This issue of Journal of Renewable Materials is a special issue dedicated to the 15th Brazilian Polymer Conference(15th CBPol)which was held in Bento Gonçalves,Rio Grande do Sul State,Brazil,from 27 to 31 October,2019[1].CBPol is the main scientific forum in the field of polymer science and technology in *** conference has been held biannually since 1991 and in this event had almost 900 participants mainly from Brazil,but also from Argentina,Chile,Peru,USA,Canada,Belgium,France,Great Britain,Portugal and Spain,with 60%students and 40%professionals.A total of 1,100 papers from 2725 authors were presented,from which 25%(280 papers)was in the field of Biomaterials showing the importance of these materials which are in general based on renewable *** 280 works were developed mainly by researchers from Brazilian institutions(universities and research institutes),mainly from the south and southeast regions of the *** subject of more than 70%of the works was dedicated on vegetal raw materials,medicinal applications,packaging and composite materials.

Several authors have commented on the anatomical changes following radical prostatectomy(RP)for prostate cancer and their characteristic radiological appearances.1,2 Most of these relate to periurethral fibrosis and its clinical significance in patients with postprostatectomy sphincter weakness incontinence.3,4 On magnetic resonance imaging(MRI),this postsurgical fibrosis appears as a focus of low-signal intensity in the periurethral tissues at and around the level of the vesicourethral anastomosis(VUA)which is appreciable on both T1-and T2-weighted images.

The stability and productivity concerning a modification on the traditional room and pillar for a new selective technique at the Portuguese Panasqueira Mine have been *** traditional room-and-pillar stoping uses 5.0-m wide rooms with 3.0 m×3.0 m pillars,while the selective room-and-pillar mining technique consists in stoping with rooms of 4.0 m wide and pillars of 4 m×4 m with a subsequent selective cutting of the quartz veins at the mid pillar of approximately 0.5 m high,to obtain a pillar section with an area of 3.0 m×3.0 *** stability and productivity analyses indicate that the selective technique obtains smaller average pillar safety factor,more rock mass displacement,more extraction and selectivity ratios,and ore grade improvement,compared with the traditional *** results show that the selective technique is also more *** proposed selective room-and-pillar mining technique is applicable to any sub-horizontal narrow quartz veins with wolfram,gold,*** as the famous La Rinconada gold mine in the Peruvian Andes.

This project is founded on a personal curiosity that has been nurtured by the media,many scholars and international *** main issues are as follows:"Why Angola Choose China for relationship"?"What is Angola’s role in influencing new markets for China in Africa?""What effects and possible advantages will it have for both countries"?After a long period of reading and study,I was able to identify variables related to these issues that were relevant and supported by other authors in other ***,some variables were related to these particular subjects,and others were "transported" from similar subjects,is the same issues but different case studies.I have sought in a clearer and more specific way to be able to give answers to these pertinent questions,which on the one hand turn out to be very fundamental for the construction of my thesis dissertation as well as to discuss aspects also related to foreign policy between both countries and also the aspects that this relationshipThe relationship between states is not based only on the interrelation or partnership between both,there are mechanisms and standards that state must follow when *** example,in Article 1 of the UN charter said "the principle of Sovereignty among state" and that all states are equal and must be respected no matter how strong or weak it is（although today it has not been noticed）,other example are the laws concerning international law that all state must follow as well the principles of the international system.

Background: Cervical cancer (CC) is one of the most frequent cancers and the leading cause of death from gynecological cancer in Low and middle income countries, Cameroon inclusive. Surgery is the primary treatment modality when the disease is diagnosed at early stage. Radical hysterectomy in cervical cancer has not been evaluated in recent years in Cameroon. The purpose of this study is thus to evaluate the epidemiological and clinical features and short term outcomes of patients who underwent surgery. Patients and methods: This retrospective study was conducted at the Douala Gynaeco-obstetric and Pediatric Hospital and the Douala General Hospital. Cervical cancer patients who underwent Radical hysterectomy between January 2015 and December 2020 were included. A pre-established data collection tool was used to record socio-demographic, clinical and outcomes information from patients’ files;additional outcome information was obtained from phone calls. Descriptive analysis was done using the SPSS version 26. Bivariate analysis was used to determine associations between disease and patients characteristics and occurrence of adverse postoperative outcome. P value of 0.05 was considered. Results: Sixty one patients were enrolled. Their ages ranged from 33 to 74 years with a mean age of 51.95 ± 10.29 years. Over 85% of women were married, 65.57% were unemployed and 86.88% were multiparous. Only 28% had never done cervical cancer screening. Most patients had stage IB1 to IB2 stage disease (57.1%). Less than 9% underwent radical hysterectomy and 8 of those (13.11%) suffered intraoperative complications. Twenty-five patients (40.98%) presented immediate and short term complications. There was no significant association between the disease or patients’ characteristics and adverse outcomes. With the increasing concern about the serious global energy crisis and high energy consumption during high content solid wastes （HCSWs） treatment, microbial fuel cell （MFC） has been recognized as a promising resource utilization approach for HCSW stabilization with simultaneous electrical energy recovery. In contrast to the conventional HCSW stabilization processes, MFC has its unique advantages such as direct bio-energy conversion in a single step and mild reaction conditions （viz., ambient temperature, normal pressure, and neutral pH）. This review mainly introduces some important aspects of electricity generation from HCSW and its stabilization in MFC, focusing on：（1） MFCs with different fundamentals and configurations designed and constructed to produce electricity from HCSW; （2） performance of wastes degradation and electricity generation; （3） prospect and deficiency posed by MFCs with HCSWas substrates. To date, the major drawback of MFCs fueled by HCSW is the lower power output than those using simple substrates. HCSW hydrolysis and decomposition would be a major tool to improve the performance of MFCs. The optimization of parameters is needed to push the progress of MFCs with HCSW as fuel.
