Interlayer engineering for titanium clad steel by hot roll bonding

Hot roll bonding was carried out between commercially pure titanium TA2 and high-strength low-alloy steel Q390 using pure Nb or Mo interlayer at 950 ~C with a total reduction ratio of 86.7%. Interfacial microstructure and bonding properties of titanium clad steel plates were investigated by electron microscopy and mechanical tests. The results showed β-Ti, TiC and Fe2Ti reaction phases were generated at Ti/steel interface for the clad plates with no interlayer. Inserting Nb or Mo interlayer can effectively suppress the formation of brittle phases, while the weak bonding joint transferred to Nb/steel or Mo/steel interface. And some micro-voids were found at the interface of Nb/steel and Mo/steel. The improved shear strength of clad plates with Nb interlayer might be attributed to the elimination of brittle phases at bonding interface. The small size and little quantities of the micro-voids at Nb/steel interface had a relatively weak effect on shear strength. However, the large number and big size of micro-voids were responsible for the degradation of shear strength for the clad plates with Mo interlayer.

Effect of Substructure on Toughness of Lath Martensite/Bainite Mixed Structure in Low-Carbon Steels

The quantitative analysis of substructure in the martensite/bainite mixed structure, which is obtained from low-carbon NiCrMoV steels under different cooling conditions, was made by means of optical microscope （OM）, scanning electron microscope （SEM）, electron backscatter diffraction （EBSD）, and transmission electron microscope （TEM）, in order to research the effect on toughness. The test results indicate that the toughness of the steel is en- hanced with the decrease in the packet and block size under the condition of the same prior austenite grain size mixed with different ratios of martensite and bainite while the lath width is about 0.38μm. The calculation shows that both the packet and block boundaries have the same hindering effect on crack extension. furthermore, the effect of the block width on impact energy is much larger than that of the packet. Therefore, the block can be used as microstruc- tural substructure to affect the toughness in low-carbon martensite steels, suggesting that the block size is ＂the effective grain size＂ for controlling toughness.

Effect of Tempering Temperature on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Steel Containing Ni of 9%

Mechanical properties of quenching,intercritical quenching and tempering （QLT） treated steel containing Ni of 9% were evaluated from specimens subject to various tempering temperatures. The detailed microstructures of steel containing Ni of 9% at different tempering temperatures were observed by optical microscope （OM） and transmission electron microscope （TEM）. The volume fraction of austenite was estimated by XRD. The results show that high strength and cryogenic toughness of steel containing Ni of 9% are obtained when the tempering temperature are between 540 and 580 ℃. The microstructure keeps the dual phase lamellar structure after the intercritical quenching and there is cementite created in the Ni-rich constituents when tempering temperature is 540 ℃. When tempering temperatures are between 560 and 580 ℃,the reversed austenites （γ′） grow up and the dual phase lamellar structure is not clear. The γ′ becomes instable at 600 ℃. When tempered at temperature ranging from 500 to 520 ℃,the increase of dislocation density in the lamellar matrix makes both tensile strength and yield strength decrease. When tempered at 540 ℃ and higher temperature,the yield strength decreases continuously because the C and alloying elements in the matrix are absorbed by the cementite and the γ′,so the yield ratio is decreased by the γ′. There are two toughness mechanisms at different tempering temperatures. One is that the precipitation of cementite absorbs the carbon in the steel which plays a major role in improving cryogenic toughness at lower temperature. Another is that the γ′ and the purified matrix become major role at higher tempering temperature. When the tempering temperature is 600 ℃,the stability of γ′ is decreased quickly,even the transformation takes place at room temperature,which results in a sharp decrease of Charpy-V impact energy at 77 K. The tempering temperature range is enlarged by the special distribution of cementite and the lamellar structure.

Rho-associated kinase（ROCK） is a key regulatory protein involved in inflammatory secretion in microglia in the central nervous *** previous studies showed that ROCK inhibition enhances phagocytic activity in microglia through the extracellular signal-regulated kinase（ERK） signaling pathway,but its effect on microglial migration was ***,in this study,we investigated the effects of the ROCK inhibitors Y27632 and fasudil on the migratory activity of primary cultured microglia isolated from the spinal cord,and we examined the underlying *** microglia were treated with Y27632,fasudil and/or the ERK inhibitor *** morphology was observed by *** chambers were used to assess cell *** levels were measured by incell western blot assay.Y27632 and fasudil increased microglial migration,and the microglia were irregularly shaped and had many small *** inhibitors also upregulated the levels of phosphorylated ERK *** ERK inhibitor U0126 suppressed these effects of Y27632 and *** findings suggest that the ROCK inhibitors Y27632 and fasudil promote microglial migration in the spinal cord through the ERK signaling pathway.

Radioactive tritium leakage from high-pressure storage vessels is a common nuclear leakage *** leakage conditions have different effects on tritium diffusion,resulting in different degrees of radioactive *** study focuses on tritium leakage from high-pressure storage vessels and analyzes the influence of different leakage orifice shapes,leakage positions,and the presence of obstacles in the scene space on tritium leakage *** results show that there is little difference in the radial diffusion velocity of tritium gas along the jet axis between circular and square leakage *** radial diffusion velocity of tritium gas in the long-axis direction of the rectangular leakage orifice is larger than that in the short-axis direction,and the larger the aspect ratio of the rectangle is,the greater the difference is in the diffusion *** addition,leakage from the storage vessel below the air inlet is beneficial to the dilution of tritium,whereas leakage from the air vents leads to a slow decrease in the tritium *** obstacles present in the tritium scene space hinder the migration of tritium gas and prolong the time for the tritium concentration to reach *** study provides a theoretical basis for the disposal of tritium in tritium leakage accidents by analyzing the influence of different leakage conditions in storage vessels on tritium gas diffusion.
