The presence of endogenous neural stem/progenitor cells in the adult mammalian brain suggests that the central nervous system can be repaired and regenerated after ***,whether it is possible to stimulate neurogenesis and reconstruct cortical layers II to VI in non-neurogenic regions,such as the cortex,remains *** this study,we implanted a hyaluronic acid collagen gel loaded with basic fibroblast growth factor into the motor cortex immediately following traumatic *** findings reveal that this gel effectively stimulated the proliferation and migration of endogenous neural stem/progenitor cells,as well as their differentiation into mature and functionally integrated ***,these new neurons reconstructed the architecture of cortical layers II to VI,integrated into the existing neural circuitry,and ultimately led to improved brain *** findings offer novel insight into potential clinical treatments for traumatic cerebral cortex injuries.

Potassium ions and cyano group modified g-C3N4 for effective generation of H2O2 through two-electron oxygen reduction

Potassium ions （K+） doped graphitic carbon nitride （g-C3N4） was prepared by a thermal etching method using potassium hydroxide （KOH） as an ion *** transform infrared spectroscopy （FTIR） and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS）results showed that the generation of the cyano group was detected while introducing K+.Under simulated sunlight irradiation,the sample with a K+doping amount of 10%showed the highest hydrogen peroxide （H2O2） generation rate of2,140.2μmol *** apparent quantum yield （AQY） at 400 nm and the solar-to-chemical conversion （SCC） are 4.35%and1.23%,respectively.K+acted as a bridge between g-C3N4layers,which enhanced charge transfer ***,the cyano group enhanced the adsorption capacity of protons （H+） and promoted the yield of *** catalyst exhibited excellent photocatalytic stability based on four-cycle *** addition,a mechanism study showed that superoxide radicals （·O2-）were the most important active species in the reaction *** production of H2O2was achieved through consecutive single-electron *** study deepens the understanding of the oxygen reduction reaction process and opens up a new venue for improving H2O2generation.

Situation-adaptive neural network for fast pre-computing image enhancement

As intelligent vision tasks become more widespread, enhancing image quality before further computational analysis is crucial. Recently, deep learning has shown potential for automated pre-computing enhancement, but it typically requires substantial computational resources and is hard to adapt to in multiple situations without *** practice, image enhancement often demands flexible adjustments based on different situations and subsequent computation devices, such as optical computing. Therefore,we propose SAEnhancer, a situation-adaptive neural network for fast pre-computing image enhancement. It learns from a small sample set to achieve personalized and adaptive enhancements for various situations without re-training,using semantic-aware embedding for precise color adjustments, surpassing traditional 3D lookup tables (LUTs), and enhancing computational effectiveness in intelligent vision applications.

In non-small cell lung cancers,the non-squamous and squamous subtypes（nsqNSCLC and sqNSCLC） exhibit disparities in pathophysiology,tumor immunology,and potential genomic correlates affecting responses to immune checkpoint inhibitor（ICI）-based *** our inhouse training cohort（n=85）,the presence of the LRP1B deleterious mutation（LRP1B-del） was associated with longer and shorter progression-free survival（PFS） on ICIs alone in nsqNSCLCs and sqNSCLCs,respectively(Pinteraction=0.008).These results were validated using a larger public ICI cohort(n=208,Pinteraction<0.001).Multiplex immunofluorescence staining revealed an association between LRP1B-del and increased and decreased numbers of tumor-infiltrating CD8+T cells in nsqNSCLCs（P=0.040） and sqNSCLCs（P=0.014）,*** the POPLAR/OAK cohort,nsqNSCLCs with LRP1B-del demonstrated improved PFS benefits from atezolizumab over docetaxel(hazard ratio（HR）=0.70,P=0.046),whereas this benefit was negligible in those without LRP1B-del（HR=1.05,P=0.64）.Conversely,sqNSCLCs without LRP1B-del benefited more from atezolizumab（HR=0.60,P=0.002） than those with LRP1B-del（HR=1.30,P=0.31）.Consistent results were observed in the in-house CHOICE-01 cohort,in which nsqNSCLCs with LRP1B-del and sqNSCLCs without LRP1B-del benefited more from toripalimab plus chemotherapy than from chemotherapy alone(Pinteraction=0.008).This multi-cohort study delineates the antithetical impacts of LRP1B-del in nsqNSCLCs and sqNSCLCs on predicting the benefits from ICI alone or with chemotherapy over chemotherapy *** findings highlight the distinct clinical utility of LRP1B-del in guiding treatment choices for nsqNSCLCs and sqNSCLCs,emphasizing the necessity for a detailed analysis based on pathological subtypes when investigating biomarkers for cancer therapeutics.

