g>Introduction:g> COVID-19 disease is a highly contagious viral infection caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. There is growing interest in Public Health and Occupational Health in identifying the COVID-19 prognostic factors, needed to stratified patients by risk being necessary to consider occupational variables as well as individual and clinical factors of the workers. g>Objective:g> The aim of this study was to perform a tool to identify the more vulnerable workers for COVID-19 that will be useful to value their work limitations. g>Methods:g> A review of medical literature about the vulnerability for COVID-19 is taken into account occupational risks and occupational preventive measures. g>Results:g> It is proposed an index of vulnerability criteria for COVID-19 in workers based on quantifying individual characteristics, pre-existing medical conditions and its control, high risk of occupational exposure, and prevention and protection strategies in the workplace. The final result is stratified into three degrees of vulnerability that will serve to propose the most appropriate preventive measures. g>Conclusion:g> This proposal protocol assesses about the vulnerability for COVID-19 infection in workers to help decide the preventive management at workplace in this pandemic situation.

g>Introduction: g>Vulnerable is someone who can be hurt or receive injury, physically or morally. The work environment appears as one of the dimensions in which social vulnerability develops and social and occupational vulnerability is defined. The literature does not include an assessment of quantified occupational vulnerability as it already exists in the case of social vulnerability. The aim of this paper is to identify and quantify the variables included in the Protocol for the Assessment of Vulnerability to COVID-19 in such a way that the result can be quantified and allows for a predictive effect on the degree of vulnerability. g>Methodology:g> The starting point is the design of a protocol proposal that includes 29 variables. Data is collected from a sample of 420 workers, quantifying the results according to each variable, the overall scores for each group of aspects assessed and, finally, the total score that estimates the degree of vulnerability according to established ranges. g>Results:g> Variables that have the highest coefficient and, therefore, the greatest weight in the probability of reaching a group of high or medium vulnerability are cardiovascular disease, cancer, and coagulation alteration. The weight of the labour aspects due to inadequate working conditions stands out. g>Conclusions: g>The results obtained with this protocol allow us to make a quantified assessment of labour vulnerability to COVID-19 by integrating individual variables of the worker, his working conditions and the preventive actions of his company against COVID-19, and can be useful as an Occupational Vulnerability Index (OVI).

Despite many advances in prevention and perioperative care, deep sternal wound infection(DSWI) remains a pressing concern in cardiac surgery, with a still relevant incidence and with a considerable impact on in-hospital mortality and also on mid- and long-term survival. The permanent high impact of this complication is partially related to the increasing proportion of patients at highrisk for infection, as well as to the many patient and surgical risk factors involved in the pathogenesis of DSWI. The prophylactic antibiotic therapy is one of the most important tools in the prevention of DSWI. However, the choice of antibiotic, the dose, the duration, the adequate levels in serum and tissue, and the timing of antimicrobial prophylaxis are still controversial. The treatment of DSWI ranges from surgical revision with primary closure to surgical revision with open dressings or closed irrigation, from reconstruction with soft tissue flaps to negative pressure wound therapy(NPWT). However, to date, there have been no accepted recommendations regarding the best management of DSWI. Emerging evidence in the literature has validated the efficacy and safety of NPWT either as a single-line therapy, or as a "bridge" prior to final surgical closure. In conclusion, the careful control of patient and surgical risk factors- when possible, the proper antimicrobial prophylaxis, and the choice of validated techniques of treatment could contribute to keep DSWIs at a minimal rate.

