AIM:To explore the effects of laser-activated remote phosphors(LARP)on visual function in guinea ***:Electroretinogram(ERG)of guinea pigs were observed after LARP irradiation at different frequencies and irradiation *** evaluated the expression of rhodopsin,β-catenin,connexin36,calretinin,and calbindin in the retina of guinea pigs and measured the density of photoreceptor cells after high-frequency LARP ***:After LARP irradiation,the ERG results showed that the amplitude of the dark-adapted 3.0 b-wave of the model eye was lower than that of the control eye after high-frequency irradiation(P<0.05).The expression of rhodopsin,β-catenin,connexin36,calretinin,and calbindin in the retina of guinea pig ***:There is frequency cumulative damage effect on the retina that relates to LARP illumination *** has significance for staff visual protection policies under LARP lighting conditions.

Correlation between TIMP-1 expression and liver fibrosis in two rat liver fibrosis models

AIM： To evaluate serum TIMP-1 level and the correlation between TIMP-1 expression and liver fibrosis in immuneinduced and CCL4-induced liver fibrosis models in rats. METHODS： Immune-induced and CCL4-induced liver fibrosis models were established by dexamethasone （0.01 mg） and CCL4 respectively. Serum TIMP-1 level was detected with ELISA, while histopathological grade of liver biopsy was evaluated. Spearman rankcorrelation test was used to analyse the difference of the correlation between the TIMP-1 expression and hepatic fibrosis in the two fibrosis models. Furthermore,in situ hybridization was used to determine the expression difference of TIMP-1 mRNA in the two models. RESULTS： Positive correlation existed between serum TIMP-1 level of immune induced group and the histopathological stages of fibrosis liver of corresponding rats （Spearman rank-correlation test, rs = 0.812, P 0.05）, and the positive in situ hybridization signal of TIMP-1 mRNA was strong. In CCL4-induced liver fibrosis model, the correlation between the serum TIMP-1 level and the severity of hepatic fibrosis was not statistically significant（Spearman rank-correlation test, rs = 0.229, P 〉 0.05）. And compared with immune-induced model, the positivein situ hybridization signal of TIMP-1 mRNA was weaker, while the expression variation was higher in hepatic fibrosis of the same severity. CONCLUSION： The correlations between TIMP-1 expression and liver fibrosis in two rat liver fibrosis models are different. In immune-induced model, serum TIMP-1 level could reflect the severity of liver fibrosis, while in CCL4-induced model, the correlation between the serum TIMP-1 level and the severity of hepatic fibrosis was not statistically significant.

With the rapid development of large-scale development of marginal oilfields in China,simple wellhead platforms that are simple in structure and easy to install have become an inevitable choice in the process of oilfield ***,traditional simple wellhead platforms are often discarded after a single *** pursuit of a more costeffective approach to developing marginal oilfields,this paper proposes a new offshore oil field development facility—an integrated bucket foundation for wellhead *** verify the safety of its towing behavior and obtain the dynamic response characteristics of the structure,this paper takes a bucket integrated bucket foundation for wellhead platform with a diameter of 40 m as the research *** combining physical model tests and numerical simulations,it analyzes the static stability and dynamic response characteristics of the structure during towing,complete with the effects of the draft,wave height,wave period,and towing point height,which produce the dynamic responses of the structure under different influence factors,such as roll angle,pitch angle,heave acceleration and towing force as well as the sensibility to transport *** results show that the integrated bucket foundation for wellhead platform is capable of self-floating towing,and its movement is affected by the local environment,which will provide a reference for actual projects.

It is particularly important to comprehensively assess the biotoxicity variation of industrial wastewater along the treatment process for ensuring the water environment ***,intensive studies on the biotoxicity reduction of industrial wastewater are still *** this study,the toxic organics removal and biotoxicity reduction of coal chemical wastewater(CCW)along a novel full-scale treatment process based on the pretreatment process-anaerobic process-biological enhanced(BE)process-anoxic/oxic(A/O)process-advanced treatment process was *** process performed great removal efficiency of COD,total phenol,NH_(4)^(+)-N and total *** the biotoxicity variation along the treatment units was analyzed from the perspective of acute biotoxicity,genotixicity and oxidative *** results indicated that the effluent of pretreatment process presented relatively high acute biotoxicity to Tetrahymena *** the acute biotoxicity was significantly reduced in BE-A/O *** the genotoxicity and oxidative damage to Tetrahymena thermophila were significantly decreased after advanced *** polar organics in CCW were identified as the main biotoxicity *** were positively correlated with acute biotoxicity,while the nitrogenous heterocyclic compounds and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons were positively correlated with *** the biotoxicity was effectively reduced in the novel full-scale treatment process,the effluent still performed potential biotoxicity,which need to be further explored in order to reduce environmental risk.

