比较了机械防御能力较弱,但具有花外蜜腺的植物,与没有花外蜜腺但叶片更有韧性的植物是否更不容易被取食。我们通过分析文献数据,调查有无花外蜜腺的植物被取食的情况。在巴西南部的热带稀树草原植被中,我们采集了6种热带植物的叶片数据,并测定了被取食情况和比叶面积。我们进一步评估了有无花外蜜腺的物种之间以及植物之间被取食情况和比叶面积的差异。为了检验动物取食与叶片韧性之间的关系,我们对单株平均被取食情况和平均叶片韧性进行了回归。研究结果表明,植物表现出不同程度的叶片损伤,但没有蚂蚁防御的植物因被取食造成的叶面积损失最大。不同植物的机械防御水平也不相同。无花外蜜腺的植株更坚韧,比叶面积值更小。虽然无花外蜜腺的植物有更多的坚硬叶片,但这种机械防御不足以损害和/或减少食草动物的取食,这表明由蚂蚁形成的生物防御可能比用于与叶片适口性相关的机械防御更有效。

Triadimefon(TDM)and cyproconazole(CPZ)are two triazoles widely used as *** azoles were synthe-sised starting from commercial TDM and *** compounds were evaluated against phytopathogenic filamentous fungi,including Aspergillus fumigatus(AF),***(AN),***(AU),***(AJ),***(AT),Fusarium oxyspo-rum and Botrytis cinerea isolated from grapevine in the province of san Juan,*** of the synthesised compounds(1-(Biphenyl-4-yloxy)-3,3-dimethyl-1-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)butan-2-one,1;2-(Biphenyl-4-yl)-3-cyclopropyl-1-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)butan-2-ol,3;3-Cyclopropyl-2-(4’-fluorobiphenyl-4-yl)-1-(1H-1,2,4-triazol1-yl)butan-2-ol,4)presented remarkable in vitro fungicidal properties,with better effects than TDM and CPZ on some of the target *** was assessed using human lung fibroblasts *** 1,with IC50 values of 389.4μM,was less toxic towards MRC-5 human lung fibroblasts than commercial TDM(248.5μM)and CPZ(267.4μM).Docking analysis and molecular dynamics simulations suggest that the compounds present the same interaction in the binding pocket of the CYP51B enzyme and with the same amino acids as *** derivatives investigated could be considered broad-spectrum but with some selectivity towards imperfect fungi.

Background:To investigate the effect of eye rubbing on keratometry(K),aberrometry,tear film break-up-time(TFBUT)and anterior chamber depth(ACD).Methods:Volunteers without any corneal pathology or dry eyes were randomised to rubbing in one eye and the fellow-eye was *** rubbing was performed for 2 *** outcomes studied were anterior and posterior K *** outcomes were changes in TFBUT,axial length(AL)&ACD,K changes in various zones,asphericity and *** and post rubbing K,aberrometry,ACD and TFBUT were assessed in a predetermined *** relationship of the above parameters to axial length(AL)was also *** was analysed using vector ***:Pre versus post rubbing,anterior flatter K further flattened(42.51±1.52 D vs.42.36±1.53 D,p=0.003)and the changes to J0 vector in central cornea(−0.16±0.26 D vs.-0.27±0.33 D,p=0.038)suggested change to against-the-rule(ATR)*** was significant change in Z^(+2)_(2) polynomial following *** found a positive correlation between axial length and change in posterior K(r=0.335,p=0.020).The TFBUT reduced following eye rubbing(15.3 s vs.13.9 s,p=0.0001).There was a positive correlation between AL and increase in ACD post rubbing(r=0.300,p=0.038).There was a positive correlation between ACD and change in mean posterior K(r=0.305,p=0.035).Conclusions:In healthy eyes,following eye rubbing,there is a significant change in TFBUT and central anterior K changes towards ATR *** eyes had more changes in posterior K and ***,eyes with deeper ACD showed more steepness of posterior K.

scaffold-free techniques in the developmental tissue engineering area are designed to mimic in vivo embryonic processes with the aim of biofabricating,in vitro,tissues with more authentic *** clusters called spheroids are the basis for scaffold-free tissue *** this review,we explore the use of spheroids from adult mesenchymal stem/stromal cells as a model in the developmental engineering area in order to mimic the developmental stages of cartilage and bone *** from adult mesenchymal stromal/stem cells lineages recapitulate crucial events in bone and cartilage formation during embryogenesis,and are capable of spontaneously fusing to other spheroids,making them ideal building blocks for bone and cartilage tissue ***,we discuss data from ours and other labs on the use of adipose stromal/stem cell spheroids in chondrogenesis and osteogenesis in ***,recent studies support the notion that spheroids are ideal"building blocks"for tissue engineering by“bottom-up”approaches,which are based on tissue assembly by advanced techniques such as three-dimensional *** studies on the cellular and molecular mechanisms that orchestrate spheroid fusion are now crucial to support continued development of bottom-up tissue engineering approaches such as three-dimensional bioprinting.

Researchers around the globe are no strangers to the term“Ionic Liquids(ILs)”.With diverse applicability in chemistry,materials,chemical engineering,medicines,biochemistry to name a few,ILs are doing exactly what the researchers in the field predicted they will do,during the first international meeting devoted entirely to ILs research held on Greek grounds in Crete,back in April 2000:ILs are sustainable and decrease the environmental burden(*** reliance on fossil fuel feedstock and replace them with renewable,increase energy efficiency,improved and/or new chemical and separation processes,etc.),while still being economically feasible in an industrial scale.

