Choroid plexus papilloma(CPP)is a rare,slow-growing,and typically benign brain tumor that predominantly affects *** is characterized by well-defined circular or lobulated masses in the ventricles,leading to symptoms related to increased intracranial pressure and *** diagnosis relies on a combination of clinical presentation,imaging findings,and histological *** World Health Organization(WHO)classification categorizes choroid plexus tumors into CPP(Grade Ⅰ),atypical CPP(aCPP,Grade Ⅱ),and choroid plexus carcinoma(CPC,Grade Ⅲ).This article reviewed current diagnostics modalities and explored the emergence of new diagnostic methods for *** on molecular markers and genetic alterations associated with CPP is ongoing,and some potential markers have been *** results offered insights into potential therapeutic targets and personalized treatment approaches for *** in radiomics and liquid biopsy hold promise for improving diagnostic accuracy and monitoring treatment outcomes for choroid plexus *** can provide quantitative data from imaging studies,whereas liquid biopsy can analyze tumor-derived genetic material and molecular markers from body fluids,such as cerebrospinal fluid(CSF)and *** rapidly evolving fields of molecular and genetic research and novel diagnostic methods require continuous updates and advancements before their application in clinical *** hope that these advancements will lead to earlier and more precise diagnoses,better treatment options,and improved outcomes in patients with CPP and other brain tumors.

Background:Complementary medicine is an interesting field for extracting bio-active compounds from various plant and animal *** hepatoprotective effect of the methanolic extract of a species of sea cucumber called Holothuria leu-cospilota in an animal model of liver cancer caused by dimethyl nitrosamine(DMN)was ***:Wistar female rats were randomly divided into five groups(n=12):control(intact),positive control(received 1%DMN[10 mg/kg/week,intraperitoneally]for 12 weeks),and three treatment groups(received 50,100,and 200 mg/kg/day ***-cospilota extract orally for 12 weeks along with intraperitoneal administration of 1%DMN[10 mg/kg/week]).In all groups,ultrasound was performed on the liver every week to check its *** sampling and liver isolation were performed on three occasions,at 4,8,and 12 weeks,to check liver enzymes and the histopathological condition of the liver tissue(every week,four animals from each group were randomly selected).Results:Liver density changes were evident from the eighth week onward in the positive control *** results indicated pathologic changes in the positive control group after 4 *** increase in liver enzymes in the posi-tive control group was significantly different from that in the treatment and control ***:We demonstrated the hepatoprotective effect of *** on DMN-induced liver damage in rats using biochemical and histological parameters and *** additional research(in silico or in vitro)is needed to find the exact mechanism and the main biological compound in ***.

为提高井下固体充填采充作业效率,增强充填材料承载性能,设计了不同粉煤灰掺量的加浆改性固体充填材料压实试验,并开展了不同养护龄期的胶结充填体单轴压缩测试,探究了加浆散体压实力学特征,分析了粉煤灰掺量及养护龄期对胶结充填体的强度影响及变形破坏趋势,结合加浆散体压实界面黏结特性及胶凝浆液水化过程,阐明了加浆改性固体充填材料承压变形特性及固结承载机理.研究结果表明:加浆改性固体充填材料承载性能受加浆散体压实与胶凝浆液交互补强的动态影响,其承载机制包括矸石啮合、黏结补强和胶结固化3个关键过程;压实过程中应力-应变曲线表现出孔隙压密、滑移调整及破碎重构3个阶段,并随着粉煤灰掺量的增加,抵制变形的能力增强;粉煤灰掺量对胶结充填体性能具有双向作用,在养护28 d时,粉煤灰掺量为10%的胶结充填体达到强度阈值.研究成果对于固体改性充填工艺的优化具有较大参考价值,为充填体后期强度提高及充填成本的降低提供了理论及数据支撑.

Ferroptosis has been recognized as a unique cell death modality driven by excessive lipid peroxidation and unbalanced cellular *** this study,we established a protein interaction landscape for ferroptosis pathways through proteomic analyses,and identified choline/ethanolamine phosphotransferase 1(CEPT1)as a lysophosphatidylcholine acyltransferase 3(LPCAT3)-interacting protein that regulates LPCAT3 protein *** contrast to its known role in promoting phospholipid synthesis,we showed that CEPT1 suppresses ferroptosis potentially by interacting with phospholipases and breaking down certain pro-ferroptotic polyunsaturated fatty acid(PUFA)-containing ***,our study reveals a previously unrecognized role of CEPT1 in suppressing ferroptosis.

