Elliptical vibration chiseling:a novel process for texturing ultra-high-aspect-ratio microstructures on the metallic surface

High-aspect-ratio metallic surface microstructures are increasingly demanded in breakthrough applications,such as high-performance heat transfer enhancement and surface plasmon ***,the fast and cost-effective fabrication of high-aspect-ratio microstructures on metallic surfaces remains challenging for existing *** study proposes a novel cutting-based process,namely elliptical vibration chiseling(EV-chiseling),for the high-efficiency texturing of surface microstructures with an ultrahigh aspect *** conventional cutting,EV-chiseling superimposes a microscale EV on a backward-moving *** tool chisels into the material in each vibration cycle to generate an upright chip with a high aspect ratio through material *** to the tool’s backward movement,the chip is left on the material surface to form a microstructure rather than falling *** one microstructure is generated in one vibration cycle,the process can be highly efficient using ultrafast(>1 kHz)tool vibration.A finite element analysis model is established to explore the process mechanics of ***,a mechanistic model of the microstructured surface generation is developed to describe the microstructures’aspect ratio dependency on the process ***,surface texturing tests are performed on copper to verify the efficacy of *** micro ribs with a spacing of 1–10μm and an aspect ratio of 2–5 have been successfully textured on *** with the conventional EV-cutting that uses a forward-moving tool,EV-chiseling can improve the aspect ratio of textured microstructure by up to 40 *** experimental results also verify the accuracy of the developed surface generation model of ***,the effects of elliptical trajectory,depth of cut,tool shape,and tool edge radius on the surface generation of micro ribs have been discussed.

Effect of lanthanum on inclusions in non-oriented electrical steel slabs

The effect of lanthanum on the characteristics of inclusions in the slab of non-oriented electrical steels was investigated through industrial trials and thermodynamic *** number,size,and chemical composition of inclusions in the surface,one-quarter of thickness and the center of slabs with and without lanthanum addition were statistically analyzed using an automatic inclusion analysis *** the lanthanum-free slab,inclusions were predominately ***_(2)O_(3),MgO,and AlN as well as a small number of Al_(2)O_(3)-MgO-CaO and *** number densities of oxide inclusions and AlN decreased from the surface to the center of the slab,which was ascribed to the difference in cooling intensity during the continuous *** the steel with lanthanum addition,inclusions were modified into LaAlO_(3) and La_(2)O_(2)S and gradually transformed into dual-phase MgO-La_(2)S3 with an increasing distance from the slab surface due to the reaction between the lanthanum-containing inclusion and the steel *** uneven distribution of oxide inclusions along the thickness of the slab was eliminated in the lanthanum-bearing slab because the dissolved oxygen was remarkably decreased by ***-bearing inclusions were more likely to agglomerate AlN by inducing the heterogeneous nucleation of AlN on their surface,while small-size ***_(2)O_(3) inclusions hardly showed a coarsening effect on the size of AlN.

The unique mechanical,optical,and electrical properties of carbyne,a one-dimensional allotrope of carbon,make it a highly promising material for various *** has been demonstrated that carbon nanotubes(CNTs)can serve as an ideal host for the formation of confined carbyne(CC),with the yield being influenced by the quality of the carbon nanotubes for confinement and the carbon source for carbyne *** this study,a robust synthesis route of CC within CNTs is proposed.C70 was utilized as a precursor to provide an additional carbon source,based on its ability to supply more carbon atoms than C60 at the same filling ***-step transformation processes,including defect creation,were designed to enhance the yield of *** a result,the yield of CC was significantly increased for the C70 encapsulated single-walled CNTs by more than an order of magnitude than the empty counterparts,which also surpasses that of the double-walled CNTs,making it the most effective route for synthesizing *** findings highlight the importance of the additional carbon source and the optimal pathway for CC formation,offering valuable insights for the application of materials with high yield.

To improve the bit error rate(BER)performance of multi-user signal detection in satelliteterrestrial downlink non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA)systems,an iterative signal detection algorithm based on soft interference cancellation with optimal power allocation is *** that power allocation has a significant impact on BER performance,the optimal power allocation is obtained by minimizing the average BER of NOMA *** to the allocated powers,successive interference cancellation(SIC)between NOMA users is performed in descending power *** each user,an iterative soft interference cancellation is performed,and soft symbol probabilities are calculated for soft *** improve detection accuracy and without increasing the complexity,the aforementioned algorithm is optimized by adding minimum mean square error(MMSE)signal estimation before detection,and in each iteration soft symbol probabilities are utilized for soft-decision of the current user and also for the update of soft interference of the previous *** results illustrate that the optimized algorithm ***-IDBSIC significantly outperforms joint multi-user detection and SIC detection by 7.57dB and 8.03dB in terms of BER performance.

JAPO: learning join and pushdown order for cloud-native join optimization

In this paper, we introduce JAPO which learn the join and pushdown order through DRL. The main idea is that the DRL agent learns better decisions based on the experiences by monitoring the rewards and latencies via trying different actions. The results show that our method can generate good plans both on join order and pushdown order. We also show that our method can select the well-performed distributed index placement via experiments. In the future, we plan to deploy JAPO to real systems execution and consider more factors in JAPO, such as different join types.

