The presumed hairs of Holy Maria-Magdalena are studied here for mineral particles found on their surfaces, by the techniques of scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy dispersive X-ray. Exploration by these techniques of the hair surfaces allows us to observe and study some marble fragments that can originate from the walls of the sarcophagus in which Maria-Magdalena’s remains were kept. These new findings support the authenticity of the hair as traditionally reported in the French “tradition des Saints de Provence”.

The 62Sm, 64gd, 66Dy, 70Yb, 72Hf and 74W nuclei are classified as deformed nuclei. Low-lying bands are one of the most fundamental excitation modes in the energy spectra of deformed nuclei. In this paper a theoretical analysis of the experimental data within the phenomenological model is presented. The energy spectra of ground states are calculated. It is found that the low-lying spectra of ground band states are in good agreement with the experimental data.

The objective of this investigation was to study whether it is possible to determine the air tightness of covered slurry storage tanks using tracer gas technique by injection of sulphur hexafluoride （SF6） and measurements of the decay in gas concentrations with an infrared spectrophotometer in the air space above the slurry. By measuring the decay in concentration of injected tracer gas at different occasions, the air exchange rate was determined. Three different types of coverings were studied namely; wooden roof, plastic tent and concrete roof.

Nano brazing of Pt-Ag nanoparticles with nano Ag filler metal is reported in this letter, which presents an effective way to join nanoobjects by femtosecond laser irradiation. The nano brazed interface between Pt-Ag and Ag showed good lattice matching along(111)_(Ag) //(111)_(Ag-Pt). Lattice mismatch can hardly be observed at the interface between the filler metal and Pt-Ag nanoparticle, which is important for the joint strength and normally does not occur during joining. The very low mismatch also suggested that melting and solidification occurred during nano brazing by femtosecond laser. The role of Brownian motion on the nano joining process is also discussed in this paper.

SUMMARY Vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia(VITT)and cerebral venous sinus thrombosis(CVST)have been recently described as rare complications following vaccination against SARS-CoV-2 with vector *** report a case of a young woman who presented with VITT and cerebral CVST 7 days following vaccination with ChAdOx1 nCov-19(AstraZeneca).While the initial MRI was considered void of pathological findings,MRI 3 days later revealed extensive CVST of the transversal and sigmoidal sinus with intracerebral *** tests including a platelet-factor-4-induced platelet activation assay confirmed the diagnosis of *** with intravenous immunoglobulins and argatroban resulted in a normalisation of platelet counts and remission of CVST.

The objective of this study was to estimate natural, fishing and total mortality, survival and exploitation rates of Clupeonella engrauliformis in the southern Caspian Sea. Survival rate and natural mortality were calculated using catch curve and Pauly methods, respectively. Natural and fishing mortality have been estimated up to 0.633 yr^-1 and 0.437 yr^-1, respectively. According to catch curve method, the annual survival rate of anchovy kilka has been estimated up to 0.343 yr^-1. With owning this survival rate, the instantaneous coefficient of total mortality of anchovy kilka has been estimated up to 1.07 yr^-1. The exploitation rate of anchovy kilka has been estimated up to 0.408. The catch amounts of anchovy kilka decreased gradually mainly due to overfishing, predators and ecological disturbances occurred in the Caspian Sea. The results suggest that the population of anchovy kilka were overexploited in the past years and were vulnerable to their natural predators.

Alloy modification, accompanying with proper heat treatment, is commonly used to improve the thermal stability of NdFeB magnet. Traditional alloy modification is performed through melting process with alloy elements to form the multi-alloy. In doing so, these alloy elements not only are introduced into the inter-ranular boundaries, but partly into the main phase, thus decreasing to some extent the magnetism of the main phase. In this paper, the blending method is used to prepare the Nd22Fe71B7/Mo sintered magnet, and its magnetic properties and microstractures are investigated. The results show that by adding 1.5% （mass fraction） Mo, the intrinsic coercivity 24, of the magnet reaches the maximum value of 1719.36KA/m, while continually increasing the amount of Mo has a less effect on iHc Microstructures analysis indicates that Mo-free Nd-Fe-B magnet has not uniform grains in size, while that with Mo element has uniform grains in size and smooth grain boundaries. Experiments show that after the NdFeB magnet is sintered at 1273K and annealed at 873K, the added Mo element could prevent the equilibrium transformation between the main phase and Nd-rich phase, thus resulting in the precipitation of fine second main phase （Nd2Fe14-xMoxB） from the main phase boundaries, preventing the nucleation and expansion of anti-magnetic domain, and enhancing the coercivity.

The process of medicalization of abortion in Poland began when pregnancy termination procedures were legalized in *** context in which that was possible is important:it happened under the communist rule as part of the Soviet *** main goal of communism was to promote scientific approach to medicine and to eliminate popular folk *** communist rule was also characterized by state feminism,which involved mass employment of women in industry and other *** positive side to the changes was the fact that health care was free of ***,the system excluded the care of village healers and abortionists who were replaced by obstetricians-gynecologists,usually *** to the official propaganda,an abortion that was not performed by a medical professional was dangerous for a woman’s health and could cause her ***,abortion-related mortality decreased,but the rate of abortion itself did not fall;it gradually *** is typical for countries with no free market,including communist ones,where access to contraceptive pills is very limited with abortion being the primary method of birth *** the fall of communism in Poland,access to abortion was severely restricted;nevertheless,contraceptive pills and morning-after pills are available on prescription from *** total fertility rate decreased in comparison to the period of communism and its broad access to ***,I maintain that the process of medicalization of abortion has not ended despite the partial disenfranchisement of women.
