An improved small-signal parameter extraction technique for short channel enhancement-mode N-polar gaN MOS-HEMT is proposed, which is a combination of a conventional analytical method and optimization techniques. The extrinsic parameters such as parasitic capacitance, inductance and resistance are extracted under the pinch-off condition. The intrinsic parameters of the small-signal equivalent circuit（SSEC） have been extracted including gate forward and backward conductance. Different optimization algorithms such as PSO, Quasi Newton and Firefly optimization algorithm is applied to the extracted parameters to minimize the error between modeled and measured S-parameters. The different optimized SSEC models have been validated by comparing the S-parameters and unity current-gain with TCAD simulations and available experimental data from the literature. It is observed that the Firefly algorithm based optimization approach accurately extracts the small-signal model parameters as compared to other optimization algorithm techniques with a minimum error percentage of 1.3%.

Colon cancer is currently the third most common cancer and second most fatal cancer in the United States,resulting in approximately 600,000 deaths *** colorectal cancer death rates are decreasing by about 3%every year,disease outcomes could be substantially improved with more research into the drivers of colon carcinogenesis,the determinants of aggressiveness in colorectal cancer and the identification of biomarkers that could enable choice of more optimal *** carcinogenesis is notably a slow process that can take *** factors that contribute to the development of colon cancer are mutational,epigenetic and environmental,and risk factors include age,history of polyps and family history of colon *** cancers exhibit heterogeneity in their features and are often characterized by the presence of chromosomal instability,microscopic satellite instability,or Cpg island methylator *** this review,we propose that centrosome amplification may be a widespread occurrence in colorectal cancers and could potently influence tumor ***,the quantitation of this cancer-specific anomaly could offer valuable prognostic information and pave the way for further customization of treatment based on the organellar profile of *** stratification models that take into account centrosomal status could thus potentially reduce adverse side effects and result in improved outcomes for colorectal cancer patients.

AIM To evaluate the effect of nonsurgical periodontal therapy on glycosylated haemoglobin levels in pre-diabetic patients with chronic periodontitis(CHP).METHODS Sixty pre-diabetic patients with CHP were selected and equally allocated to case and control group. All subjects were evaluated at base line for periodontal parameters(plaque index, oral hygiene index, modified gingival index, probing pocket depth, clinical attachment level) and systemic parameters [glycosylated hemoglobin(HbA1c), fasting lipid profile, and fasting blood glucose]. The case group received non-surgical periodontal therapy. Subjects were re-evaluated for periodontal and systemic parameters after three *** Both groups were comparable at baseline. Three months after non surgical periodontal therapy(NSPT), there was significant improvement in periodontal parameters in case group. The mean difference in systemic parameters like HbA1c and fasting plasma glucose from baseline to fourth month for case group was 0.22 ± 0.11 and 3.90 ± 8.48 respectively and control group was-0.056 ± 0.10 and-1.66 ± 6.04 respectively, which was significant between case and control group(P group there was a significant decrease in HbA1c from baseline to three months following NSPT(P glycemic control in otherwise systemically healthy individuals. Periodontal therapy improved periodontal health status and decreased glycosylated haemoglobin levels, thus reducing the probability of occurrence of inflammation induced prediabetes in patients with CHP.

The optimal conditions on the plasma-forming gas flowrate, discharge current and voltage, distance between the plasma-torch nozzle and the metal plate surface for the process of penetration in and vaporization of steel plates by the contracted electric-arc air plasma torch accompanied by water quenching, were determined. The X-ray structural and phase studies as well as Mossbauer and electron microscope studies on the samples treated were performed. It was demonstrated that the vaporized elemental iron was oxidized by the oxygen present in the air plasma jet to form iron oxides （wiistite, magnetite, hematite）, which, depending on their mass ra- tios, determined the color of the iron oxide pigments, namely, beginning from light yellow, through deep yellow, light brown, deep brown, violet, red-violet, to black. A high degree of dispersity of the iron oxides is thus produced, with an averaged diameter of the particles below 500 nm, and their defective crystal structure form the basis of their potential application as components of iron-containing catalysts and pigments.

Airlines and the aviation industry are committed to emission reduction targets. Biokerosene was pointed out as one of the key elements to achieving this goal. The use of oilseeds in the production of biokerosene is interesting due to the great Brazilian experience in the production of biofuels from this raw material. In view of this scenario, this dissertation has as its main objective the definition of the place of implantation of a biorefinery in Brazilian territory that has aviation biokerosene as its main product. For this, data on supply and demand for fossil aviation kerosene in Brazilian regions were collected, an extensive review was carried out in scientific articles on the oleaginous raw materials used for the production of this biofuel, and logistical parameters were selected and used as criteria for that selection. The oilseeds selected for the production of biofuel were macaúba and soybean and the state was chosen for the implementation of the biorefinery was goiás. Based on logistical parameters, the city of Formosa (gO) was selected to host the biorefinery. The soybean crushers located in Luziania, Anápolis, Ipameri, and Itumbiara were chosen as suppliers of soybean oil and the city of Formosa (gO) as the headquarters for the commercial planting of macaúba. The destination of this fuel will be Petrobrás Distribuidora S.A., an aviation fuel distributor authorized by the ANP based in the city of Brasília (DF).

This research investigates a numerical simulation of swirling turbulent non-premixed *** effects on the combustion characteristics are examined with three turbulence models:namely as the Reynolds stress model,spectral turbulence analysis and Re-Normalization *** addition,the P-1 and discrete ordinate(DO)models are used to simulate the radiative heat transfer in this *** governing equations associated with the required boundary conditions are solved using the numerical *** accuracy of this model is validated with the published experimental data and the comparison elucidates that there is a reasonable agreement between the obtained values from this model and the corresponding experimental *** different models proposed in this research,the Reynolds stress model with the Probability Density Function(PDF)approach is more accurate(nearly up to 50%)than other turbulent models for a swirling flow *** the effect of radiative heat transfer model,it is observed that the discrete ordinate model is more precise than the P-1 model in anticipating the experimental *** model is able to simulate the subcritical nature of the isothermal flow as well as the size and shape of the internal recirculation induced by the swirl due to combustion.
