Coupled Dynamics and Integrated Control for Position and Attitude Motions of Spacecraft:A Survey

Inspired by the integrated guidance and control design for endo-atmospheric aircraft,the integrated position and attitude control of spacecraft has attracted increasing attention and gradually induced a wide variety of study results in last over two decades,fully incorporating control requirements and actuator characteristics of space missions.This paper presents a novel and comprehensive survey to the coupled position and attitude motions of spacecraft from the perspective of dynamics and control.To this end,a systematic analysis is firstly conducted in details to show the position and attitude mutual couplings of spacecraft.Particularly,in terms of the time discrepancy between spacecraft position and attitude motions,space missions can be categorized into two types:space proximity operation and space orbital maneuver.Based on this classification,the studies on the coupled dynamic modeling and the integrated control design for position and attitude motions of spacecraft are sequentially summarized and analyzed.On the one hand,various coupled position and dynamic formulations of spacecraft based on various mathematical tools are reviewed and compared from five aspects,including mission applicability,modeling simplicity,physical clearance,information matching and expansibility.On the other hand,the development of the integrated position and attitude control of spacecraft is analyzed for two space missions,and especially,five distinctive development trends are captured for space operation missions.Finally,insightful prospects on future development of the integrated position and attitude control technology of spacecraft are proposed,pointing out current primary technical issues and possible feasible solutions.

Small noncoding RNAs (sn RNAs) such as short interfering RNAs (si RNAs), micro RNAs (mi RNAs), and PIWI-interacting RNAs (pi RNAs) play important roles in diverse cellular processes. These small regulatory RNA molecules exert key regulatory functions by forming complexes with different Argonaute proteins, including the Argonaute(AGO) and PIWI subfamilies (Peters and Meister, 2007).AGO subfamily proteins are ubiquitously expressed and interact with mi RNAs or si RNAs, while PIWI subfamily proteins are expressed mainly in germline cells and interact specifically with pi RNAs (Bartel, 2018).

Stochastic maximum principle for optimal control problems involving delayed systems

Dear editor,The main objective of this study is to investigate one type of stochastic optimal control problem for a delayed system using the maximum principle method.The existing research can be categorized into two categories.In the first category,the adjoint equation comprises two backward stochastic differential equations (BSDEs) and one backward ordinary differential equation (BODE),which is assumed to have a zero solution;see e.g.,[1-3].However,there is still scope for improvement in this research direction.Here,a special setting is considered for the system parameters;see e.g.,(3.9)and (3.12) in 21.The BODE is assumed to result in a zero solution when the necessary maximum principle is strictly applied;see e.g.,Theorem 5.1 in 31.In the second category,a typee of anticipated/time-advanced BSDE is introduced as the adjoint equation;see e.g.,[1,4-7].

Dear Editor,The most severe type of male infertility,nonobstructive azoospermia(NOA),is characterized by clinical heterogeneity,implying the involvement of different acquired and genetic factors.However,the cause of NOA is unidentified in a substantial number of patients after the exclusion of all-known acquired factors and routine genetic testing,such as karyotype and Y chromosome microdeletion analysis.1 With the recent rapid development of whole-exome sequencing(WES),an increasing number of novel monogenic causes have been identified.Recently,RAD51-associated protein 2(RAD51AP2)was reported to be a novel causative gene of NOA in a monogenic recessive manner in two sporadic patients.2 Here,we studied the WES data for a family with two NOA patients and found that both carried a novel homozygous loss-of-function(LoF)mutation in RAD51AP2.

The energy storage mechanism of azobenzene is based on the transformation of molecular cis and trans isomerization,while NBD/QC,DHA/VHF,and fulvalene dimetal complexes realize the energy storage function by changing the molecular structure.Acting as“molecular batteries,”they can exhibit excellent charging and discharging behavior by converting between trans and cis isomers or changing molecular structure upon absorption of ultraviolet light.Key properties determining the performance of STFs are stored energy,energy density,half-life,and solar energy conversion efficiency.This review is aiming to provide a comprehensive and authoritative overview on the recent advancements of azobenzene molecular photoswitch system in STFs fields,including derivatives and carbon nano-templates,which is emphasized for its attractive performance.Although the energy storage performance of Azo-STFs has already reached the level of commercial lithium batteries,the cycling capability and controllable release of energy still need to be further explored.For this,some potential solutions to the cycle performance are proposed,and the methods of azobenzene controllable energy release are summarized.Moreover,energy stored by STFs can be released in the form of mechanical energy,which in turn can also promote the release of thermal energy from STFs,implying that there could be a relationship between mechanical and thermal energy in Azo-STFs,providing a potential direction for further research on Azo-STFs.