Microstructures and properties of Cu-Cr-W composite coatings fabricated by surface mechanical alloying technique

Cu-Cr-W composite coatings were prepared by mechanical alloying(MA)method using different powder ratios,rotational speeds and milling *** micro structures and chemical compositions of as-synthesized coatings were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and energy-dispersive spectroscopy(EDS).Phases of ball-milled powders were identified by X-ray diffraction(XRD).The results indicate that the coating fabricated with powder ratio of 40 wt%Cu-Cr-W has better surface and cross-sectional microstructures and higher *** comparisons of cross-sectional micro structures of the coatings fabricated at different rotational speeds suggest that rotational speed of 300 r·min-1is the optimal for fabrication the coating,and the optimal milling time for the formation of coating is 7 *** results of microhardness test show that the hardness of the substrate is largely improved because of the as-fabricated *** results of the friction and wear tests indicate that the wear resistance of the copper substrate is improved after the deposition of Cu-Cr-W coating on *** coating fabricated for 7 h exhibits the lowest friction coefficient,indicating its favorable friction and wear *** formation mechanism of the coating was *** to the investigations in this work,the Cu-Cr-W coating fabricated by MA method is considered to be effective to reinforce the copper substrate.

Optimization of submerged entry nozzle parameters for ultra-high casting speed continuous casting mold of billet

Controlling the flow behavior in the mold in an appropriate way is the basis for realizing the billet ultra-high speed continuous *** on the new proposed physical water modeling experiment considering the effects of solidified shell and hydrostatic pressure,the flow behavior in the mold with cross section of 160 mm 9160 mm during continuous casting of billet is regulated by optimizing the inner diameters and immersion depths of submerged entry nozzle at the ultra-high casting speeds of 5.0–6.5 m/*** results show that under the premise of no slag entrainment,as well as uniform coverage and keeping good fluidity of liquid slag layer on the top free surface of the fluid in the mold,the appropriate parameters of submerged entry nozzle under the ultra-high casting speed of billet are 50 mm in inner diameter,95 mm in outer diameter and 180 mm in immersion *** on the basis of the obtained parameters of submerged entry nozzle,it can be known that the reasonable ranges of level fluctuation and impacting depth of the stream in the mold are about 0.82-1.11 and 593-617 mm,respectively.

Molecular materials showing synergetic coupling of near-infrared （NIR） fluorescence and spin-crossover （SCO） are promisingly applicable in in-vivo bioimaging,temperature sensing,and spintronic *** the related study faces formidable *** this work we graft the NIR fluorophore xanthene onto the dipyridyl substituted triazole ligand and construct a new Febased SCO material,{FeⅡ（ddxc-abpt）2[N（CN）2]2}(1,ddxc-abpt:（E）-4-(((3,5-di（pyridin-2-yl）-4H-1,2,4-triazol-4-yl)imino)methyl)-N,N-diethyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-xanthen-6-amine).Magnetic studies indicate that compound 1 exhibits thermally induced SCO property in both the solid and solution ***-temperature fluorescence emission spectra reveal a remarkable 7-fold increase in photoluminescence intensity upon the transition from the low-spin state at 110 K to the high-spin state at 280 K,which is the record of all reported coupled fluorescence-SCO ***-temperature ultraviolet-visible （UV-Vis）absorption spectra show a significant change in absorption intensity within the fluorescence emission window,consistent with the F?rster resonance energy transfer （FRET） ***-dependent density functional theory （TD-DFT） calculations demonstrate that the strong coupling is attributed to disrupted energy transfer between the xanthene fluorophore and high-spin *** work provides a feasible approach for expanding the synergetic SCO-fluorescence materials to the NIR-Iwavelength region,and hopefully contributes to the applications of tunable NIR-SCO molecule-based sensors and devices.

