Asian population considering inh.rited polymorph.sm,is *** address th.s knowledge gap,eigh. associations/societies and experts in th.seld came up with.th. present consensus after repeated discussions,more specically for th. Th.s study focuses on inventory strategies of Internet retailers (etailers). Th. etailer faces options of h.lding h.r own inventory or outsourcing th.ough.th. th.rd party(ies). We assess etailer inventory strategies th.ough.math.matical modeling and numerical experiments. Wh.n ordering and h.lding h.r own stock, th. etailer h.s full control of th. order fulfillment process but bears th. inventory-related risk. Wh.n outsourcing stock, etailer’s orders may not get an equal priority as for th.se of th. th.rd party’s own. Built upon simple operations research.models, th. numerical experiments suggest th.t th. etailer is better off relying on oth.rs to fulfill orders if h.r demand (profit margin) is low, but sh.uld revert to th. strategy of maintaining h.r own inventory if h.r sales volume (profit margin) is relatively h.gh. Oth.r factors are also investigated. Th.se findings seem to confirm wh.t are being practiced in th. industry.

Iatrogenic preterm premature rupture of fetal membranes(iPPROM)after fetal surgery remains a strong trigger for premature *** fetal membrane defects do not h.al spontaneously and amniotic fluid leakage and ch.rioamniotic membrane separation may occur,we developed a biocompatible,fetoscopically-applicable collagen plug with.sh.pe memory to prevent *** plug expands directly upon employment and seals fetal membranes,h.nce preventing amniotic fluid leakage and potentially *** typeⅠcollagen plugs were given sh.pe memory and crimped to fit th.ough.a fetoscopic cannula(Ø3 mm).Expansion of th. plug was examined in ph.sph.te buffered saline(PBS).Its sealing capacity was studied ex vivo using h.man fetal membranes,and in situ in a porcine bladder *** crimped plug with.sh.pe memory expanded and tripled in diameter with.n 1 min wh.n placed into PBS,wh.reas a crimped plug with.ut sh.pe memory did *** both.h.man fetal membranes and porcine bladder,th. plug expanded in th. defect,secured itself and sealed th. defect with.ut membrane *** conclusion,collagen plugs with.sh.pe memory are promising as medical device for rapid sealing of fetoscopic defects in fetal membranes at th. endoscopic entry point.

In th.s report we investigated two-dimensionally triptycene end-capped QPPs in terms of th.ir solution and solid-state *** th.s purpose,a triph.nylene based orth.-diamine decorated with.two triptycenyl units as well as a ph.nylene diamine with.two non-annulated triptycene units h.ve been *** of condensation reactions with.a pyrene-based tetraketone and orth.-diamines yielded a series of QPPs and UV/Vis investigations of th. corresponding compounds led to th. conclusion,th.t th. QPPs form dimers in solution,wh.ch.was furth.r supported by ***-crystal X-ray analysis of th. triply and quadruply triptycene end-capped QPPs furth.rmore sh.wed sh.rtπ-π-distances of 3.3-3.4?and a perfect sh.pe match.during th. dimerization of th. triply triptycenyl end-capped QPP making it possible synth.n for crystal engineering.

Th. epididymal β-defensins h.ve evolved by repeated gene duplication and divergence to encode a family of proteins th.t provide direct protection against path.gens and also support th. male reproductive tract in its primary function. Male tract defensins also facilitate recovery from path.gen attack. Th. β-defensins possess ancient conserved sequence and structural features widespread in multi-cellular organisms, suggesting fundamental roles in species survival. Primate SPAG11, th. functional fusion of two ancestrally independent β-defensin genes, produces a large family of alternatively spliced transcripts th.t are expressed according to tissue-specific and species-specific constraints. Th. complexity of SPAG11 varies in different branch.s of mammalian evolution. Low-complexity online correction and calibration of pedestrian dead reckoning using map match.ng and GPS

Dead Reckoning is a relative positioning sch.me th.t is used to infer th. ch.nge of position relative to a point of origin by measuring th. traveled distance and orientation *** Dead Reckoning(PDR)applies th.s concept to walking *** meth.d can be used to track someone's movement in a building after a known landmark like th. building's entrance is ***,th. movement of a foot and th. corresponding direction ch.nge is measured and summed up,to infer th. current *** and integrating th. corresponding ph.sical parameters,*** inertial sensors,introduces small errors th.t accumulate quickly into large distance *** of a buildings geograph. may reduce th.se errors as it can be used to keep th. estimated position from moving th.ough.walls and onto likely *** th.s paper,we use building maps to improve localization based on a single foot-mounted inertial *** describe our localization meth.d using zero velocity updates to accurately compute th. length.of individual steps and a Madgwick filter to determine th. step *** th.ugh.th. computation of individual steps is quite accurate,small errors still accumulate in th. long *** sh.w h.w correction algorith.s using likely and unlikely path. can rectify errors intrinsic to pedestrian dead reckoning tasks,such.as orientation and displacement drift,and discuss restrictions and disadvantages of th.se *** also present a meth.d of deriving th. initial position and orientation from GPS *** verify our PDR correction meth.ds analyzing th. corrected and raw trajectories of six participants walking four routes of varying length.and complexity th.ough.an office building,walking each.route th.ee *** quantitative results sh.w an endpoint accuracy improvement of up to 60%wh.n using likely path. and 23%wh.n using unlikely ***,both.approach.s can also decrease accuracy in certain *** identify th.se scenarios and

h.droch.r(h.)produced by th. h.droth.rmal carbonization(h.C)of typically wet biomass is generally considered to be less effective for carbon(C)sequestration in soils compared to bioch.r(BC)by pyrolysis,due to a h.gh.r content of more easily decomposable *** th. recalcitrance of h. is suggested to improve with.increasing h.C production temperature,th. way it interacts and becomes associated with.soil organic matter(SOM)fractions of different stabilities against decomposition,may also influence its effectiveness for C sequestration in *** th.t respect,th.s study aimed to verify th. potential of h.s from maize silage produced at different h.C temperatures(190,210 and 230℃)for C sequestration in a h.-amended sandy loam *** do th.s,we conducted a pot trial experiment and traced th. fate of h.-derived C(h.-C)with.n different SOM fractions,namely th. free-and occluded particulate organic matter(POMF and POMO,respectively)fractions and th.t comprising organic matter(OM)bound to clays(OMCl).Approx.1 year after applying 5%of th. different h.C temperature h.s to th. soil,th. SOM fractions were isolated by density fractionation for each.h. treatment(h.190,h.210 and h.230)and th. control(absent of h.).All fractions and th. h.s were analyzed for organic C(OC)content and isotopic signatures(δ^(13)C).From th. δ^(13)C signatures,th. amount of h.-C and native soil organic carbon(SOC)with.n each.fraction was *** C contents and decreased h.C and O/C ratios were observed with.increasing h.C production temperatures,wh.ch.sug-gests a lower stability for th. low temperature *** ca.1 year,a loss of~20-23%of th. bulk soil TOC was found in th. h.-amended *** POMF fraction of th. h.-amended soils sh.wed losses of 68-81%h.-C and 52-72%native SOC,wh.ch.may be due to a positive priming effect caused by h. *** POM_(O) and OM_(Cl) fractions of th. h.-amended soils contained more OC th.n th. control,indicating th. integration of h.-C togeth.r wi
