Urban agglomeration is a serious concern due to its high energy usage and impact on the local *** countries strive to determine the development path to optimize energy *** present study aims to examine the local climatic zones(LCZs)performance in warm and humid climate through a multi-objective approach for the residential *** performance is assessed by evaluating the urban microclimate and cooling load consumption for both summer and winter months using binomial logistic *** study concludes that LCZ 2_(3)(compact mid-rise with open low-rise)and LCZ 6_(B)(open low-rise with scattered trees)perform better for 80%and 50%of total hours in warm and humid *** also proves the presence of significant performance differences between mid-rise and low-rise *** intra-zonal differences between the climatic variables are higher than the inter-zonal differences due to the impact of land surface temperature(LST).The high aspect ratio and low sky view factor of LCZ 2_(3) help the residents in that morphology in enhancing better thermal comfort and reducing cooling load *** present study contributes to building regulation policymakers by providing information on the suitable morphology for warm and humid climate.

Steganography is one of the best techniques to hide secret *** steganography methods are available that use an image as a cover object,which is called image *** image steganography,the major features are the cover object quality and hiding data *** to poor image quality,attackers could easily hack the secret ***,the hidden data quantity should be improved,while keeping stego-image quality *** main aim of this study is combining several steganography techniques,for secure transmission of data without leakage and unauthorized *** this paper,a technique,which combines various steganographybased techniques,is proposed for secure transmission of secret *** the pre-processing step,resizing of cover image is performed with Pixel repetition Method(PrM).Then DES(Data Encryption Standard)algorithm is used to encrypt secret data before embedding it into cover *** encrypted data is then converted to hexadecimal *** is followed by embedding using Least Signification Bit(LSB)in order to hide secret data inside the cover ***,image de-noising using Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)is used to enhance the cover image with hidden encrypted *** Zerotrees of Wavelet Transform is used to compress the image in order to reduce its *** are conducted to evaluate the performance of proposed combined steganography technique and results indicate that the proposed technique outperforms all existing *** achieves better PSNr,and encryption/decryption times,than existing methods for medical and other types of images.

recently,much interest has been given tomulti-granulation rough sets (MGrS), and various types ofMGrSmodelshave been developed from different viewpoints. In this paper, we introduce two techniques for the classificationof MGrS. Firstly, we generate multi-topologies from multi-relations defined in the universe. Hence, a novelapproximation space is established by leveraging the underlying topological structure. The growing prevalence of fake images on the Internet and social media makes image integrity verification a crucial research *** of the most popular methods for manipulating digital images is image splicing,which involves copying a specific area from one image and pasting it into *** were made to mitigate the effects of image splicing,which continues to be a significant research *** study proposes a new splicing detectionmodel,combining Sonine functions-derived convex-based features and deep *** stages make up the proposed *** first step entails feature extraction,then classification using the“support vector machine”(SVM)to differentiate authentic and spliced *** proposed Sonine functions-based feature extraction model reveals the spliced texture details by extracting some clues about the probability of image *** proposed model achieved an accuracy of 98.93% when tested with the CASIA V2.0 dataset“Chinese Academy of Sciences,Institute of Automation”which is a publicly available dataset for forgery *** experimental results show that,for image splicing forgery detection,the proposed Sonine functions-derived convex-based features and deep features outperform state-of-the-art techniques in terms of accuracy,precision,and ***,the obtained detection accuracy attests to the benefit of using the Sonine functions alongside deep feature *** the regions or locations where image tampering has taken place is limited by the *** research will need to look into advanced image analysis techniques that can offer a higher degree of accuracy in identifying and localizing tampering regions.

