In recent decades,the matrix converter(mC)has emerged as a promising AC/AC converter that performs the direct AC-to-AC *** of its attractive features such as compact volume,bidirectional power flow,controllable input power factor and sinusoidal waveforms,there has been an increase in mC related research *** control techniques have been proposed to control mCs and many potential applications have been *** paper presents the state-of-the-art review in the recent development of control strategies and applications of mCs,starting with mC *** relevant simulation and experimental results are presented to show the performance of the corresponding controllers in specific applications.A wide range of control techniques and potential application fields are *** products and modules are also *** of different control strategies and different applications are summarized and *** is concluded that the mC is a promising converter and more research and industry interest is expected,particularly in AC motor drives and renewable energy microgrids.

The longwall method is one of the feasible and efficient underground mining methods for greater depth of ***,Singareni Collieries Company Limited(SCCL),the largest coal-producing government company in the Southern part of India,has deployed a high capacity(2×1152T capacity)power support system in its Adriyala Longwall Project(ALP)at a depth of 375 *** was a concern about the stability of the longwall workings and the protective ***,research work was carried out with the geotechnical instruments and numerical modelling tools to analyze the stability while retreating the longwall *** outcomes revealed that the convergence in the gate roads increased with the longwall face advancement and the area of *** pressure of the powered support legs on the dip side was less than the rise side legs,which implies a stable roof condition over the longwall *** abutment zone was identified ahead of the line of extraction up to 10e25 m and presumed from the Factor of Safety(FoS)criterion that within this zone,the longwall pillar possibly will be of better stability at every stage of *** results obtained from this study would be helpful for the mining engineers to understand the behaviour of underground strata in longwall workings.

A simple analytical real-time capable model to account for fuselage-induced velocities at rotor blade elements is described at the example of the Bo105 *** of the fuselage-induced flow fields in the volume of rotor operation above the fuselage are first computed by a panel method in the range of angle of attack and sideslip of±90°.The model parameters are then estimated based on these *** usefulness of the model in combinations of angle of attack and sideslip is demonstrated.

Enhanced photocatalytic activity of Ce-doped ZnO nanopowders synthesized by combustion method

Facile and fast combustion method was used to synthesize Zn O and Ce-doped Zn O（CZO） nanocrystalline powders photocatalysts with different cerium concentrations（0.5 wt.%–10.0 wt.%） followed by calcination at 700 oC for 3 h. The prepared samples were characterized by a variety of characterization techniques such as X-ray diffraction（XRD）, scanning electron microscopy（SEm） combined with energy dispersive X-ray diffraction（EDX）, transmission electron microscopy（TEm）, UV-visible spectroscopy, BET surface area analyser and photoluminescence spectroscopy（PL）, to study the crystal structure, surface morphology, chemical composition and optical properties. It was observed from XRD results that synthesized powders had hexagonal wurtzite structure with the smallest crystallite size about 13 nm. Absorption spectra showed that cerium doping enhanced the light absorption properties towards the visible light region. Photoluminescence spectra for Ce-doped Zn O samples exhibited relatively weak near band edge（NBE） emission peaks as compared to that of pristine Zn O. The photocatalytic activities of the prepared samples were evaluated by photocatalytic degradation of Rhodamine B（Rh B） under UV light and visible light（λ≥420 nm） irradiation. The textile mill effluent containing organic matters was also treated under sunlight using photocatalysis and the reduction in the chemical oxygen demand（COD） of the treated effluent revealed a complete destruction of the organic molecules along with colour removal. The results showed that the CZO photocatalyst doped with 3.0 wt.% cerium exhibited four times enhanced photocatalytic activity compared to pure Zn O. The enhanced photocatalytic activity could be attributed to extended visible light absorption and inhibition of the electron-hole pair＇s recombination.

The interaction of the charged particles in the new Unitary Quantum theory isconsidered. It is shown that the distance of approachment of deuterons to each other verystrongly depends on the phase of the wave function and not only upon the energy. This thesis isnot discussed in the conventional quantum theory. It can easily explain the experiments on thecold nuclear fusion.

Fluid flow in fractured media has been studied for decades and received considerable attention in the oil and gas industry because of the high productivity of naturally fractured *** to formation complexity and reservoir heterogeneity,characterizing fluid flow with an appropriate reservoir model presents a challenging task that differs relatively from homogeneous conventional reservoirs in many aspects of view,including geological,petrophysical,production,and *** most fractured reservoirs,fracture networks create complex pathways that affect hydrocarbon flow,well performance,hence reservoir characterization.A better and comprehensive understanding of the available reservoir modeling approaches is much needed to accurately characterize fluid flow behavior in ***,in this paper,a perspective review of the available modeling approaches was presented for fluid flow characterization in naturally fractured *** methods were evaluated in terms of their description,application,advantages,and *** study has also included the applications of these reservoir models in fluid flow characterizing studies and governing equations for fluid *** continuum models were proved to be better than single continuum models in the presence of large scale *** comparison,discrete models were more appropriate for reservoirs that contain a smaller number of ***,hybrid modeling was the best method to provide accurate and scalable fluid flow *** is our understanding that this paper will bridge the gap between the fundamental understanding and application of NFRs modeling approaches and serve as a useful reference for engineers and researchers for present and future applications.