Modified strict sperm morphology threshold aids in the clinical selection of conventional in vitro fertilization(IVF)or intracytoplasmic sperm injection(ICSI)

For infertility treatment,the selection of in vitro fertilization(IVF)or intracytoplasmic sperm injection(ICSI)is decided by multiplying indicators(including fallopian tube factors,semen count,and semen motility),except for sperm morphology.In this study,we conducted a retrospective analysis,from implantation to birth,over a period of 5 years.A total of 1873 couples with primary or secondary fallopian tube factors and an increased defective sperm morphology rate(DSMR)were divided into different groups to receive IVF or ICSI cycles.By comparing the outcomes,we found that the F1 group(DSMR98%,IVF group 3;P98%,ICSI group 3)had higher cleavage rate(P<0.001),biochemical pregnancy rate(P<0.05),clinical pregnancy rate(P<0.05)and live birth rate(P<0.05)than the F3 group.However,the ICSI subgroup had a lower two pronuclei fertilization rate than the IVF subgroup(P<0.05).Our data suggest that the sperm morphology should also be considered when selecting IVF or ICSI combined with other semen parameters before the first assisted reproductive technologies(ART)cycle,especially for males with severe sperm defects.

Auxin,one of the first identified and most widely studied phytohormones,has been and will remain a hot topic in plant biology.After more than a century of passionate exploration,the mysteries of its synthesis,transport,signaling,and metabolism have largely been unlocked.Due to the rapid development of new technologies,new methods,and new genetic materials,the study of auxin has entered the fast lane over the past 30 years.Here,we highlight advances in understanding auxin signaling,including auxin perception,rapid auxin responses,TRANSPORT INHIBITOR RESPONSE 1 and AUXIN SIGNALING F-boxes(TIR1/AFBs)-mediated transcriptional and non-transcriptional branches,and the epigenetic regulation of auxin signaling.We also focus on feedback inhibition mechanisms that prevent the over-amplification of auxin signals.In addition,we cover the TRANSMEMBRANE KINASE-mediated non-canonical signaling,which converges with TIR1/AFBs-mediated transcriptional regulation to coordinate plant growth and development.The identification of additional auxin signaling components and their regulation will continue to open new avenues of research in this field,leading to an increasingly deeper,more comprehensive understanding of how auxin signals are interpreted at the cellular level to regulate plant growth and development.

Existence of Optical Vortex Solitons in Pair Plasmas

Optical vortices arise as phase dislocations of light fields and they are of importance in modern optical physics.In this study,we employ the calculus of variations method to develop an existence theory for the steady state vortex solutions of a nonlinear Schr?dinger type equation to model light waves that propagate in a medium with a new focusing-defocusing nonlinearity.First,we demonstrate the existence of positive radially symmetric solutions by constrained minimization,where we give some interesting explicit estimates related to vortex winding numbers and the wave propagation constant.Second,we establish the existence of saddle-point solutions through a mountain-pass argument.

Coat protein complex Ⅱ(COPⅡ)-coated vesicles are responsible for transporting the cargoes from the endoplasmic reticulum(ER) to different destinations. c TAGE5/MEA6 is essential for the development and function of different organs. It regulates the assembly of COPⅡ carrier and cargo trafficking through direct or indirect interaction with COPII components. c TAGE5/MEA6 mainly coordinates with another scaffold protein, TANGO1, to play essential roles in the trafficking and secretion of both large and small cargoes in multiple organs. In this viewpoint, we would like to discuss the molecular mechanisms underlying c TAGE5/MEA6-mediated cargo transport and biological functions.
