The placenta plays a crucial role in successful mammalian *** animals possess a semi-invasive placenta characterized by a highly vascularized structure formed by maternal endometrial caruncles and fetal placental cotyledons,essential for full-term fetal *** cow placenta harbors at least two trophoblast cell populations:uninucleate(UNC)and binucleate(BNC)***,the limited capacity to elucidate the transcriptomic dynamics of the placental natural environment has resulted in a poor understanding of both the molecular and cellular interactions between trophoblast cells and niches,and the molecular mechanisms governing trophoblast differentiation and *** fill this knowledge gap,we employed Stereo-seq to map spatial gene expression patterns at near single-cell resolution in the cow placenta at 90 and 130 days of gestation,attaining high-resolution,spatially resolved gene expression *** on clustering and cell marker gene expression analyses,key transcription factors,including YBX1 and NPAS2,were shown to regulate the heterogeneity of trophoblast cell *** communication and trajectory analysis provided a framework for understanding cell-cell interactions and the differentiation of trophoblasts into BNCs in the placental *** analysis of cell trajectories identified a set of genes involved in regulation of trophoblast ***,spatial modules and co-variant genes that help shape specific tissue structures were ***,these findings provide foundational insights into important biological pathways critical to the placental development and function in cows.

Impact of Local Climate Zones on the Urban Heat and Dry Islands in Beijing:Spatial Heterogeneity and Relative Contributions

Based on the building height and density data on a 100-m resolution,hourly 2-m temperature and humidity data at83 automatic weather stations,and gridded local climate zone(LCZ)data on a 120-m resolution in urban Beijing in2020,this study first employs the semivariogram combined with building parameters to calculate spatial correlations and has identified an LCZ grid resolution of 500 m suitable for best usage of the available observation ***,how the spatially heterogeneous LCZs affect and contribute to the canopy urban heat island intensity(UHII)and urban dry island intensity(UDII)are quantitatively *** is found that UHII is high in winter and low in summer with a unimodal diurnal variation while UDI is low in winter but high in summer with a bimodal diurnal *** LCZ with compact mid-rise(open high-rise)buildings exhibits the highest UHII(UDII),followed by the compact high-rise(compact low-rise),while the LCZ of scattered trees presents both the lowest UHII and the lowest *** most significant difference in the UHII(UDII)among the nine LCZ types in the urban area of Beijing is2.62℃(1.1 g kg^(-1)).Area-weighted averaging analysis reveals that the open mid-rise LCZ is the most significant contributor to the UHII(UDII),immediately followed by compact mid-rise(open low-rise),with the least contribution from bare rock or paved(scattered trees).The results also indicate that beyond the intrinsic physical properties of the LCZs of a city,their area proportions cannot be overlooked in evaluating their impact on the UHI and *** quantitatively findings could help urban planners to create a livable urban climate and environment by adjusting the relevant land use.

Role of inflammatory lipid and fatty acid metabolic abnormalities induced by plastic additives exposure in childhood asthma

Lipid metabolism play an essential role in occurrence and development of asthma,and it can be disturbed by phthalate esters(PAEs)and organophosphate fame retardants(OPFRs).As a chronic infammatory respiratory disease,the occurrence risk of childhood asthma is increased by PAEs and OPFRs exposure,but it remains not entirely clear how PAEs and OPFRs contribute the onset and progress of the *** have profiled the serum levels of PAEs and OPFRs congeners by liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry,and its relationships with the dysregulation of lipid metabolism in asthmatic,bronchitic(acute infammation)and healthy(non-infammation)*** PAEs and nine OPFRs congeners were found in the serum of children(1–5 years old)from Shenzhen,and their total median levels were 615.16 ng/m L and 17.06 ng/m L,***,the serum levels of mono-methyl phthalate(MMP),tri-propyl phosphate(TPP)and tri-n-butyl phosphate(TNBP)were significant higher in asthmatic children than in healthy and bronchitic children as ***-one characteristic lipids and fatty acids of asthma were screened by machine-learning random forest model based on serum lipidome data,and the alterations of infammatory characteristic lipids and fatty acids including palmitic acids,12,13-Di HODE,14,21-Di HDHA,prostaglandin D2 and Lyso PA(18:2)showed significant correlated with high serum levels of MMP,TPP and *** results imply PAEs and OPFRs promote the occurrence of childhood asthma via disrupting infammatory lipid and fatty acid metabolism,and provide a novel sight for better understanding the effects of plastic additives on childhood asthma.

This study aimed to examine the effects of inoculating Fritillaria taipaiensis *** leaves with different strains ofpotassium-solubilizing bacteria (KSB), or combinations thereof, focusing on aspects of photosynthesis and physiologicaland biochemical characteristics. At present, some studies have only studied the rhizosphere microbialcommunity characteristics of F. taipaiensis and have not discussed the effects of different microbial species on thegrowth promotion of F. taipaiensis. This paper will start from the perspective of potassium-solubilizing bacteria toconduct an in-depth study. Seed cultivation commenced at the base with three different KSBs in early October2022. The growth of F. taipaiensis leaves was observed after different treatments. Both single-plant and compoundinoculations were executed. A total of eight treatment groups were established, with aseptic fertilizer and sterilizedsoil functioning as the control group. The results reveal that intercellular CO_(2) concentration (Ci), stomatal conductance(Gs), and transpiration rate (Tr) were at their apex in the S7 group. Most treatment groups exhibited anincrease in leaf area, photosynthetic pigment content, soluble sugar, soluble protein, Superoxide Dismutase(SOD), Peroxidase (POD), Catalase (CAT) activities, and proline content. The expression levels of POD, SOD,and CAT genes were evaluated, following inoculation with different KSB. The highest was the S7 group. Theinoculation with various KSB, or combinations thereof, appears to bolster the growth and development of F. *** composite inoculation group S7, comprising Bacillus cereus, Burkholderia cepacia, and Bacillus subtilis,manifested the most favorable impact on the diverse indices of F. taipaiensis, thereby furnishing valuableinsights for the selection of bacterial fertilizer in the artificial cultivation of F. taipaiensis.

