In this contribution we study the formal ability of a multi-resolution-times lattice Boltzmann scheme to approximate isothermal and thermal compressible Navier Stokes equations with a single particle *** precisely,we consider a total of 12 classical square lattice Boltzmann schemes with prescribed sets of conserved and nonconserved *** question is to determine the algebraic expressions of the equilibrium functions for the nonconserved moments and the relaxation parameters associated to each *** compare the fluid equations and the result of the Taylor expansion method at second order accuracy for bidimensional examples with a maximum of 17 velocities and three-dimensional schemes with at most 33 *** some cases,it is not possible to fit exactly the physical *** several examples,we adjust the Navier Stokes equations and propose nontrivial expressions for the equilibria.

We propose to extend the d’Humi`eres version of the lattice Boltzmann scheme to triangular *** use Bravais lattices or more general lattices with the property that the degree of each internal vertex is supposed to be *** such meshes,it is possible to define the lattice Boltzmann scheme as a discrete particle method,without need of finite volume formulation or Delaunay-Voronoi hypothesis for the *** test this idea for the heat equation and perform an asymptotic analysis with the Taylor expansion method for two schemes named D2T4 and *** results show a convergence up to second order accuracy and set new questions concerning a possible super-convergence.

Objective To evaluate the potential value of intravascular ultrasound(IVUS)imaging in the diagnosis of aortic intramural hematoma(AIH).Methods From September 2002 to May 2005,a consecutive series of 15 patients with suspected aortic dissection(AD)underwent both IVUS imaging and spiral computed tomography(CT).Six patients diagnosed as acute type B AIH by CT or IVUS composed the present study *** The study group consisted of five males and one female with mean age of 66 years *** of them had chest or back *** one patient,CT omitted a localized AIH and an associated penetrating atherosclerotic ulcer(PAU),which were detected by *** another patient,CT mistaken a partly thrombosed false lumen as an AIH,whereas IVUS detected a subtle intimal tear and slow moving blood in the false *** the four rest patients,both CT and IVUS made the diagnosis of AIH,however,IVUS detected three PAUs in three of them,only one of them was also detected by CT,and two of them escaped initial CT and were confirmed by follow up CT or magnetic resonance *** IVUS imaging is a safe examination and has high accuracy in the diagnosis of AIH,particularly for diagnosing localized AIH,distinguishing AIH with thrombosed classic AD and detecting accompanied small PAUs.

Particulate matter in ambient air constitutes a complex mixture of fine and ultrafine particles composed of various chemical compounds including metals, ions, and organics. A multidisciplinary approach was developed by studying physico-chemical characteristics and mechanisms involved in the toxicity of particulate atmospheric pollution. PM0.3-2.s and PM2.5 including ultrafine particles were sampled in Dunkerque, a French industrialized seaside city. PM samples were characterized from a chemical and toxicological point of view. Physico-chemical characterization evidenced that PM2.5 comes from several sources： natural ones, such as soil resuspension and marine sea-salt emissions, as well as anthropogenic ones, such as shipping traffic, road traffic, and industrial activities. Human BEAS-2B tung cells were exposed to PM0.3-2.5, or to the Extractable Organic Matter （EOM） of PM0.3-2.5 and PM2.s. These exposures induced several mechanisms of action implied in the genotoxicity, such as oxidative DNA adducts and DNA Damage Response. The toxicity of PM-EOM was higher for the sample including the ultrafine fraction （PM2.5） containing also higher concentrations of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. These results evidenced the major role of organic compounds in the toxicity of PM.

· AIM: To evaluate and compare the efficacy and stability of intrastromal corneal ring segment(ICRs)implantation with cross-linking(CXL) using different sequence and timing.· METHODS: In this single retrospective study, 86 keratoconic eyes subjected the ICRs implantation. We analyzed only 41 eyes that had complete *** were divided into three groups: ICRs implantation was applied only(group normal), ICRs first followed by CXL immediately(group CXL-S), CXL first followed by ICRs long after(group CXL-B). The visual acuity,refractive results, keratometry were compared preoperatively and 1y postoperatively. Their differences among the three groups were also analyzed.·RESULTS: Group normal comprised 25 eyes, group CXL-S 8 eyes, and group CXL-B 8 eyes. There were improvements in the mean uncorrected distance visual acuity(UDVA) and the mean corrected distance visual acuity(CDVA) compared preoperatively and 1y postoperatively [UDVA: 0.31(P =0.030) logarithmic minimum angle of resolution(log MAR) group normal, 0.4(P =0.020) group CXL-S, 0.45(P =0.001) group CXL-B;CDVA : 0. 21 log MAR( P = 0. 013) group normal, 0. 30(P =0.036) group CXL-S; 0.26(P =0.000) group CXL-B].The refractive and topographic outcomes also showed improvements. In terms of comparisons among the three groups, all the P values were above 0.05, showing no significant difference. But only group CXL-B had improvement in UDVA and CDVA for all the patients.·CONCLUSION: With safety and good visual outcomes,ICRs implantation is a viable alternative for *** significant difference was found among these three groups.

