As of August 30,2021,COVID-19 has caused more than 216 million infections and 4.49 million deaths worldwide,with 0.58 million new cases[1].Because the COVID-19 vaccine is distributed gradually and widely,the development of the global epidemic has been prevented to some extent,but the emergence of SARS-CoV-2 variants makes us *** alpha(B.1.1.7),beta(B.1.351),gamma(P.1)and delta(B.1.617)strains have been named variants of concern by the WHO[2].The SARS-CoV-2 variants have increased in transmissibility and virulence,leading to higher morbidity and mortality.

Pre-eclampsia with new-onset systemic lupus erythematosus during pregnancy: A case report

BACKGROUND New-onset systemic lupus erythematosus(SLE)during pregnancy and in the postpartum period is rare,especially when complicated with pre-eclampsia,which is difficult to diagnose ***,we report a patient with newonset SLE and antiphospholipid syndrome during pregnancy,which presented as pre-eclampsia at *** SUMMARY A 28-year-old primigravid woman was admitted to our hospital in the 27th wk of gestation with the primary diagnosis of severe *** spasmolysis and antihypertensive therapy were administered since admission,the 24-h proteinuria of the 2nd day after admission reached 10311.0 *** the 47th h of admission,immunologic examinations revealed increased levels of antidouble stranded DNA antibody,anti-nuclear antibody,anti-cardiolipin antibody,anti-Sj?gren’s syndrome-related antigen A antibody and anti-nucleosome antibody and decreased levels of complement C3 and *** hour later,ultrasonography of the lower limbs showed thrombus of the bilateral popliteal *** diagnosis of SLE and antiphospholipid syndrome was *** the 54th h,the patient manifested with convulsion,dyspnea and blurred *** hours later,intrauterine death was revealed by *** surgery consisting of inferior vena cava filter implantation and subsequent cesarean section was *** glucocorticoid and anticoagulation therapy after delivery,the patient had an optimal response with improvements in symptoms and immunological *** Obstetricians should be aware of the symptoms and immunological examination results to distinguish pre-eclampsia and underlying SLE for optimal pregnancy outcomes.

Expression of programmed death 1 and its ligands in the liver of autoimmune hepatitis C57BL/6 mice

Background Autoimmune hepatitis （AIH） is a chronic inflammatory liver disease with unknown etiology. Programmed death 1 （PD-1） and its ligands （PD-L1 and PD-L2）, BT-H1/PD-L1 and B7-DC/PD-L2, are new CD28-B7 family members that are involved in the regulation of immune responses. Previous observation suggests that PD-1 system plays an inhibitory role in regulating peripheral blood T cells, B cells and myeloid cells, thus their abnormality may be related to autoimmune diseases. This study aimed to explore the role of PD-1/PD-L1, L2 system in the pathogenesis of AIH. Methods The mice model of experimental autoimmune hepatitis （EAH） was established in C57BL/6 mice and the expression levels of PD-1 and PD-L1, L2 in the murine liver and the cytokines, including interferon （IFN）-γ, tumor necrosis factor （TNF）-α and interleukin （IL）-4 in the spleen were detected using reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction （RT-PCR）, and the results were compared with those of normal controls. Results The expression levels of PD-1, PD-L1, PD-L2 mRNA were higher in EAH compared with normal controls （P 〈0.05）, the PD-L2/PD-1 ratio was relatively lower in EAH （EAH -0.08±0.35, normal controls 0.52±0.07, P=0.009）. In the EAH, the expression of the three cytokines were all upregulated compared with normal controls. PD-L1 had a positive correlation with the expression of IFN-γ （r =0.289, P 〈0.05）, while PD-L2 showed a positive correlation with both expressions of IL-4 （r=0.378, P 〈0.01） and IFN-γ （r =0.261, P 〈0.05）. While TNF-α showed no correlation with PD-L1 （r=0.044, P=0.736） or PD-L2 （r=0.127, P=0.335）. Conclusions The expression of PD-1/PD-L1, L2 is upregulated in EAH and regulated by IFN-γ and IL-4. PD-1 system may play an important role in the pathogenesis of AIH.

Boosting ammonia production in electrocatalytic NO_(x)reduction on a robust Fe/FeMoO_(4)catalyst

Electrocatalytic reduction of nitrate(NO_(3)^(−))and nitride(NO_(2)^(−))to ammonia(NH3)is of wide interest as a promising alternative to the energy-intensive Haber-Bosch route for mitigating the vast energy consumption and the accompanied carbon dioxide emission,as well as benefiting for the relevant sewage ***,exploring an efficient and low-cost catalyst with high atomic utilization that can effectively facilitate the slow multi-electron transfer process remains a grand ***,we present an efficient hydrogenation of NO_(3)^(−)/NO_(2)^(−)species to NH3 in both alkaline and neutral environments over the Fe_(2)(MoO_(4))_(3)derived hybrid electrocatalyst with the metallic Fe site on FeMoO_(4)(Fe/FeMoO_(4)).The Mo ingredient can play a synergistically positive role in further promoting the NH_(3) production on *** a result,Fe/FeMoO_(4)behaves well in the electrochemical NH_(3) generation from NO_(2)^(−)with a maximum NH_(3) Faradaic efficiency(FE)of 96.53%and 87.68%in alkaline and neutral electrolyte,corresponding to the NH_(3) yield rate of 640.68 and 302.56 mg·h^(−1)·mg_(cat.)^(−1),respectively,which outperforms the Fe and Mo counterpart and other similar catalyst,showing the robust catalytic capacity of each active site.

Sample Generation for Security Region Boundary Identification Based on Topological Features of Historical Operation Data

Since the scale and uncertainty of the power sys-tem have been rapidly increasing,the computation efficiency of constructing the security region boundary(SRB)has become a prominent *** on the topological features of histori-cal operation data,a sample generation method for SRB identi-fication is proposed to generate evenly distributed samples,which cover dominant security *** boundary sample pair(BSP)composed of a secure sample and an unsecure sam-ple is defined to describe the feature of *** resolution,sampling,and span indices are designed to evaluate the cover-age degree of existing BSPs on the SRB and generate samples closer to the *** on the feature of flat distribution of BSPs over the SRB,the principal component analysis(PCA)is adopted to calculate the tangent vectors and normal vectors of ***,the sample distribution can be expanded along the tangent vector and corrected along the normal vector to cover different security ***,a sample set is randomly gen-erated based on the IEEE standard example and another new sample set is generated by the proposed *** results in-dicate that the new sample set is closer to the SRB and covers different security modes with a small calculation time cost.

The mucosal barrier of the gastrointestinal tract(GIT)is crucial for the overall health of the *** disruption permits the infiltration of intestinal microorganisms into the underlying mucosa,resulting in infections and inflammatory conditions,such as inflammatory bowel disease(IBD),metabolic disorders,and autoimmune diseases1,***,strategies to protect the mucosal barrier from exogenous stimuli or to facilitate its recovery have become increasingly ***,immunomodulators,corticosteroids,and biological agents have been widely employed to treat IBD by alleviating inflammation and enhancing mucosal ***,they can also produce serious systemic toxicity3,4;therefore,there is an urgent need for exploiting innovative strategies to fortify the intestinal mucosal barrier against the invasion of exogenous damaging factors.