A Transient-Pressure-Based Numerical Approach for Interlayer Identification in Sand Reservoirs

Almost all sandstone reservoirs contain interlayers. The identification and characterization of these interlayers iscritical for minimizing the uncertainty associated with oilfield development and improving oil and gas *** interlayers outside wells using identification methods based on logging data and machine learning isdifficult and seismic-based identification techniques are expensive. Herein, a numerical model based on seepageand well-testing theories is introduced to identify interlayers using transient pressure data. The proposed modelrelies on the open-source MATLAB Reservoir Simulation Toolbox. The effects of the interlayer thickness, position,and width on the pressure response are thoroughly investigated. A procedure for inverting interlayer parametersin the reservoir using the bottom-hole pressure is also proposed. This method uses only transient pressuredata during well testing and can effectively identify the interlayer distribution near the wellbore at an extremelylow cost. The reliability of the model is verified using effective oilfield examples.

The exploitation of new green polymerization avenues for the effective synthesis of polymers by reversible-deactivation radical polymerization plays a critical role in pursuing the development of polymeric *** this work,serials of deep eutectic solvents(DES)with intermolecular-hydrogen-bonding interaction were constructed as catalysts and medium for actuating reversible complexation-mediated polymerization(RCMP)for the first time,yielding methacrylate polymers with high monomer conversion and narrow dispersion molecular weight in both water and oil *** mechanism and elementary reaction of RCMP were explored deeply,revealing that the complexation of initiator with DES to generate radicals was a ratecontrolling step and intermolecular-hydrogen-bond was primary factor to influence polymerization ***,the insights of density functional theory calculations revealed that negative electrostatic potential ensured nucleophilic *** investigation demonstrated the considerable potential of DES for RCMP,which is anticipated for other polymerization applications as a novel medium mode.

Oral squamous cell carcinoma(OSCC)is known as one of the most malignant tumors with high recurrence and fatality *** poor tumor-targeting ability of traditional chemotherapeutic drugs has been a grand challenge for anti-OSCC *** that,a large quantity of tumor associated macrophages in OSCC tissues further diminish the anti-tumor effects of these ***,we produced a therapeutic nano drug delivery system(FA-PEG-PLA-JQ1)through encapsulating JQ1[a small-molecule inhibitor of bromodomain containing protein 4(BRD4)]into the folic acid(FA)-modified nanoparticle(PEG-PLA),which could prolong the half-life of JQ1 and target the tumor *** then,JQ1 released from this nanoparticle could prevent OSCC growth inducing tumor cell apoptosis,inhibiting tumor angiogenesis and the polarization of M2 type *** conclusion,our date demonstrated the therapeutic benefits of FA-PEG-PLA-JQ1 against OSCC in vivo or in vitro,which could be a novel treatment strategy for OSCC in coming days.

Enhancing the electrocatalytic performance of nitrate reduction to ammonia by in-situ nitrogen leaching

Electrochemical nitrate reduction reaction (NITRR) is regarded as a “two birds-one stone” method for the treatment of nitrate contaminant in polluted water and the synthesis of valuable ammonia, which is retarded by the lack of highly reactive and selective electrocatalysts .Herein, for the first time, nickel foam supported Co_(4) N was designed as a high-performance NITRR catalyst by an in-situ nonmetal leaching-induced *** the optimal potential, the Co_(4) N/NF catalyst achieves ultra-high Faraday efficiency and NH_(3) selectivity of 95.4% and 99.4%, *** situ X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS), together with other experiments powerfully reveal that the nitrogen vacancies produced by nitrogen leaching are stable and play a key role in boosting nitrate reduction to *** calculations confirm that Co_(4) N with abundant nitrogen vacancies can optimize the adsorption energies of NO_(3)^(-) and intermediates, lower the free energy (Δ G ) of the potential-determining step (*NH_(3) to NH_(3) ) and inhibit the formation of N-containing *** addition, we also conclude that the nitrogen vacancies can stabilize the adsorbed hydrogen, making H_(2) quite difficult to produce, and lowering ΔG from *NO to *NOH, which facilitates the selective reduction of *** study reveals significant insights about the in-situ nonmetal leaching to enhance the NITRR activity.

Cl- ions accelerating interface charge transfer in a Si/In2S3 Faradaic junction photocathode for solar seawater splitting

Photoelectrocatalytic seawater splitting is a promising low-cost method to produce green hydrogen in a large scale. The effects of Cl-ions in seawater on the performance of a photoanode have been reported in previous studies. However, few researches have been done on the roles of Cl-ions in a photocathode. Herein, for the first time, we find that Cl-ions in the electrolyte improve the photocurrent of a Si/In2S3photocathode by 50% at-0.6 VRHE. An in-situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy（XPS） characterization combined with the time-of-flight secondary-ion mass spectrometry by simulating photoelectrochemical conditions was used to investigate the interface charge transfer mechanism. The results suggest that there is an In2+3S3–x（OH）2xlayer on the surface of In2S3in the phosphate buffer solution（PBS） electrolyte, which plays a role as an interface charge transfer mediator in the Si/In2S3photocathode. The In2+3S3–x（OH）2xsurface layer becomes In2+3S3–x（Cl）2xin the PBS electrolyte with NaCl and accelerates the charge transfer rate at the In2S3/electrolyte interface. These results offer a new concept of regulating interface charge transfer mediator to enhance the performance of photoelectrocatalytic seawater splitting for hydrogen production.