Impregnating photo-stable gold precursor onto uncalcined TS-1 to boost catalytic hydro-oxidation of propane

Immobilizing highly dispersed Au nanoparticles onto titanium silicalite-1 (TS-1) by a simple impregnation method under light is still a challenging *** this work,a high photostable Au precursor protected by thiol ligands was firstly synthesized,and the as-prepared Au precursor displayed excellent stability under light for over 30 days,while the Au precursor without thiol ligands formed precipitates after just 2 h under ***,the Au precursor protected by thiol ligands was immobilized on the external surface of uncalcined TS-1 (i.e.,TS-1-B) by the incipient wetness impregnation method (IWI method) to prepare Au/TS-1-B *** activity of as-prepared Au/TS-1-B catalyst in the hydro-oxidation of propane to acetone was 1.4 times higher than that of the catalyst prepared by the deposition-precipitation urea method (DPU method).The structures of the Au/TS-1-B catalysts prepared by different methods were analyzed by multiple *** to the Au/TS-1-B catalyst prepared by the DPU method,the Au/TS-1-B catalyst synthesized by the IWI method exhibited a narrower size distribution of Au nanoparticles and had more small Au particles (<2 nm),which is the main reason for its superior ***,the effects of gold loadings,reaction temperature and Si/Ti molar ratio on the catalytic performance of the Au/TS-1-B catalyst prepared by the IWI method were also *** addition,the Au/TS-1-B catalyst prepared by the IWI method also exhibited excellent stability for over 140 h.

Phase-field method for growth of iron whiskers in the presence of CO gas convection

A phase-field model for growth of iron whiskers that includes convection around a particle was investigated during the process of fluidized pre-reduction. In the simulations, the phase-field method was coupled with flow field and reduction of iron oxide particles. The results showed that the reduction rate at local place had significant effects on the iron ions diffusion and the iron whiskers were more easily grown on the area containing low mole fraction of oxygen. The growth of iron whiskers in the model was investigated in two important simple situations: a velocity change flow and a CO concentration change flow. Because of high reduction rate and low surface energy, iron whiskers were more easily grown on the windward surface and the length of iron whiskers increased with gas velocity increasing. However, both the length and numbers of iron whiskers increased with CO concentration increasing due to the more nucleation site of iron whiskers created by CO adsorbed. When the gas velocity is higher than 0.3 m/s or CO mole fraction is high than 0.6, the nucleation incubation time would be rapidly decreased, which could give suggestions to control the operational parameters in the fluidized pre-reduction process.

A new method for identifying flow pattern of spouted fluidized bed by coupling Hilbert-Huang transform characteristics of differential pressure signals in different zones

On a cold spouted fluidized bed,this study compares the characteristic differences in intrinsic mode function(IMF)energy and Hilbert–Huang spectrum between the spout zone and annulus zone under different combinations of spouted gas and fluidized gas flow rates for five typical flow *** energy distribution characteristics under different flow patterns are also *** Hilbert–Huang spectrum and IMF energy of pressure difference signals exhibit distinct variations in different zones as the flow pattern ***,there exists a correlation between the energy in the middle-frequency range and the flow *** the K-means algorithm,the middle-frequency range energy of IMFs in the spout zone and annulus zone is subjected to clustering analysis,leading to the identification of partition boundaries for each flow *** on this,a flow pattern identification method of spouted fluidized bed coupled with middle-frequency range energy in spout zone and annulus zone is proposed,which has very high identification accuracy.