After the microbiology based on Pasteur's method and polymerase chain reaction(PCR), the diagnosis company named Dendris has proposed a third-generation of diagnosis enabling the search of a broad range of pathogens with strong sensitivity and specificity. This extraordinary profile was possible thanks to the use of phosphorus dendrimers for which various techniques of deposition on a given support were investigated and described and analyzed in this report.

Objective: Hypothyroidism has been claimed to generate sexual dysfunctions such as ejaculatory disorders. Aframomum melegueta is an aphrodisiac plant with pro-ejaculatory properties. We investigated the protective effects of aqueous extract(AE) and methanolic extract(ME) of A. melegueta on the ejaculatory function of hypothyroid male ***: Forty sexually experienced male rats were partitioned into 8 groups(5 rats per group) and treated for 28 d as follows: Group 1, Control;Group 2, propylthiouracil(PTU, 10 mg/kg)+ distilled water(DW,10 m L/kg);Group 3, PTU + 5% Tween 80(10 m L/kg);Group 4, PTU + bromocriptine(6 mg/kg);Group 5,PTU + AE(20 mg/kg);Group 6, PTU + AE(100 mg/kg);Group 7, PTU + ME(20 mg/kg), and Group 8,PTU + ME(100 mg/kg). On days 0, 7, 14 and 28 of treatment, each male rat was paired with primed receptive female for measurement of ejaculatory latency time(ELT) and post-ejaculatory interval(PEI) for1.5 h. On day 29, each male rat was urethane-anesthetized and the spinal cord was ***, following urethral/penile stimulations and intravenous injection of dopamine, contractions of the bulbospongiosus muscles and the intraseminal pressure were registered. After these recordings,blood was collected through the catheterization of abdominal artery and plasma was used for thyroidstimulating hormone(TSH), prolactin and testosterone ***: PTU-induced hypothyroidism was characterized by a significant elevation(P < 0.001) of plasmatic TSH and prolactin levels, but a decline(P < 0.001) in plasmatic testosterone, compared to untreated group. ELT, PEI, contractions of the bulbospongiosus muscles and the intraseminal pressure were also altered by PTU treatment. On the contrary, A. melegueta extracts elevated testosterone(AE, 100 mg/kg,P < 0.01;ME, 100 mg/kg, P < 0.05) and decreased prolactin(AE, 100 mg/kg, P < 0.05;ME, 20 mg/kg,P < 0.05) levels, compared to corresponding controls. Multiple sclerosis（MS） is characterized by chronic inflammation in conjunction with neurodegeneration within the central nervous system. Most individuals with MS begin with a relapsing remitting course that later transitions to secondary progressive MS. Currently available disease-modifying therapies（DMTs） for relapsing MS have been demonstrated to reduce disease activity, however most patients require a change in therapy over the course of their disease. Treatment goals include the prevention of relapses and disability accumulation and to achieve this objective requires careful planning. Sequencing of DMTs for individual patients should be designed in such a way to maximize disease control and minimize risk based on the mechanism of action, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties of each therapy. This includes the DMT patients are being switched from to those they are being switched to. The reversibility of immune system effects should be a key consideration for DMT sequence selection. This feature varies across DMTs and should factor more prominently in decision making as newer treatments become available for the prevention of disability accumulation in patients with progressive MS. In this short review, we discuss the landscape of existing therapies with an eye to the future when planning for optimal DMT sequencing. While no cure exists for MS, efforts are being directed toward research in neuroregeneration with the hope for positive outcomes.

Iron （Fe） is an essential metal nutrient for plant productivity and plant product quality （Briat et al., 2015）. Fe exists under two forms, ferrous （Fe^2＋） or ferric （Fe^3＋）, and is very reactive with oxygen, explaining why Fe plant nutrition is dependent upon both Fe chelation and Fe reduction. Fe availability in the soil is pH dependent, this metal being particularly insoluble in its ferric form in calcareous soils, representing one-third of the world＇s cultivated soils. Consequently, plants grown on these soils, in particular non-graminaceous plants, often suffer from Fe deficiency, which alters their growth.
