Artificial vascular graft(AVG)fistula is widely used for hemodialysis treatment in patients with renal ***,it has poor elasticity and compliance,leading to stenosis and *** ideal artificial blood vessel for dialysis should replicate the structure and components of a real artery,which is primarily maintained by collagen in the extracellular matrix(ECM)of arterial *** have revealed that in hepatitis B virus(HBV)-induced liver fibrosis,hepatic stellate cells(HSCs)become hyperactive and produce excessive ECM ***,mechanical stimulation can encourage ECM secretion and remodeling of a fiber *** on the above factors,we transfected HSCs with the hepatitis B viral X(HBX)gene for simulating the process of HBV ***,these HBX-HSCs were implanted into a polycaprolactonepolyurethane(PCL-PU)bilayer scaffold in which the inner layer is dense and the outer layer consists of pores,which was mechanically stimulated to promote the secretion of collagen nanofiber from the HBX-HSCs and to facilitate crosslinking with the *** obtained an ECM-PCL-PU composite bionic blood vessel that could act as access for dialysis after ***,the vessel scaffold was implanted into a rabbit’s neck arteriovenous fistula *** exhibited strong tensile strength and smooth blood flow and formed autologous blood vessels in the rabbit’s *** study demonstrates the use of human cells to create biomimetic dialysis blood vessels,providing a novel approach for creating clinical vascular access for dialysis.

Revealing the role of honokiol in human glioma cells by RNA-seq analysis

Background:Glioma is a kind of tumor that easily deteriorates and originates from glial cells in nerve *** is a bisphenol compound that is an essential monomeric compound extracted from the roots and bark of Magnoliaceae *** also has anti-infection,antitumor,and immunomodulatory *** this study,we found that honokiol induces cell apoptosis in the human glioma cell lines U87-MG and ***,the mechanism through which honokiol regulates glioma cell apoptosis is still ***:We performed RNA-seq analysis of U251-MG cells treated with honokiol and control ***-protein interaction(PPI)network analysis was performed,and the 10 top hub unigenes were examined via real-time quantitative ***,MAPK signaling and ferroptosis were detected via western ***:332 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were found,comprising 163 increased and 169 decreased *** of the DEGs revealed that various biological processes were enriched,including‘response to hypoxia’,‘cerebellum development cellular response to hypoxia,’‘iron ion binding,’‘oxygen transporter activity,’‘oxygen binding,’‘ferric iron binding,’and‘structural constituent of cytoskeleton.’Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)pathway analysis revealed that the DEGs were enriched in the following pathways:‘mitogen-activated protein kinases(MAPK)’,‘Hypoxia-inducible factor 1(HIF-1)’,‘ferroptosis,’‘Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor(PPAR),’‘Phosphatidylinositol-4,5-bisphosphate 3-kinase(PI3K)-protein kinase B(Akt),’and‘phagosome.’Among these pathways,the MAPK signaling pathway and ferroptosis were veriﬁ***:This study revealed the potential mechanism by which honokiol induces apoptosis and provided a comprehensive analysis of DEGs in honokiol-treated U251-MG cells and the associated signaling *** data could lead to new ideas for future research and therapy for patients with glioma.

Deep-learning enabled atomic insights into the phase transitions and nanodomain topology of lead-free(K,Na)NbO_(3) ferroelectrics

Lead-free K_(x)Na_(1-x)NbO_(3)(KNN)perovskites have garnered increasing attention due to their exceptional ferropiezoelectric properties,which are effectively tuned via polymorphic structures and domain ***,atomic insights into the underlying nanomechanisms governing the ferroelectricity of KNNs amidst varying factors such as composition,phase,and domain are still ***,we perform molecular dynamics simulations of phase transitions and domain dynamics for KNNs with various K/Na ratios(x=0.25∼1.0)by using ab-initio accuracy deep learning potential(DP).As a demonstration of its transferability,the newly developed DP model shows quantum accuracy in terms of the equation of states,elastic constants,and phonon dispersion relations for various KNbO_(3)and K_(0.5)Na_(0.5)NbO_(3).furthermore,intricate temperature-dependent phase transitions and domain formation of KNNs are extensively and quantitatively *** indicate that for KNNs with compositions x ranging from 0.25 to 1.0,the paraelectric-to-ferroelectric phase transition of KNNs is driven primarily by the order-disorder effect,while the displacive effect is dominant in the subsequent ferroelectric phase ***,flux-closure or herringbone-like nanodomain patterns arranged with 90°domain walls formed close to the experimental *** analyses reveal that favorable 90°domain wall formation becomes more challenging with increasing Na content due to distinct oxygen octahedron distortion arising from the different ionic radii of K/Na *** is envisioned that the combination of unified DP and atomistic simulations will help offer a robust solution for more accurate and efficient in silico explorations of complex structural,thermodynamic,and ferroelectric properties for relevant energy storage and conversion materials.

