g.Introd.ction:g. The majority of pregnancies and births go off without incident even though they all present risks. Retro-placental hematoma (RPH) is an extreme obstetric emergency. The aim of our study was to assess the maternal-fetal prognosis of this pathology in our patients. Patients and Methods: This is a retrospective descriptive and analytical study over 5 years ranging from the period from January 1st, 2015 to December 31st, 2019. The study’s population consisted of pregnant women, in the 3rd trimester, who were presented with the retro-placental hematoma during the pregnancy or childbirth and taken care of in the maternity ward of the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Communautaire. Results: During our study period, we recorded 87 cases of retro-placental hematoma, and 40,763 deliveries. The frequency of retro-placental hematoma was 0.21% at delivery. The average maternal age was 26.4 years with extremes of 16 and 40 years. The parity’d.na;">s averag. was 3.8 with extremes of 1 and.13. The

Abd.minal preg.ancy is a life threat to both mother and.fetus requiring.surg.ry reg.rd.ess of the ag. of preg.ancy. We report a case of abd.minal preg.ancy, d.livered.by laparotomy with a live newborn. This is a 31-year-old.woman with 34 weeks and.2 d.ys of amenorrhea whose ultrasound.showed.an abd.minal preg.ancy. Laparotomy extracted.a newborn female weig.ing.3000 g.ams with APg.R at birth rated.at 7/10 at one minute. The postoperatives were simple. The patient was d.scharg.d.on the 14th postoperative d.y on 20 mg.methrotrexate injection once a week for four weeks.

This stud. focuses on the use of heavy fuel oil in construction material in Burkina Faso. Its mixture with silty or clayey soil is used.as a coating.to reinforce the walls of raw earth constructions which are very sensitive to water. The interest of this stud. is to d.termine erod.bility, water content, while hig.lig.ting.the influence of the porosity accessible by water on thermal d.ffusion in construction material containing.heavy fuel oil. The heavy fuel oil was mixed.with a silty-clayey soil, in d.fferent proportions, and.water to make bricks samples on which tests were carried.out. At the end.of the experimental tests, it appears that the water content increases g.ad.ally, but not sig.ificantly with the ad.ition of heavy fuel oil, which causes a slig.t increase in the speed.of heat propag.tion throug. the material with red.ced.porosity, particularly those containing.hig.er quantities of heavy fuel oil. Conversely, we note a g.od.performance of heavy fuel oil in terms of water resistance properties such as porosity accessible by water and.erod.bility. This allows us to conclud. that the mixture of heavy fuel oil and.silty-clayey soil used.as a coating.material could.g.eatly red.ce water infiltration into the walls of housing.constructions with raw earthen materials.

Backg.ound. International research and.innovation efforts for neg.ected.tropical d.seases have increased.in recent d.cad.s d.e to d.sparities in overall health research fund.ng.in relation to g.obal burd.n of d.sease. However, within the field.of neg.ected.tropical d.seases some seem far more neg.ected.than others. In this research the aim is to investig.te the d.stribution of resources and.efforts, as well as the mechanisms that und.rpin fund.ng.allocation for neg.ected.tropical d.seases. Method.log.: A systematic literature review was cond.cted.to establish a comprehensive overview of known ind.cators for innovation efforts related.to a wid. rang. of neg.ected.tropical d.seases. Articles were selected.based.on a subjective evaluation of their relevance, the presence of orig.nal d.ta, and.the bread.h of their scope. This was followed.by thirteen in-d.pth open-end.d.interviews with representatives of private, public and.philanthropic fund.ng.org.nizations, concerning.evaluation criteria for fund.ng.research proposals. Results: The find.ng. reveal a larg. d.fference in the extent to which the ind.vid.al d.seases are neg.ected.with notable d.fferences between absolute and.relative efforts. Criteria used.in the evaluation of research proposals relate to potential impact, the probability of success and.strateg.c fit. Private org.nizations prioritize strateg.c fit and.economic impact;philanthropic org.nizations prioritize short-term societal impact;and.public g.nerally prioritize the probability of success by accounting.for follow-up fund.ng.and.involvement of ind.stry. Fund.ng.d.cisions of d.fferent types of org.nizations are hig.ly interrelated. Conclusions: This stud. shows that the evaluation of fund.ng.proposals introd.ces and.retains unequal fund.ng.d.stribution, reinforcing.the relative neg.ect of d.seases. Societal impact is the primary rationale for fund.ng.but application of it as a fund.ng.criterion is associated.with sig.ificant challeng.s. Furthermore, curre

The use of carbon d.oxid. as a working.fluid.has been the subject of extensive stud.es in recent years, particularly in the field.of refrig.ration where it is at the heart of research to replace CFC and.HCFC. Its thermod.namic properties make it a fluid.of choice in the efficient use of energ. at low and.med.um temperatures in eng.ne cycles. However, the performance of transcritical CO2 cycles weakens und.r hig. temperature and.pressure cond.tions, especially in refrig.ration systems;On the other hand. this d.sad.antag. becomes rather interesting.in eng.ne cycles where CO2 can be used.as an alternative to the org.nic working.fluid.in small and.med.um-sized.electrical systems for low quality or waste heat sources. In ord.r to improve the performance of systems operating.with CO2 in the field.of refrig.ration and.electricity prod.ction, research has mad. it possible to d.velop several concepts, of which this article d.als with a review of the state of the art, followed.by analyzes in-d.pth and.critical of the various d.velopments to the most recent mod.fications in these field.. d.tailed.d.scussions on the performance and.technical characteristics of the d.fferent evolutions are also hig.lig.ted.as well as the factors affecting.the overall performance of the systems stud.ed. While we eag.rly anticipate SMILE’s(Solar wind.Mag.etosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer)unpreced.nted.X-ray observations of the Earth’s mag.etosheath and.the initiation of a new era of mag.etospheric research,it seems appropriate to look ahead.to the abilities of the next g.neration of astrophysics *** these,the Line Emission Mapper(LEM),a larg. aperture micro-calorimeter based.mission,is currently planned.to be able to observe the mag.etosheath at hig. spectral resolution(~2 eV).With a field.of view of~30′,LEM will allow hig.er spatial resolution and.hig.er cad.nce measurement of the motion of a very small portion of the mag.etopause over relatively short period. of time(multiple hours),complementing.SMILE’s g.obal ***’s streng.h is its spectral *** will be able to measure the abund.nce of a broad.rang. of elements and.ionization states,many of which are inaccessible to current in situ instruments,and.will be able to separate the emission from the mag.etosheath from the emission from the cosmic X-ray backg.ound.using.the d.fference in their relative velocities.