目前,为了有效解决电化学能量转化反应动力学过程缓慢和商业化应用等问题,需要大力提高催化剂的电催化活性和稳定性,并大幅降低贵金属催化剂的用量.通常,铂(Pt)基催化剂对燃料电池的氧还原反应(ORR)和水电解过程的氢析出反应(HER)表现出很高的活性.然而,对于高效的金属-空气电池和水电解装置,其中的氧析出反应(OER)则需要高活性的非Pt电催化剂来降低电化学过电位及提高其对高电位的耐受性.虽然相较于Pt催化剂,IrO2和RuO2等贵金属催化剂表现出了更高的OER活性,然而,它们的稳定性差,难以满足实际应用需求,严重阻碍了其在金属-空气电池和水电解中的应用.通常,Pt对OER的低效催化主要归因于在OER电催化过程中Pt与电解液直接接触,导致Pt表面快速被氧化,形成Pt氧化物(Pt^+4O2和Pt^+2O)层.形成的Pt氧化物对OER不起催化作用,从而降低了Pt的利用率和总的水电解效率.为了避免Pt表面的快速氧化,实现高的OER性能,我们将Pt金属纳米粒子有效地限域在超薄功能多孔碳层内.前期,已有大量的有关金属基ORR和HER催化剂研究证明,这种策略对于稳定金属纳米颗粒非常有效,可有效避免金属催化剂的快速氧化,而且还可抑制金属颗粒迁移和团聚;此外,还有利于增强催化剂的导电性和离子物种的扩散能力,从而提高催化剂的电催化性能.然而,要达到提高金属催化剂OER电催化性能的目的,还需要设计一种具有优良结构的功能化异质原子掺杂多孔碳基限域材料.金属有机框架(MOF),特别是MOF-253,由于具有较高的柔韧性、丰富的孔、可控的几何结构和高比表面积,被认为是制备功能多孔碳基限域材料的理想前驱体.为此,通过结合功能多孔碳基材料的限域作用及MOF-253和超细Pt纳米单晶的优势,本文合成了MOF-253衍生氮掺杂碳(N/C)限域的Pt纳米单晶(Pt@N/C)核壳型电催化剂.制备的Pt-N-C框架不仅具有超薄的氮掺杂活性多孔碳保护层壳体(平均厚度为0.51 nm),还有具高度分散和稳定化的Pt纳米单晶核体;值得指出的是,因受到碳层的限域作用,即使经900℃的高温处理,Pt纳米单晶仍保持了较小的晶体尺寸(平均粒径仅为6.7 nm);此外,该催化剂的Pt载量较低,仅为6.1wt%(Pt@N/C-10).将其作为OER电催化剂,表现出优异的OER性能:在10 mA cm^-2电流密度下,其过电位仅为298 mV,低于商业IrO2催化剂(353 mV);而且,经2000周加速电位扫描后,其电位仅降低19.4 mV,也低于IrO2(23.3 mV).本文很好地证明了通过构建空间限域结构可以有效解决Pt等金属催化剂因表面氧化而导致OER动力学活性和稳定性低的问题.

The recent manuscript reviewed investigations involving liver damage in coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)patients,and COVID-19 in patients with previous chronic hepatological diseases,such as patients with liver *** literature presents several conflicting results concerning the anti-sARs-CoV-2 response in patients with solid organ transplants,in liver transplant ***,we would like to humbly state a few points for consideration involving liver transplant recipients and COVID-19,such as the time since transplantation,comorbidities,and immunosuppressive regimens.

The formation and evolution of cosmic string wakes in the framework of a f(R) theory of gravity are investigated in this work. We consider a simple model in which baryonic matter flows past a cosmic string. We treat this problem in the Zel’dovich approximation. We compare our results with previous results obtained in the context of General Relativity and scalar-Theories of Gravity.

Pemphigoid Gestational and the Importance of Differential Diagnosis: A Case Report

Pemphigoid Gestational (PG), an uncommon autoimmune bullous dermatosis of pregnancy, stands out between the specific dermatological diseases of the gestational period. Despite being self-limited and benign, it has a significant impact on women’s health, both physiologically and psychologically. In addition, it promotes pathological changes that can be complicated during pregnancy. This paper reports the case of a pregnant patient with blistering lesions throughout the whole body. The diagnostic hypothesis initially involved PG and the specific treatment with corticosteroids was initiated, but after the anatomopathological result of the biopsy there has been diagnostic confusion with drug hypersensitivity, since clinical and histological manifestations were exuberant for both pathologies. As the lesions recurred in the puerperium, due to the corticoid abstention that was administered for the treatment of the differential diagnosis, a diagnostic review with immunofluorescence was made and confirmed PG. It is important to establish a correct diagnosis therefore, in order to improve the quality of care offered to the mother-baby binomial.

Dermatomyositis Post COVID-19 Vaccine: A Case Report

Dermatomyositis (DM) is a rare systemic autoimmune disease characterized by symmetrical and predominantly proximal muscle weakness in the limbs, associated with typical skin lesions. Autoimmune diseases have already been described as an adverse effect of vaccines. Case-report: A 65-year-old Caucasian female patient evolved, 5 days after the first dose of the AZD1222 vaccine against the COVID-19 virus, with skin lesions suggesting heliotrope and Gottron’s sign, with partial improvement of the condition with use of topical glucocorticoids in the lesions. After two months, the patient received the second dose of AZD1222 vaccine, and evolved with proximal muscle weakness of upper and lower limbs, dysphagia, increase of muscle enzymes, in addition to skin lesions compatible with heliotrope and Gottron’s sign again. After treatment with pulse therapy with methylprednisolone 1000 mg per day for three days and treatment with immunosuppressants, she evolved with significant clinical improvement. Conclusions: This case-report demonstrating an important chronological relationship between dermatomyositis and the vaccine AZD1222 alerts to the possibility of the disease as an important adverse reaction of vaccine against COVID-19 virus, as has been recently described by other authors.