In the realm of modern information technology,data compression technology occupies a pivotal *** advancements in quantum information technology,the need to compress large-scale qubits ensembles has become urgent,aiming to reduce the demand on quantum storage ***,existing quantum state compression schemes generally face a limitation:the particles before and after compression must reside in the same dimensional *** specific scenarios,compressing qubits into particles of higher dimensions not only enhances the efficiency of quantum state compression but also further reduces the usage of quantum storage *** we experimentally demonstrated a quantum state compression between particles of different dimensions,successfully compressing two qubits into a single *** average fidelity of the resulting qutrit with the ideal quantum state is *** study may have potential applications in future quantum information,such as increasing quantum communication bandwidth and reducing storage resource consumption in quantum computing.

An Adaptive Control Strategy for Energy Storage Interface Converter Based on Analogous Virtual Synchronous generator

In the DC microgrid,the lack of inertia and damping in power electronic converters results in poor stability of DC bus voltage and low inertia of the DC microgrid during fluctuations in load and photovoltaic *** address this issue,the application of a virtual synchronous generator(VSg)in grid-connected inverters control is referenced and proposes a control strategy called the analogous virtual synchronous generator(AVSg)control strategy for the interface DC/DC converter of the battery in the ***,a flexible parameter adaptive control method is introduced to further enhance the inertial behavior of the AVSg ***,a theoretical analysis is conducted on the various components of the DC microgrid,the structure of analogous virtual synchronous generator,and the control structure’s main parameters related to the DC microgrid’s inertial ***,the voltage change rate tracking coefficient is introduced to adjust the change of the virtual capacitance and damping coefficient flexibility,which further strengthens the inertia trend of the DC ***,a small-signal modeling approach is used to analyze the approximate range of the AVSg’s main parameters ensuring system ***,conduct a simulation analysis by building the model of the DC microgrid system with photovoltaic(PV)and battery energy storage(BES)in MATLAB/*** results from different scenarios have verified that the AVSg control introduces fixed inertia and damping into the droop control of the battery,resulting in a certain level of inertia ***,the additional adaptive control strategy built upon the AVSg control provides better and flexible inertial support for the DC microgrid,further enhances the stability of the DC bus voltage,and has a more positive impact on the battery performance.

PHLDA2 reshapes the immune microenvironment and induces drug resistance in hepatocellular carcinoma

Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a malignancy known for its unfavorable *** dysregulation of the tumor microenvironment(TME)can affect the sensitivity to immunotherapy or chemotherapy,leading to treatment *** elucidation of PHLDA2’s involvement in HCC is imperative,and the clinical value of PHLDA2 is also ***,bioinformatics analysis was performed in multiple cohorts to explore the phenotype and mechanism through which PHLDA2 may affect the progression of ***,the expression and function of PHLDA2 were examined via the qRT-PCR,Western Blot,and MTT *** findings indicate a substantial upregulation of PHLDA2 in HCC,correlated with a poorer *** methylation levels of PHLDA2 were found to be lower in HCC tissues compared to normal liver ***,noteworthy associations were observed between PHLDA2 expression and immune infiltration in *** addition,PHLDA2 upregulation is closely associated with stemness features and immunotherapy or chemotherapy resistance in *** vitro experiments showed that sorafenib or cisplatin significantly up-regulated PHLDA2 mRNA levels,and PHLDA2 knockdown markedly decreased the sensitivity of HCC cells to chemotherapy ***,we found that TgF-βinduced the expression of PHLDA2 in *** gSEA and in vitro experiment indicated that PHLDA2 may promote the HCC progression via activating the AKT signaling *** study revealed the novel role of PHLDA2 as an independent prognostic factor,which plays an essential role in TME remodeling and treatment resistance in HCC.

Silvestrol alleviates glioblastoma progression through ERK pathway modulation and MANBA and NRg-1 expression

Background:glioblastoma,a notably malignant tumor within the central nervous system,is distinguished by its aggressive ***,a robust inhibitor of the RNA helicase eukaryotic initiation factor 4A(eIF4A),has shown significant potential as an anticancer ***,the impact of silvestrol on glioblastoma,especially its molecular mechanisms,has not been fully ***:This investigation employed a variety of in vitro assays,such as cell counting kit-8(CCK-8),clonogenic,5-ethynyl-2′-deoxyuridine(EDU),wound healing,and flow cytometry,to evaluate cell cycle progression,apoptosis,cell viability,and *** blot analysis was also performed to study the apoptosis and extracellular regulated kinase(ERK)*** the ERK pathway was inhibited,differentially expressed genes(DEgs)in U87 cells were identified,followed by an analysis of target genes using the gene expression profiling interactive analysis(gEPIA)***:Silvestrol significantly suppressed the proliferation,migration,and colony formation of glioma *** caused cell cycle arrest and enhanced apoptosis in these ***,silvestrol stimulated the ERK pathway,with these effects being reversible by an ERK phosphorylation *** combined with gEPIA,gSCA,UALCAN,TIMER database screened 4 potential drug targets of silvestrol:chromosome 1 open reading frame 226(C1ORF226),mannosidase beta A(MANBA),IQ motif and Sec7 domain 2(IQSEC2),neuregulin 1(NRg-1).Among them,C1ORF226 was lower risk gene while MANBA,IQSEC2,and NRg-1 were high-risk ***,silvestrol notably reduced MANBA mRNA levels,which could be reversed by inhibiting ERK ***,silvestrol markedly decreased NRg-1 protein levels,with an additional reduction observed when the ERK pathway was ***:Silvestrol’s anti-glioma effects are primarily due to the suppression of MANBA expression via the ERK pathway and possibly by hindering the translation of N
