The response of the agro-ecological system to the environment includes the response of individual crop＇s physiologic process and the adaption of the crop commu- nity to the environment. Observation and simulation at the single scale level cannot fully explain the above process. It is necessary to develop cross-scale agro-ecological models and study the interaction of agro-ecological processes across different scales. In this research, two typical agro- ecological models, the Decision Support System for Agro- technology Transfer （DSSAT） model and the Agro- ecological Zone （AEZ） model, are employed, and a framework for effective cross-scale data-model fusion is proposed and illustrated. The national observed data from 36 different agricultural observation stations and historical weather stations （1962-1999） are employed to estimate average crop productivity. Comparison of the two models＇ estimations are consistent, which would indicate the possibility ofcross-scale crop model fusion.

Aims Floral traits are frequently used in traditional plant systematics because of their assumed *** potential reason for the apparent constancy of flower size is that effective pollen transfer between flowers depends on the accuracy of the physical fit between the flower and ***,flowers are likely to be under stronger stabilizing selection for uniform size than vegetative plant ***,as predicted by the pollinator-mediated stabilizing selection(PMSS)hypothesis,an accurate fit between flowers and their pollinators is likely to be more important for specialized pollination systems as found in many species with bilaterally symmetric(zygomorphic)flowers than for species with radially symmetric(actinomorphic)*** In a comparative study of 15 zygomorphic and 13 actinomorphic species in Switzerland,we tested whether variation in flower size,among and within individuals,is smaller than variation in leaf size and whether variation in flower size is smaller in zygomorphic compared to actinomorphic *** findings Indeed,variation in leaf length was significantly larger than variation in flower length and ***-individual variation in flower and leaf sizes did not differ significantly between zygomorphic and actinomorphic *** line with the predictions of the PMSS,among-individual variation in flower length and flower width was significantly smaller for zygomorphic species than for actinomorphic species,while the two groups did not differ in leaf length *** suggests that plants with zygomorphic flowers have undergone stronger selection for uniform flowers than plants with actinomorphic *** supports that the relative uniformity of flowers compared to vegetative structures within species,as already observed in traditional plant systematics,is,at least in part,a consequence of the requirement for effective pollination.

Development of multiple myeloma in a patient with chronic hepatitis C: A case report and review of the literature

An association between chronic hepatitis C virus （HCV） infection and essential mixed cryoglobulinaemia and non-Hodgkin lymphoma （NHL） has been suggested. However, a causative role of HCV in these conditions has not been established. The authors report a case of a 50 year-old woman with chronic hepatitis C （CHC） who has been fol- lowed up since 1998 due to a high viral load, genotype lb and moderately elevated liver function tests （LFTs）. Laboratory data and liver biopsy revealed moderate activity （grade： 5/18, stage： 1/6）. In April 1999, one-year interferon therapy was started. HCV-RNA became negative with normalization of LFTs. However, the patient relapsed during treatment. In September 2002, the patient was admitted for chronic back pain. ACT examination demonstrated degenerative changes. In March 2003, multiple myeloma was diagnosed （IgG-kappa, bone marrow biopsy： 50% plasma cell infiltration）. MRI revealed a compression fracture of the 5^th lumbar vertebral body and an abdominal mass in the right lower quadrant, infiltrating the canalis spinalis. Treatment with vincristine, adriamycin and dexamethasone （VAD） was started and bisphosphonate was administered regularly. In January 2004, after six cycles of VAD therapy, the multiple myeloma regressed. Thalidomide, as a second line treatment of refractory multiple myeloma （MM） was initiated, and followed by peginterferon-α2b and ribavirin against the HCV infection in June. In June 2005, LFTs returned to normal, while HCV-RNA was negative, demonstrating an end of treatment response. Although a pathogenic role of HCV infection in malignant lymphoproliferative disorders has not been established, NHL and possibly MM may develop in CHC patients, supporting a role of a complex follow-up in these patients.

