Piráis a reading com.rehension dataset focused on the ocean,the Brazilian coast,and clim.te change,built from.a collection of scientific abstracts and reports on these *** dataset represents a versatile language resource,particularly useful for testing the ability of current m.chine learning m.dels to acquire expert scientific *** its potential,a detailed set of baselines has not yet been developed for Pirá.By creating these baselines,researchers can m.re easily utilize Piráas a resource for testing m.chine learning m.dels across a wide range of question answering *** this paper,we define six benchm.rks over the Pirádataset,covering closed generative question answering,m.chine reading com.rehension,inform.tion retrieval,open question answering,answer triggering,and m.ltiple choice question *** part of this effort,we have also produced a curated version of the original dataset,where we fixed a num.er of gram.ar issues,repetitions,and other ***,the dataset has been extended in several new directions,so as to face the aforem.ntioned benchm.rks:translation of supporting texts from.English into Portuguese,classification labels for answerability,autom.tic paraphrases of questions and answers,and m.ltiple choice *** results described in this paper provide several points of reference for researchers interested in exploring the challenges provided by the Pirádataset.

We present a novel approach for Stim.lated Ram.n Scattering(SRS)spectroscopy in which a hyper spectral resolution and high-speed spectral acquisition are achieved by em.loying am.lified offset-phase controlled fs-pulse *** investigate the m.thod by solving the coupled non-linear Schrödinger equations and validate it by num.rically characterizing SRS in m.lecular nitrogen as a m.del *** spectral resolution of the m.thod is found to be determ.ned by the inverse product of the num.er of pulses in the burst and the intraburst pulse *** SRS spectrum.is obtained through a m.tion-free scanning of the offset phase that results in a sweep of the Ram.n-shift *** to high spectral resolution and fast m.tion-free scanning the technique is beneficial for a num.er SRS-based applications such as gas sensing and chem.cal analysis.

Five perovskite ceram.cs sam.les of Ba_(1-x)Er_(x)SnO_(3) with x=0.00,0.05,0.10,0.15,and 0.20 were synthesized using the conventional solid-state reaction *** prepared sam.les were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform. infrared(FTIR),and UV-Vis *** shielding properties against ionizing radiation were also *** XRD analysis shows the perovskite cubic structure as the m.jor phase in all *** FTIR reveals a distinctive band around 614-620 cm.(-1) ascribed to the antisym.etric O-Sn-O ***-Vis spectroscopy was used to determ.ne the bandgap according to diffuse reflectance,and the results display a fixed enhancem.nt in the bandgap from.3.2 to 3.3 eV for all ***-ray shielding properties of the synthesized sam.les were experim.ntally m.asured and com.ared with XCOm.com.utational *** relative differences(Δ,%)between experim.ntal and theo retical values are low and fall within the 0.446%-7.10%*** addition of Er leads to the enhanced density,neutron,and gam.a shielding *** contrast,charged particles’shielding param.ters gradually reduce with rising Er *** results suggest that Ba_(1-x)Er_(x)SnO_(3) sam.les can be used in different radiation shielding applications.

Increasing concerns have been raised on endocrine disrupting chem.cals like the sex horm.ne 17 a-ethinylestradiol(EE2),the m.re since traditional wastewater(WW) treatm.nts appear to be ineffective for their *** efficacy of the relatively novel disinfectant peracetic acid(PAA) in EE2 rem.val was evaluated,as well as its potential effects on WW quality *** treatm.nts tested for EE2 rem.val were also evaluated in term. of toxicity,through the determ.nation of biochem.cal responses(antioxidant enzym.s,lipid peroxidation and vitellogenin induction) using zebrafish(Danio rerio) as a biological *** contact tim.s less than 20 m.n appeared insufficient regardless of the PAA dose tested,but a 100% EE2 rem.val was attained at a PAA concentration of 15 m./L with a contact tim. of20 *** suspended solids,chem.cal oxygen dem.nd and pH in PAA treatm.nts rem.ined well within levels set in European legislation for WW ***2 induced signific ant increased vitellogenin(VTG) levels in both fem.le and m.le fish,indic ating increased estrogenic activity,especially in m.les suggesting an endocrine disruption *** the addition of PAA(15 m./L),however,VTG levels in both sexes returned to control *** this PAA treatm.nt showed increased levels of the antioxidant enzym. catalase,the lipid peroxidation levels were sim.lar or even lower than in *** the results suggest that the use of PAA appears a prom.sing way forward as a less toxic alternative to chlorine disinfection with high efficiency in the rem.val of EDC like EE2.

Air tem.erature and photoperiod play an im.ortant role in the seedling developm.nt for tropical forest *** variables are sensitive to clim.te,and so evaluating therm.l and photoperiodic effects on seedling developm.nt is fundam.ntal,especially for clim.te change *** to quantify therm.l tim. and the energy required for plants to reach a developm.nt stage include air tem.erature and cardinal *** photoperiod will also affect physiological reactions of a plant and thus its *** we evaluated the six therm.l tim. m.thods widely used to com.ute therm.l requirem.nt,and identified the influence of the photoperiod from.the 2015 and2016 growing seasons and 12 sowing dates in Itajubá,m.nas Gerais state,Brazil,on seedling developm.nt of three native tropical forest species Psidium.guajava L.(m.rtaceae),Citharexylum.m.rianthum.Cham.(Verbenaceae),and Bixa orellana L.(Bixaceae).The m.thod used to quantify therm.l tim. influenced the analytical results of seedling developm.nt;the one that considered three cardinal tem.eratures and com.ared them.with the m.an air tem.erature(m.thod5)perform.d better in com.uting therm.l *** influence of photoperiod on seedling developm.nt was inconclusive for the three species,but all three developed better in m.ld tem.eratures(between 13.3℃and 26.9℃)with a photoperiod shorter than 13 h.

Active Force with Fuzzy Logic Control of a Two-Link Arm.Driven by Pneum.tic Artificial m.scles

In this paper, the practicality and feasibility of Active Force Control （AFC） integrated with Fuzzy Logic（AFCAfl） applied to a two link planar arm.actuated by a pair of Pneum.tic Artificial m.scle （PAm. is investigated. The study em.hasizes on the application and control of PAm.actuators which m.y be considered as the new generation of actuators com.rising fluidic m.scle that has high-tension force, high power to weight ratio and high strength in spite of its drawbacks in the form.of high nonlinearity behaviour, high hysteresis and tim. varying param.ters. Fuzzy Logic （fl） is used as a technique to estim.te the best value of the inertia m.trix of robot arm.essential for the AFC m.chanism.that is com.lem.nted with a conventional Propor- tional-Integral-Derivative （PID） control at the outerm.st loop. A sim.lation study was first perform.d followed by an experi- m.ntal investigation for validation. The experim.ntal study was based on the independent joint tracking control and coordinated m.tion control of the arm.in Cartesian or task space. In the form.r, the PAm.actuated arm.is com.anded to track the prescribed trajectories due to harm.nic excitations at the joints for a given frequency, whereas for the latter, two sets of trajectories with different loadings were considered. A practical rig utilizing a Hardware-In-The-Loop Sim.lation （HILS） configuration was developed and a num.er of experim.nts were carried out. The results of the experim.nt and the sim.lation works were in good agreem.nt, which verified the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed AFCAfl schem. actuated by PAm.