Shrinkage behavior of self-compacting concrete

In the structures where long-term behavior should be monitored and controlled, creep and shrinkage effects have to be included precisely in the analysis and design procedures. Shrinkage varies with the constituent and mixture proportions, and depends on the curing conditions and the work environment as well. Self-compacting concrete (SCC) contains combinations of various components, such as aggregate, cement, superplasticizer, water-reducing agent and other ingredients which affect the properties of the SCC including shrinkage. Hence, the realistic prediction shrinkage strains of SCC are an important requirement of the design process for this type of concrete structures. This study reviews the accuracy of the conventional concrete (CC) shrinkage prediction models proposed by the international codes of practice, including CEB-FIP (1990), ACI 209R (1997), Eurocode 2 (2001), JSCE (2002), AASHTO (2004; 2007) and AS 3600 (2009). Also, SCC shrinkage prediction models proposed by Poppe and De Schutter (2005), Larson (2007), Cordoba (2007) and Khayat and Long (2010) are reviewed. Further, a new shrinkage prediction model based on the comprehensive analysis on both of the available models, i.e., the CC and the SCC is proposed. The predicted shrinkage strains are compared with the actual measured shrinkage strains in 165 mixtures of SCC and 21 mixtures of CC.

Ni catalysts supported on nanocrystalline magnesium oxide for syngas production by CO_2 reforming of CH_4

CO2 reforming of methane （CDRM） was carried out over MgO supported Ni catalysts with various Ni loadings. The preparation of MgO supported Ni catalysts via surfactant-assisted precipitation method led to the formation of a nanocrystalline carrier for nickel catalysts. The synthesized samples were characterized by XRD, N2 adsorption-desorption, H2 chemisorption, TPR, TPO and SEM techniques. It was found that the high catalytic activity and stability of the prepared catalysts could be attributable to high dispersion of reduced Ni species and basicity of support surface. In addition, the effect of feed ratio, nickel loading and GHSV on the catalytic performance of CDRM over the catalysts were investigated.

Ti leaching from activated ilmenite–Fe mixture at different milling energy levels

Mechanical activation processes on ilmenite concentrate were performed in three different energy levels. Iron powder as a reducing agent was added to ilmenite in the milling stage and the mechanically activated mixture was subjected to acid leaching. The leaching experiments were designed using the Taguchi method, and the optimum ranges were obtained. Furthermore, response surface methodology(RSM) was used to optimize the critical parameters in the leaching system to achieve the highest titanium(Ti) leachability. Based on the inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry(ICP-OES) results, maximum leaching recovery of Ti(80%) was obtained using activated Ti concentrates at a medium activation energy level, which is calculated to be 25.38 kJ/g, using 15 vol% hydrochloric acid(HCl), a temperature of 70°C, leaching time of 3 h, and a solid-to-liquid ratio of 0.05 g×mL^(–1). Intensifying the milling energy from a low to high level led to a decrease in the mean crystallite size and also structure homogenization at the high energy level. According to the transmission electron microscopy(TEM) images, the mean grain size of the ilmenite/Fe nanocomposite was about 30 nm at the medium energy level sample. Finally, solvent extraction by tributyl phosphate(TBP) was performed on the leach liquor to separate dissolved Fe(the major impurity) from Ti, which led to 83% extraction recovery of Ti.

A New Insight into Energy Distribution of Electrons in Fuel-Rod Gap in VVER-1000 Nuclear Reactor

In order to calculate the electron energy distribution in the fuel rod gap of a VVER- 1000 nuclear reactor, the Fokker-Planck equation （FPE） governing the non-equilibrium behavior of electrons passing through the fuel-rod gap as an absorber has been solved in this paper. Besides, the Monte Carlo Geant4 code was employed to simulate the electron migration in the fuel-rod gap and the energy distribution of electrons was found. As for the results, the accuracy of the FPE was compared to the Geant4 code outcomes and a satisfactory agreement was found. Also, different percentage of the volatile and noble gas fission fragments produced in fission reactions in fuel rod, i.e. Krypton, Xenon, Iodine, Bromine, Rubidium and Cesium were employed so as to investigate their effects on the electrons＇ energy distribution. The present results show that most of the electrons in the fuel rod＇s gap were within the thermal energy limitation and the tail of the electron energy distribution was far from a Maxwellian distribution. The interesting outcome was that the electron energy distribution is slightly increased due to the accumulation of fission fragments in the gap. It should be noted that solving the FPE for the energy straggling electrons that are penetrating into the fuel-rod gap in the VVER-1000 nuclear reactor has been carried out for the first time using an analytical approach.