Background: According to current taxonomy only three out of 27 Sinohimalayan leaf warbler species(Phylloscopidae) are considered genetically uniform across their entire breeding range along the Southeastern margin of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, the Buff-barred Warbler(Phylloscopus pulcher) being one of them. Because marked differentiation among Himalayan and Chinese populations has been recently demonstrated for a number of Phylloscopus species(or sister species) we investigated the intraspecific variation of a mitochondrial gene, songs and morphology of P. pulcher in a phylogeographic ***: We sequenced a fragment of the mitochondrial cytochrome b, reconstructed haplotype networks and analyzed DNA polymorphism among Himalayan and Chinese populations. We measured time and frequency parameters of two distinct song types and analyzed among population-differentiation in a principal component analysis and a discriminant analysis. We also compared measurements of body size dimensions taken from museum ***: The mitochondrial haplotype network(cytb) was divided into two distinct clusters corresponding to geographic origin of samples. Pairwise genetic distances among Himalayan and Chinese mt DNA lineages account for 1.3% which coincides with Pleistocene lineage separation at roughly 650,000 years ago. Genetic diversity is slightly higher in the Chinese part of the species' range with respect to haplotype and nucleotide diversity while the less diversified Himalayan population lineage shows signs of recent range expansion. The vocal repertoire of P. pulcher comprises two distinct verse types that are combined with short interspersed click notes to long continuous song displays. Trill verse types showed significant differences among regions in almost all measured frequency and time parameters: Chinese males displayed more rapid and more broad-banded trills at a lower pitch. In contrast,warbling verse types showed a distinctively different structure

All-cis-hexafluoro-and all-cis-pentafluoro-cyclohexane(PFCH)derivatives are new kinds of materials,the structures and properties of which are dominated by the highly dipolar Janus-face ***,we report on the effects of integrating the PFCH groups into self-assembled monolayers(SAMs)of alkanethiolates on Au(111).Monolayers with an odd(eleven)and even(twelve)number of methylene groups were characterized in detail by several complementary experimental tools,supported by theoretical ***,all the data show a high similarity of both kinds of monolayers,nearly lacking the typically observed odd-even *** new monolayers have a packing density about 1/3 lower than that of non-substituted alkanethiolate monolayers,caused by the bulkiness of the PFCH *** orientations of the PFCH groups and the alkyl chains could be determined independently,suggesting a conformation similar to the one found in the solid state structure of an analogous *** in the SAMs the PFCH groups are slightly tilted away from the surface normal with the axial fluorine atoms pointing downwards,most of the dipole moments of the group remain oriented parallel to the surface,which is a unique feature for a SAM *** consequences are much lower water contact angles compared to other partly fluorinated SAMs as well as rather moderate work function *** interaction between the terminal PFCH moieties results in an enhanced stability of the PFCH-decorated SAMs toward exchange reaction with potential molecular substituents in spite of the lower packing density of these films.

Objectives:While receptive art engagement is known to promote health and wellbeing,active art engagement has not been fully explored in health and nursing *** review is to describe the existing knowledge on art making and expressive art therapy in adult health and nursing care between 2010 and ***:Relevant studies and grey literature were searched and identified between March 17 and April 10,2020 from EBSCO,CINAHL,Medline and ERIC databases and a general Internet *** data charting and extraction,the data(n=42 papers)were summarized and reported in accordance with PRISMA-ScR ***:In the included papers,both art making and expressive art therapy were seen in different health care and nursing contexts:yet not the home care *** emphasis of art activities were group activities for chronically or terminally ill residents,adults aged 65 years or older.A focus on personal narrative was often seen,which may explain why art activities appear to be linked to acknowledging and building new strengths and skills,making meaning of experiences,personal growth,symptom alleviation,and communication;all used to foster collaboration between patients,patients’near-ones and health care ***:Art activities appear to be suitable for every context and can promote personcenteredness and the measurement of nursing outcomes,and they should be considered an essential part of health and nursing care,nursing education and care for health care personnel.
