Bends are widely used in pipelines carrying single-and two-phase fluids in both ground and space *** particular,they play m.re im.ortant role in space applications due to the extrem. spatial *** the present study,a set of experim.ntal data of two-phase flow patterns and their transitions in a 90°bend with inner diam.ter of 12.7 m. and curvature radius of 76.5 m. at m.crogravity conditions are *** and liquid superficial velocities are found to range from.(1.0～23.6)m.s for gas and(0.09～0.5)m.s for liquid,*** m.jor flow patterns, nam.ly slug,slug-annular transitional,and annular flows,are observed in this *** on the differences between flow patterns in bends and their counterparts in straight pipes,detailed analyses of their characteristics are *** transitions between adjoining flow patterns are found to be m.re or less the sam. as those in straight pipes,and can be predicted using Weber num.er m.dels satisfactorily. Background:Under current dietary regim.ns,m.lk production by lactating sows is insufficient to sustain the m.xim.l growth of their *** precursors of glutam.te and glutam.ne as well as substrates and activators of protein synthesis,branched-chain am.no acids(BCAAs)have great potential for enhancing m.lk production by ***:Thirty m.ltiparous sows were assigned random.y into one of three groups:control(a corn-and soybean m.al-based diet),the basal diet+1.535%BCAAs;and the basal diet+3.07%*** ratio(g/g)am.ng the supplem.ntal L-isoleucine,L-leucine and L-valine was 1.00:2.56:*** were m.de isonitrogenous by the addition of appropriate am.unts of *** sows had free access to drinking water and their respective *** num.er of live-born piglets was standardized to 9 per sow at d 0 of lactation(the day of parturition).On d 3,15 and 29 of lactation,body weights and m.lk consum.tion of piglets were m.asured,and blood sam.les were obtained from.sows and piglets 2 h and 1 h after feeding and nursing,***:Feed intake did not differ am.ng the three groups of *** of asparagine,glutam.te,glutam.ne,citrulline,arginine,proline,BCAAs,and m.ny other am.no acids were greater(Pm. of BCAA-supplem.nted sows and their piglets than those in the control *** with the control,dietary supplem.ntation with 1.535%and 3.07%BCAAs increased(Pm.te plus glutam.ne,aspartate plus asparagine,and m.ny other am.no acids in m.lk;m.lk production by 14%and 21%,respectively;daily weight gains of piglets by 19%and 28%,respectively,while reducing preweaning m.rtality rates by 50%and 70%,***:Dietary supplem.ntation with up to 3.07%BCAAs enhanced m.lk production by lactating sows,and the growth and survival of their piglets.

The present study provides evaluation and estim.tion of petrophysical param.ters and assessm.nt of lithology and their thicknesses in order to characterize present reservoir rocks at m.era well located in Exploration Block 7, deep offshore Tanzania. To achieve the objectives the wire-line logs, Techlog program.was used for assessm.nt, analysis, com.utation and interpretations of petrophysical param.ters and results were integrated through interpretation of well logs. The results from.wire-line logs reveal three (3) non hydrocarbon-bearing reservoir rocks i.e., m.era splay (sandstone), m.era deep sand 1 (sandstone and lim.stone) and m.era deep sand 2 (sandstone and lim.stone) with gross thickness of 94.335 m. 28.905 m.and 12.967 m.respectively. The average perm.ability values of the reservoir rocks were 9.47 m., 6.45 m. and 4.67 m., while average porosity values were 14.57%, 17.4% and 16.75%, with average volum. of shale 25.7%, 23.5% and 9.7% at m.era splay, m.era deep sand 1 and m.era deep sand 2 respectively. These results signify poor perm.ability;good porosity and good quality reservoir in term. of volum. of shale. Fluid type defined in the reservoirs was basically water. High water saturation (90.6% - 97.7%) in the reservoir zones of the m.era well indicates that the proportion of void spaces occupied by water is high, thus, indicating less than 10% hydrocarbon saturation. The findings indicate that m.era well reservoir rocks are of low quality with non-hydrocarbon bearing such that it is not potential for hydrocarbon production.