Stagnant lid planets are characterized by a globe-encircling, conducting lid that is thick and strong, which leads to reduced global surface heat flows. Consequently, the mantles of such planets can have warmer interiors than Earth, and interestingly, a pyrolitic mantle composition under warmer conditions is predicted to have a distinctly different mantle transition zone compared to the present-day Earth(Hirose, 2002; Stixrude and Lithgow-Bertelloni, 2011; Ichikawa et al., 2014; Dannberg et al, 2022). Instead of olivine primarily transforming into its higher-pressure polymorphs such as wadsleyite and then ringwoodite, at pressures corresponding to410 km and 520 km depth in Earth, respectively, it instead transforms into a mineral assemblage of wadsleyite, majorite, and ferropericlase(WMF), and then to majorite + ferropericlase(MF), before finally transforming into bridgmanite at pressures corresponding to 660 km depth in Earth(Stixrude and Lithgow-Bertelloni, 2011; Ichikawa et al., 2014). Convective motions in stagnant lid planets are dominated by small-scale instabilities(cold drips) forming within the mobile rheological sublayer under the rigid lid. Using ASPECT and a thermodynamic model of a pyrolitic mantle composition generated by HeFESTo, we show that under certain conditions, the small drips can pond atop the WMF-MF mineral phase transition. The barrier to convective flow arises from the WMF mineral phase assemblage having an effective negative thermal expansivity(Stixrude and Lithgow-Bertelloni, 2022). Although large-scale downwellings that typically occur within mobile lid planets are able to pass through the WMF zone without difficulty(Dannberg et al., 2022; Li rP et al.,2024), the smaller and less negatively buoyant nature of downwelling drips in stagnant lid planets are more susceptible to these effects,which leads to an ephemeral layering of the mantle. Hydrodynamic cavitating flows usually consist of 3-D intense vortical flows that are detached from solid *** vortical flows normally generate heaps of cavitating flow structures,which,in turn,govern the location of cavitation erosion before ***,this study introduces a new numerical approach based on the improved delayed detached eddy simulation(IDDES)turbulence modeling for predicting cavitating ***,the solution of compressible Eulerian-Eulerian two-phase flow and the IDDES turbulence model was linked to the microjet hypothesis and unsteady behavior of pressure and vapor volume to predict the corresponding erosion of cavitating *** method for cavitation erosion prediction,a modified version taken from previous studies,was applied as a post-processing *** validation of cavitating flow predictions was performed for the first time on the Grenoble axisymmetric nozzle by comparing them with 21 photos of cavitation from the previous experimental *** results showed that the present numerical approach estimated various features of hydrodynamic cavitation well,including shedding processes and the length,shape,and collapse of cavitating *** the numerical analysis,three main stages were detected for the present cavitating flow,and the vorticity-cavitation interactions were investigated by the vorticity transport *** streak-like and tube-like cavitating(STLIC and TULIC)structures were introduced in the second stage,initiated by flow instability,and entirely governed by corresponding turbulent flow *** collapse of these cavitating structures is one of the primary sources of cavitation erosion on lower and upper *** results of the numerical erosion predictions were compared with those of the previous erosion tests on the Grenoble axisymmetric *** numerical performance was achieved in predicting the location and intensity of cavitation erosion.

Limited impacts of occasional tillage on dry aggregate size distribution and soil carbon and nitrogen fractions in semi-arid drylands

Tillage management that minimizes the frequency and intensity of soil disturbance can increase soil carbon(C)and nitrogen(N)sequestration and improve the resilience of dryland cropping systems,yet the impact of occasional disturbance on soil aggregate formation and the soil organic carbon(SOC)storage within aggregates has not been studied *** evaluated the effect of four tillage management practices on soil dry aggregate size distribution,aggregate-protected C and N,mineral-associated organic matter carbon(MAOM-C),particulate organic matter carbon(POM-C),and corn(Zea mays L.)and sorghum(Sorghum bicolor(L.)Moench)yields in a semi-arid dryland cropping *** included conventional tillage(CT),strip-tillage(ST),no-tillage(NT),and occasional tillage(OT)management in a corn-sorghum *** macro-aggregates were 51-54%greater under ST,NT,and OT,while small and micro-aggregates were greater in *** tillage reduced soil aggregate-associated C by 28-31%in macro-aggregates and 47-53%in small aggregates at 26 months(M)sampling compared to ST,NT,and *** clay+silt fraction,CT had 14-16%,21-26%,and 36-43%less SOC at 7,14,and 26M samplings,respectively,than ST,NT,and *** associated N was generally similar under ST,NT,and OT,which was greater on average than *** MOAM-C and POM-C under ST,NT,and OT were generally greater than respective SOC fractions under CT at 19 and 26 M after OT *** and sorghum yields were similar among tillage systems in 2020,but greater under ST,NT,and OT than CT in *** results suggest that while frequent intensive tillage can lower SOC and N storage,a single stubble mulch occasional tillage after several years of NT does not lead to soil C and N losses and soil structural instability in semi-arid drylands.