AIM:To investigate therapeutic effects of traditional Chinese medicine formulations,Hexuemingmu(HXMM)on laser-induced choroidal neovascularization(CNV)and followup effect in ***:C57 BL/6 mice of 8-week-old were used and CNV was induced with 577 nm laser *** were randomly divided into groups and different doses of HXMM were administered ***,four,and eight weeks after the intervention,the electroretinogram(ERG),fundus fluorescence angiography,choroidal flat mount and immunofluorescence staining were preformed to evaluate the function and CNV *** expression levels of angiogenic proteins were determined by Western blotting and immunofluorescence *** analysis of variance and Kruskal-Wallis test were used to test the differences among the ***:The results showed that HXMM effectively increased amplitude of ERG of mice(P<0.05),alleviated fundus CNV leakage(P<0.05),and reduced the area of neovascularization and the expression of angiogenic proteins(P<0.05)after laser-induced ***:HXMM can protect the retinal function of mice after laser-induced CNV,and inhibit the CNV development.

Swelling behaviors of heterogeneous red-bed mudstone subjected to different vertical stresses

In this study,the axial swelling strain of red-bed mudstone under different vertical stresses are measured by swell-under-load method,and the microstructure of mudstone after hygroscopic swelling is studied by mercury intrusion porosimetry(MIP).The weakening coefficient and Weibull distribution function are introduced into the coupling model of mudstone moisture diffusion-swelling deformation-fracture based on finite-discrete element method(FDEM).The weakening effect of moisture on mudstone's mechanical parameters,as well as the heterogeneity of swelling deformation and stress distribution,is *** microcrack behavior and energy evolution of mudstone during hygroscopic swelling deformation under different vertical stresses are *** results show that the axial swelling strain of mudstone decreases with increase of the vertical *** low vertical stresses,moisture absorption in mudstone leads to formation of cracks caused by hydration-induced *** high vertical stresses,a muddy sealing zone forms on the mudstone surface,preventing further water *** simulation results of mudstone swelling deformation also demonstrate that it involves both swelling of the mudstone matrix and swelling caused by crack ***,crack expansion plays a dominant role in mudstone *** increasing vertical stress,the cracks in mudstone change from tensile cracks to shear cracks,resulting in a significant reduction in the total number of *** the evolution of mudstone kinetic energy shows similarities under different vertical stresses,the evolution of strain energy varies significantly due to the presence of different types of cracks in the *** findings provide a theoretical basis for understanding the hygroscopic swelling deformation mechanism of red-bed mudstone at various depths.

Objective To provide an overview of the current knowledge of growth-differentiation factor 15 （GDF-15） in heart disease. Data sources To identify relevant publications, we searched PubMED database combining the textual terms of heart, cardiac, cardiovascular disease with GDF-15. Study selection Well-controlled, relatively large-scale, retrospective studies as well as meaningful individual cases were all selected as materials. Results GDF-15 is a distant member of the transforming growth factor-13 cytokine superfamily. In myocardium, GDF-15 is weakly expressed under physiological conditions. However, its expression level is increased in response to pathological stress. Growing evidence indicate that elevated levels of GDF-15 is a promising prognostic biomarker in cardiovascular diseases. Moreover, GDF-15 exhibits the properties of endogenous anti-hypertrophy of cardiomyocytes and protecting the heart suffering from ischemia and reperfusion insult. Conclusion Ve GDF-15 may be a promising biomarker for evaluation and management of patient with cardiovascular diseases, and have potential protective properties on myocardium.

Polarization-sensitive photodetection and imaging have great application value in fields such as polarization division multiplexing optical communication,remote sensing,near-field imaging and military *** a high polarization ratio has always been the research hotspot in polarization-sensitive *** this paper,we report a compression strain enhanced polarization ratio inβ-gallium oxide(β-Ga_(2)O_(3))single crystal flake.A rigorous crystallographic analysis confirmed its high crystalline quality and ***-resolved polarization Raman spectroscopy(ARPRS)was adopted to study the anisotropy of its optical *** ARPRS measurements and theoretical calculation consistently demonstrate the strong optical anisotropy in the high-qualityβ-Ga_(2)O_(3)flake.A polarization ratio of 0.96 was obtained in the flatβ-Ga_(2)O_(3)***,mechanical strain of±0.7%was introduced intoβ-Ga_(2)O_(3).An increased polarization ratio of 0.98 was achieved in the case of 0.7%compression strain,which is,to the best of our knowledge,the highest value for UVC polarization-sensitive *** corresponds to an improved polarization rejection ratio of *** work proposed a new path towards improving polarization sensitivity by applying strain engineering in the active material.
