The association of various social capital indicators and physical activity participation among Turkish adolescents

Background: Physical activity participation(PAP) has been proven to improve health and promote optimal growth among adolescents. However,most adolescents do not meet the current physical activity(PA) recommendations in Turkey. The role of the social environment and social factors on PAP is being increasingly recognized. Although social capital(SC) indicators have been examined in high-income countries, there are few studies on developing countries. The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between SC indicators and PAP among Turkish ***: A survey was conducted among 19 high schools in 4 different cities in Turkey in 2016. A total of 506 female and 729 male high school students participated in this study. The dependent variable was overall PAP, which was measured using the short form of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire. The independent variables included self-perceived family, neighborhood, and school SC. Self-rated health and obesity status, measured by body mass index, were other study covariates in multiple binary logistic regression models. Chi-square tests were used to assess the differences between ***: PAP levels were significantly different between males and females. A higher percentage of males reported PAP(77.4%) compared to females(51.0%). Among males, teacher–student interpersonal trust and informal social control were inversely associated with PAP, while high students interpersonal trust was positively associated with increased odds of PAP. For females, students interpersonal trust was inversely associated with ***: Various SC indicators are associated with PAP for males and females. These associations are different from findings of studies conducted in developed countries. Therefore, health-promotion interventions and policies should consider gender and different social agents on the social and cultural background to improve PAP among Turkish adolescents.

The TESS light curve(LC)of the marginal contact binary A A Cet was analyzed simultaneously with the radial velocity and the orbital period(OP)change of the system was *** physical parameters of the system were obtained by analyzing the LC of A A Cet with the Wilson-Devinney method,and the absolute parameters of the components were calculated using the results *** the components of AA Cet,the masses and radii were calculated as M_(1)=1.39±0.04 M_⊙,M_(2)=0.48±0.02 M_⊙,and R_(1)=1.64±0.03 R_⊙,R_(2)=1.01±0.04 R_⊙,*** Cet is a marginal contact binary with a temperature difference of 1305 K between its components.A total of 14 eclipse times were obtained from the TESS data and used in the OP analysis together with those collected from the *** has been observed that the change in the OP of AA Cet is in the form of a decreasing *** mass transfer between the components has been interpreted as the reason for this *** OP decrease amount of A A Cet was obtained as dP/dt=0.0062±0.0006 s yr^(-1).and the reason for this decrease was attributed to a 3.3(9)×10^(-8)M_⊙.mass transfer per year from the more massive component to the less massive *** age of A A Cet has been estimated as 7 gyr,as the age of contact systems helps us to understand their evolution.

The equilibrated grain boundary groove shapes of solid solution Ag2Al in equilibrium with an AI-Cu-Ag liquid were observed from a quenched sample with a radial heat flow apparatus. The gibbs Thomson coefficient, solid liquid interfacial energy and grain boundary energy of the solid solution Ag2Al have been determined from the observed grain boundary groove shapes. The thermal conductivity of the solid phase and the thermal conductivity ratio of the liquid phase to solid phase for Ag2Al-28.3 at the %CuAl2 alloy at the melting temperature have also been measured with a radial heat flow apparatus and Bridgman type growth apparatus, separately.

Nonlinear quantum interferometry with Bose condensed atoms

In quantum interferometry, it is vital to control and utilize nonlinear interactions for the achievement of high-precision measurements. Due to their long coherence time and high controllability, ultracold atoms including Bose condensed atoms have been widely used for quantum interferometry. Here, we review recent progress in theoretical studies of quantum interferometry with Bose condensed atoms. In particular, we focus on nonlinear phenomena induced by atom-atom interactions, and how to control and utilize these nonlinear phenomena. With a mean-field description, due to atom-atom interactions, matter-wave solitons appear in the interference patterns, and macroscopic quantum self-trapping exists in Bose-Josephson junctions. With a many-body description, atom-atom in- teractions can generate non-classical entanglement, which can be utilized to achieve high-precision measurements beyond the standard quantum limit.