The study of the mineral and organic content of the Allende meteorite is important for our understanding of the molecular evolution of the universe as well as the ancient Earth. Previous studies have characterized the magnetic minerals present in ordinary and carbonaceous chondrites, providing information on the evolution of magnetic fields. The interaction of organic compounds with magnetic minerals is a possible source of chemical diversity, which is crucial for molecular evolution. Carbon compounds in meteorites are of great scientific interest for a variety of reasons, such as their relevance to the origins of chirality in living organisms. This study presents the characterization of organic and mineral compounds in the Allende meteorite. The structural and physicochemical characterization of the Allende meteorite was accomplished through light microscopy, powder X-ray diffraction with complementary Rietveld refinement, Raman and infrared spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, scanning electron microscopy, and atomic force microscopy using magnetic signal methods to determine the complex structure and the interaction of organic compounds with magnetic Ni-Fe minerals. The presence of Liesegang-like patterns of chondrules in fragments of the Allende structure may also be relevant to understanding how the meteorite was formed. Other observations include the presence of magnetic materials and nanorod-like solids with relatively similar sizes as well as the heterogeneous distribution of carbon in chondrules. Signals observed in the Raman and infrared spectra resemble organic compounds such as carbon nanotubes and peptide-like molecules that have been previously reported in other meteorites, making the Mexican Allende meteorite a feasible sample for the study of the early Earth and exoplanetary bodies.

Smart biomaterials for tissue regeneration need to incorporate molecules able to interact with specific cellular adhesion or morphogenic proteins of the extracellular matrix (ECM). NMR binding studies allow obtaining structural information essential for the comprehension of biological processes and, nowadays, high-resolution magic-angle-spinning (HR-MAS) NMR spectroscopy is a well-established tool for the study of heterogeneous systems. Here the generation of a model-system used to explore the possibility to reveal interactions between two molecular entities, one of which linked to a solid support, to mimic a bioactive species immobilized on a biomaterial surface, is presented. The carbohydrate recognition processes that take place in the ECM have a pivotal role in promoting cell adhesion and differentiation and, thus, tissue regeneration. Hence, a pseudo-receptor, that mimics the lectin binding site was prepared and its interaction with a panel of different monosaccharides was characterized. The results obtained support the theoretical model according to which lectins bind carbohydrates exploiting the CH-π interactions occurring in their active site. Moreover the NMR experimental approach here described can be generally applied when the interacting species do not have the same solubility properties in physiological conditions and, in particular, can be exploited for the analysis and characterization of molecular recognition events occurring at biomaterial surface.

The identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses performed at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard Model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 geV and 2 TeV and for multiple tagger working points.

背景尽管有报道说皮肤温度的变化比针刺痛或冷温度感觉对阻滞效果的评定更具敏感性和特异性，但以前应用的方法是计算机辅助的红外温度记录法，该技术花赞大且需要一定的人员培训。在这项前瞻性的观察研究中，我们评估简易的红外温度计是否能可靠地预测锁骨下臂丛神经的阻滞效果。方法30例在锁骨下臂丛神经阻滞下行上技手术的患者纳入本研究。局部麻醉药（以下简称局麻药）注射后在4个主要神经分布区域监测皮肤温度，且5分钟评价一次感觉阻滞的效果（用无痛温觉为0到正常感觉为2）共记录30分钟。注入局麻药后30分钟内4个主要神经分布区域（桡神经、尺神经、正中神经和肌皮神经）的痛温觉消失评分为0视为阻滞成功。皮肤温度的测定采用非接触的温度传感器。结果阻滞120支神经（每例患者4支神经，共30例患者）。其中25例患者成功，4例患者因阻滞失败需补充给药，1例患者改用了全麻。不同神经分布区域的皮肤温度变化没有差异。和阻滞前相比，神经阻滞区域皮肤温度的升高有统计学意义（P〈0．0001，T5-T30）。同一时间神经阻滞区域和非神经阻滞区域的皮肤温度变化有明显的差异（P〈0．05，T5且P〈0．0001，T10～T30）。在某个特定的感觉区域，当5分钟和10分钟时皮肤温度升高1℃或者更高，该神经即被阻滞（评分为0）。因此，5分钟和10分钟时4个神经分布区域的皮肤温度变化明显，30分钟时神经即阻滞成功。监测显示对侧上肢或中心体温没有变化。结论用红外线温度计监测皮肤温度是判断神经阻滞成功与否的可靠、简单且及时的指标。