Effect of hot isostatic pressure on the microstructure and tensile properties of γ'-strengthened superalloy fabricated through induction-assisted directed energy deposition

The microstructure characteristics and strengthening mechanism of Inconel738LC(IN-738LC) alloy prepared by using induction-assisted directed energy deposition(IDED) were elucidated through the investigation of samples subjected to IDED under 1050℃ preheating with and without hot isostatic pressing(HIP,1190℃,105 MPa,and 3 h).Results show that the as-deposited sample mainly consisted of epitaxial columnar crystals and inhomogeneously distributed γ’ phases in interdendritic and dendritic core *** HIP,grain morphology changed negligibly,whereas the size of the γ’ phase became increasingly *** further heat treatment(HT,1070℃,2 h + 845℃,24 h),the γ’ phase in the as-deposited and HIPed samples presented a bimodal size distribution,whereas that in the as-deposited sample showed a size that remained *** comparison of tensile properties revealed that the tensile strength and uniform elongation of the HIP + HTed sample increased by 5% and 46%,respectively,due to the synergistic deformation of bimodal γ’phases,especially large cubic γ’ ***,the relationship between phase transformations and plastic deformations in the IDEDed sample was discussed on the basis of generalized stability theory in terms of the trade-off between thermodynamics and kinetics.

Progress on the program of Si-compatible two-dimensional semiconductor materials and devices

Two-dimensional(2D) materials are at the forefront of innovation, heralding a new era for nextgeneration electronics and optoelectronics. These materials are distinguished by their unique structural characteristics: they have no hanging bonds on their surface, exhibit weakened electrostatic shielding in the Z-direction, and boast atomic thickness in their monolayers. These features have led to groundbreaking discoveries in electrical, optical, and magnetic properties, paving the way for advancements in low-power electronics, valleytronics, infrared detectors, and memory devices. Despite these promising developments,Si-based technologies continue to dominate the landscape of next-generation electronics and optoelectronics,as well as heterogeneous integration. In response to this ongoing evolution, the National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC) initiated a major program in 2021 dubbed “Si-compatible two-dimensional semiconductor materials and devices”. This study reviews the progress made under the NSFC Program,spotlighting its main achievements and outlining key future research directions. Additionally, it sheds light on the challenges that researchers in the 2D domain face, particularly in developing Si-compatible 2D technologies.

Aromatic hydrocarbons generally refer to compounds containing benzene *** types of isomers can be formed by replacing hydrogen atoms on the benzene *** this paper,an aromatic-hydrocarbon-inspired modular robot(AHIMR)is *** robot can be reassembled into different configurations suitable for various task requirements.A vision-based docking system is designed for the *** system primarily consists of two stages:a remote guidance stage and a precise docking *** the remote guidance stage,an object module is identified using an illumination adaptive target recognition algorithm,and then the active module moves to the docking area through communication with *** the precise docking stage,the active module calculates the relative pose with the object module using a perspective-n-point method and dynamically adjusts its posture to *** this process,a Kalman filter is used to reduce target occlusion and jitter *** addition,the docking system feasibility is verified via several simulation *** module docking accuracy is controlled within 0.01 m,which meets the reconfiguration task requirements of the *** the AHIMR submodule docking experiment,the active module accurately moves to the expected position with a docking success rate of 95%.

Identification of rural courtyards’utilization status using deep learning and machine learning methods on unmanned aerial vehicle images in north China

The issue of unoccupied or abandoned homesteads(courtyards)in China emerges given the increasing aging population,rapid urbanization and massive rural-urban *** the aspect of rural vitalization,land-use planning,and policy making,determining the number of unoccupied courtyards is *** and questionnaire-based surveys were currently the main approaches,but these traditional methods were often expensive and laborious.A new workflow is explored using deep learning and machine learning algorithms on unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)***,features of the built environment were extracted using deep learning to evaluate the courtyard management,including extracting complete or collapsed farmhouses by Alexnet,detecting solar water heaters by YOLOv5s,calculating green looking ratio(GLR)by *** precisions exceeded 98%.Then,seven machine learning algorithms(Adaboost,binomial logistic regression,neural network,random forest,support vector machine,decision trees,and XGBoost algorithms)were applied to identify the rural courtyards’utilization *** Adaboost algorithm showed the best performance with the comprehensive consideration of most metrics(Accuracy:0.933,Precision:0.932,Recall:0.984,F1-score:0.957).Results showed that identifying the courtyards’utilization statuses based on the courtyard built environment is *** is transferable and cost-effective for large-scale village surveys,and may contribute to the intensive and sustainable approach to rural land use.

Real-time Operation Optimization in Active Distribution Networks Based on Multi-agent Deep Reinforcement Learning

The increasing integration of intermittent renewable energy sources(RESs)poses great challenges to active distribution networks(ADNs),such as frequent voltage *** paper proposes a novel ADN strategy based on multiagent deep reinforcement learning(MADRL),which harnesses the regulating function of switch state transitions for the realtime voltage regulation and loss *** deploying the calculated optimal switch topologies,the distribution network operator will dynamically adjust the distributed energy resources(DERs)to enhance the operation performance of ADNs based on the policies trained by the MADRL *** to the model-free characteristics and the generalization of deep reinforcement learning,the proposed strategy can still achieve optimization objectives even when applied to similar but unseen ***,integrating parameter sharing(PS)and prioritized experience replay(PER)mechanisms substantially improves the strategic performance and *** framework has been tested on modified IEEE 33-bus,IEEE 118-bus,and three-phase unbalanced 123-bus *** results demonstrate the significant real-time regulation capabilities of the proposed strategy.
