Th. γ-ray emission from th. W51 complex is widely acknowledged to be attributed to th. interaction between th. cosmic rays (CRs) accelerated by th. sh.ck of supernova remnant (SNR) W51C and th. dense molecular clouds in th. adjacent star-forming region, W51B. h.wever, th. maximum acceleration capability of W51C for CRs remains elusive. Based on observations conducted with.th. Large h.gh.Altitude Air Sh.wer Observatory (Lh.ASO), we report a significant detection of γ rays emanating from th. W51 complex, with.energies from 2 to 200 TeV. Th. Lh.ASO measurements, for th. first time, extend th. γ-ray emission from th. W51 complex beyond 100 TeV and reveal a significant spectrum bending at tens of TeV. By combining th. "π0-decay bump" featured data from Fermi-LAT, th. broadband γ-ray spectrum of th. W51 region can be well-ch.racterized by a simple pp-collision model. Th. observed spectral bending feature suggests an exponential cutoff at ∼400 TeV or a power-law break at ∼200 TeV in th. CR proton spectrum, most likely providing th. first evidence of SNRs serving as CR accelerators approach.ng th. PeV regime. Additionally, two young star clusters with.n W51B could also be th.oretically viable to produce th. most energetic γ rays observed by Lh.ASO. Our findings strongly support th. presence of extreme CR accelerators with.n th. W51 complex and provide new insigh.s into th. origin of Galactic CRs. © 2024 Science Ch.na Press

Traditional single-acting piezoelectric-h.draulic h.brid actuators usually h.ve th. problem of inertial force caused by flow pulsation of th. liquid,wh.ch.degrades th.ir output *** suppress or solve th. associated inertial force and enh.nce its output capabilities,th.s paper proposes a new type of double-acting piezoelectric-h.draulic h.brid actuator with.four ch.ck valves acting as mech.nical *** new h.brid actuator was fabricated and its output performance was *** th. voltage is 700 Vp-pand th. bias pressure is 2 MPa,th. pulsation ratesδof th. new actuator at 400 h.,500 h. and 600 h. are 2.29,2.08 and 1.78,respectively,wh.leδof th. single-acting h.brid actuator under th. same conditions are 10.98,11.05 and ***,th. liquid pulsation rate of th. new h.brid actuator is significantly reduced,wh.ch.is beneficial for improving th. flow uniformity and weakening th. influence of inertial force on th. h.brid *** strategy ultimately leads to a maximum no-load velocity of 168.1 mm/s at 600 h. and a maximum blocking force of 141 N at 450 h. for th. new h.brid *** addition,th.s strategy h.s th. potential to be used in oth.r electroh.drostatic actuators to improve th.ir performance.

h.w can tech.ology and efficiency alleviate th. dilemma of economic growth.and carbon emissions in Ch.na's industrial economy? A metafrontier decoupling decomposition analysis

Th.s paper attempts to explore th. decoupling relationsh.p and its drivers between industrial economic increase and energy-related CO_(2) emissions(ICE). Firstly, th. decoupling relationsh.p was evaluated by Tapio index. Th.n, based on th. DEA meta-frontier th.ory framework wh.ch.taking into account th. regional and industrial h.terogeneity and index decomposition meth.d, th. driving factors of decoupling process were explored mainly from th. view of tech.ology and efficiency. Th. results sh.w th.t during2000-2019, weak decoupling was th. primary state. Investment scale expansion was th. largest reason h.ndering decoupling process of industrial increase from ICE. Both.energy saving and production tech.ology ach.eved significant progress, wh.ch.facilitated th. decoupling process. Simultaneously, th. energy tech.ology gap and production tech.ology gap among regions h.ve been narrowed, and played a role in promoting decoupling process. On th. contrary, both.scale economy efficiency and pure tech.ical efficiency h.ve inh.biting effects on decoupling process. Th. former indicates th.t th. scale economy of Ch.na's industry was not conducive to improve energy efficiency and production efficiency, wh.le th. latter indicates th.t resource misallocation problem may exist in both.energy market and product market.
