The purpose of this study is to establish a system for the prediction of the pests’risk level in a roses greenhouse by applying Artificial Neural Networks(ANNs)and an Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System(ANFIS).Pests in roses greenhouses are known to be fatal to plants if not detected at a premature *** detection could avoid huge agronomic and eco-nomic ***,it could be a difficult task to *** complexities arising from the interactions between variables influencing the development could be a barrier to fulfill the previously mentioned *** output of the developed system represents the next day?s risk level of Western flower Thrips(WFT)(Frankliniella occidentalis)in a roses *** explanatory variables,such as internal temperature,internal humidity,today’s pest risk level and human intervention have been considered for this *** main contributions of this study are three fold;providing a daily estimate WFT risk level,reduc-ing the use of pesticides and finally mitigating yield *** obtained results were com-pared to each other and to real *** performance of the models has been evaluated by 3 statistical *** results showed conspicuous performance of both models,indicating their efficiency for pest *** novelty associated with the sys-tem is the creation of decision support tool for daily risk assessment of *** on a small number of variables,this system is a monitoring tool which contributes to help farm-ers early reveal warning *** addition,this is a first attempt to employ ANNs and ANFIS for the prediction of WFT。

Abnormalities of gastric mucosa in patients with portal hypertension are well documented. Manifestations of portal hypertension in small bowel and colon are less common. Colonic polypoid lesions microscopically consisting of a normal mucosa, with dilatation of submucosal vessels, have been described. We here report the first case of portal hypertensive duodenal polyp, responsible for gastro-intestinal bleeding. Endoscopic treatment turned out to be successful.

Two different freeze-thaw cycles(FTC)are considered in this study to assess the related impact on gas permeability and micro-pore structure of a *** are the water-freezing/water-thawing(WF-WT)and the air-freezing/air-thawing(AF-AT)*** problem is addressed experimentally through an advanced nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)technique able to provide meaningful information on the relationships among gas permeability,pore structure,mechanical properties,and the number of *** is shown that the mortar gas permeability increases with the number of FTCs,the increase factor being 20 and 12.83 after 40 cycles for the WF-WT and AF-AT,*** results also confirm that gas permeability hysteresis phenomena occur during the confining pressure loading and unloading process.

Ants, the most abundant taxa among canopy-dwelling animals in tropical rainforests, are mostly represented by territorially dominant arboreal ants （TDAs） whose territories are distributed in a mosaic pattern （arboreal ant mosaics）. Large TDA colonies regulate insect herbivores, with implications for forestry and agronomy. What generates these mosaics in vegetal formations, which are dynamic, still needs to be better understood. So, from empirical research based on 3 Cameroonian tree species （Lophira alata, Ochnaceae; Anthocleista vogelii, Gentianaceae; and Barteriafistulosa, Passifloraceae）, we used the Self-Organizing Map （SOM, neural network） to illustrate the succession of TDAs as their host trees grow and age. The SOM separated the trees by species and by size for L. alata, which can reach 60 m in height and live several centuries. An ontogenic succession of TDAs from sapling to mature trees is shown, and some ecological traits are highlighted for certain TDAs. Also, because the SOM permits the analysis of data with many zeroes with no effect of outliers on the overall scatterplot distributions, we obtained ecological information on rare species. Finally, the SOM permitted us to show that functional groups cannot be selected at the genus level as congeneric species can have very different ecological niches, something particularly true for Crematogaster spp., which include a species specifically associated with B. fistulosa, nondominant species and TDAs. Therefore, the SOM permitted the complex relationships between TDAs and their growing host trees to be analyzed, while also providing new information on the ecological traits of the ant species involved.

Iron （Fe） is an essential metal nutrient for plant productivity and plant product quality （Briat et al., 2015）. Fe exists under two forms, ferrous （Fe^2＋） or ferric （Fe^3＋）, and is very reactive with oxygen, explaining why Fe plant nutrition is dependent upon both Fe chelation and Fe reduction. Fe availability in the soil is pH dependent, this metal being particularly insoluble in its ferric form in calcareous soils, representing one-third of the world＇s cultivated soils. Consequently, plants grown on these soils, in particular non-graminaceous plants, often suffer from Fe deficiency, which alters their growth.

BACKGROUND Gastrointestinal tumors are among the most common cancer types,and early detection is paramount to improve their ***-free DNA(cfDNA)liquid biopsy raises significant hopes for non-invasive early *** To describe current applications of this technology for gastrointestinal cancer detection and *** A systematic review of the literature was performed across the PubMed *** reporting the use of cfDNA liquid biopsy in the screening or diagnosis of gastrointestinal cancers were included in the *** A total of 263 articles were screened for eligibility,of which 13 articles were *** investigated colorectal cancer(5 studies),pancreatic cancer(2 studies),hepatocellular carcinoma(3 studies),and multi-cancer detection(3 studies),including gastric,oesophageal,or bile duct cancer,representing a total of 4824 *** sensitivities ranged from 71% to 100%,and specificities ranged from 67.4% to 100%.Pre-cancerous lesions detection was less performant with a sensitivity of 16.9% and a 100% specificity in one *** study using a large biobank demonstrated a 94.9% sensitivity in detecting cancer up to 4 years before clinical symptoms,with a 61% accuracy in tissue-of-origin *** cfDNA liquid biopsy seems capable of detecting gastrointestinal cancers at an early stage of development in a non-invasive and repeatable manner and screening simultaneously for multiple cancer types in a single blood *** trials in clinically relevant settings are required to determine the exact place of this technology in gastrointestinal cancer screening and diagnosis strategies.

In contrast to woody habit with secondary growth, truthful herbaceous habit lacking secondary growth is restricted to angiosperms among seed plants. Although angiosperms might have occurred as early as in the Triassic and herbaceous habit theoretically may have been well adopted by pioneer angiosperms, pre-Cretaceous herbs are missing hitherto, leaving the origin of herbs and evolution of herbaceous angiosperms mysterious. Here we report Juraherba bodae gen. et sp. nov, a whole plant herbaceous angiosperm, from the Middle Jurassic （〉164 Ma） at Daohugou Village, Inner Mongolia, China, a fossil Lagerst^itten that is worldwide famous for various fossil finds. The angiospermous affinity of Juraherba is ensured by its enclosed ovules/seeds. The plant is small but complete, with physically connected hairy root, stem, leaves, and fructifications. The Middle Jurassic age recommends Juraherba as the earliest record of herbaceous seed plants, demanding a refresh look at the evolutionary history of angiosperms.

We report the charge-changing cross sections(σ_(cc))of 24 p-shell nuclides on both hydrogen and carbon at about 900A MeV,of which^(8,9)Li,^(10–12)Be,^(10,14,15)B,^(14,15,17–22)N and^(16)O on hydrogen and^(8,9)Li on carbon are for the first *** from the data set,we found a new and robust relationship between the scaling factor of the Glauber model calculations and the separation energies of the nuclei of interest on both *** allows us to deduce proton radii(R_p)for the first time from the cross sections on *** identical R_p values are deduced from both target data for the neutron-rich carbon isotopes;however,the R_p from the hydrogen target is systematically smaller in the neutron-rich nitrogen *** calls for further experimental and theoretical investigations.