We used ABEEMon（atom-bond electronegativity equalization method） polarizable force field（ABEEMσπ PFF） method combined with QM and molecular dynamics-free energy perturbation（MD-FEP） methods to investigatethe function of water molecules in hydrolysis process of ImH[trans-Ru（Im）2Cl4]（ICR）. The activation free energiesobtained via MD-FEP calculation are in fair agreement with the experimental data. In addition, QM/MM（ABEEM）rationally describes the charge distributions and the electrostatic interaction between molecules. ABEEMσπ fluctua-ting charge model has the following good characteristics：（1） not only atomic charge regions but also σ,π bond andlone pair charge regions are explicitly represented for a molecule; （2） the region charges are geometry dependent andcalculated from time to time in the dynamic simulation without any iterative procedure so that its performance istime-saving compared with the Drude model and induced dipole model.

A Simplified Chemical Reaction Mechanism for Surrogate Fuel of Aviation Kerosene

n-Decane was chosen as a one-component surrogate fuel to investigate the combustion performance ofRocket Propellant-3（RP-3） aviation kerosene. Sensitivity analysis and the reaction-path mlalysis method were used tosimplify the detailed reaction mechanism of n-decane, and a simplified mechanism including 36 species and 62 ele-mentary reaction steps was obtained. Moreover, 38-step elementary reaction investigated in the reference was simu-lated in the paper. Numlerical simulation method was conducted for both the 62-step and the 38-step reaction me-chanisms using pre-evaporation combustion models. Simultaneously Bunsen bunter for the combustion of premixed,pre-evaporated RP-3 aviation kerosene was designed to verify the simplified mechanism, and the temperature and gascomponent concentrations in the axial and radial directions at different heights were measured. The experimental re-sults revealed that the reaction temperature and the CO2 concentration increased first and then decreased across thea：,：ial positions, but on the contrary for the O2 concentration. The temperature and the O2 concentration distributionsof experimental results are in good agreement with that of numerical simulation results for the 62-step simplifiedreactions, and the CO2 concentration distribution is in general agreement with the numerical data. But the 38-stepsimplified reactions can only predict the change trend for the important parameters which are mentioned *** the contrastive analysis for these two kinds of simplified reactions, the 62-step reactions can more accuratelysimulate the combustion characteristics of RP-3 kerosene. Aud n-decane can be used as a one-component surrogatefuel for RP-3 aviation kerosene.

Synthesis and Anticoagulant Bioactivity Evaluation of 1,2,5-Trisubstituted BenzimidazoleFluorinated Derivatives

Some 1,2,5-trisubstituted benzimidazole fluorinated derivatives were designed and screened by moleculardocking. Five compounds which obtained high scores were selected to synthesize. All the target products were cha-racterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and high resolution mass spectra（HRMS） and preliminarily screened for inhibitoryactivity against thrombin, among which three compounds（5a, 5c and 5e） were evaluated in vitro. The results showedthat compounds 5a, 5c and 5e exhibited better anticoagulant activity than argatroban. Docking simulations demon-strated that these compoands may act as candidates for further studies on thrombin inhibitors.

Abstraction for model checking multi-agent systems

Model checking multi-agent systems （MAS） always suffers from the state explosion problem. In this paper we focus on an abstraction technique which is one of the major methods for overcoming this problem. For a multi-agent system, we present a novel abstraction procedure which reduces the state space by collapsing the global states in the system. The abstraction is automatically computed according to the property to be verified. The resulting abstract system simulates the concrete system, while the universal temporal epistemic properties are preserved. Our abstraction is an over-approximation. If some universal temporal epistemic property is not satisfied, then we need to identify spurious counterexamples. We further show how to reduce complex counterexamples to simple structures, i.e., paths and loops, such that the counterexamples can be checked and the abstraction can be refined efficiently. Finally, we illustrate the abstraction technique with a card game.

Coupling measurement and correction at the SSRF storage ring

Brightness is an important parameter for 3rd generation light source. Correcting the emittance coupling is a realistic way to increase brightness without any additional equipment in a machine under operation. The main sources of emittance coupling are betatron coupling and vertical dispersion. At the SSRF storage ring, tune split and LOCO are used to measure the respective betatron and emittance coupling. Both of these sources can be corrected by skew quadrupoles. By measuring the skew quadrupole-coupling response matrix, betatron coupling can be changed from 0.014% to 2%. But the vertical dispersion changes at the same time. LOCO can find the suitable setting to correct simultaneously the betatron coupling and vertical dispersion. The emittance coupling can be reduced to 0.17% by this method. More simulations show the potential for smaller emittance coupling if more skew quadrupoles are employed.
