Electrodeposited transparent PEDOT for inverted perovskite solar cells:improved charge transport and catalytic performances

The acidic, corrosive effect of sodium polystyrene sulfonate(PSS) in poly 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene:sodium polystyrene sulfonate(PEDOT:PSS) limits the stability of inverted perovskite solar cells(PSCs) based on the ITO/PEDOT:PSS/perovskite/PCBM/BCP/Ag structure. In this work, a poly 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene(PEDOT) hole transport layer(HTL) with high hole mobility and good catalytic performance was prepared by electrochemical cyclic voltammetry(CV) method for inverted PSCs. By controlling the CV cycles(from 1 to 5 cycles) and EDOT monomer solution concentration(from0.5 to 2.0 mmol·L^(-1)) of electrochemical deposition, the thickness, morphology, optical and electrochemical properties of PEDOT could be accurately adjusted. The optimal photovoltaic performance with current density(J_(sc)) of 22.19 mA·cm^(-2), open circuit voltage(V_(oc)) of 0.94 V, fill factor(FF) of 0.65 and photoelectric conversion efficiency of 13.56% was obtained when deposition of PEDOT with 1 CV cycle and EDOT concentration of 0.5 mmol·L^(-1). At this point, the perovskite showed good crystallization,optimal optical, charge transport and recombination performance, resulting in better V_(oc)and photoelectric conversion efficiency(PCE) compared to the devices with higher CV cycle numbers and 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene(EDOT) concentration. For comparison with spin-coated PEDOT:PSS, the device with electrodeposited PEDOT showed improved J_(sc)and comparable V_(oc), which may result from its better charge transport and catalytic *** device with spin-coated PEDOT:PSS showed photoelectric conversion efficiency of 12.25%, which was lower than that based on electrodeposited PEDOT(13.56%) with1 CV cycles and 0.5 mmol·L^(-1) EDOT concentration. And the device with electrodeposited PEDOT as HTLs showed more excellent air stability. Sodium-ion batteries(SIBs) and potassium-ion batteries(PIBs) have been attracting great attentions and widely been exploited due to the abundant sodium/potassium ***,the preparation of high-powered anode materials for SIBs/PIBs plays a decisive role for the commercial applications of SIBs/PIBs in the *** selenides are a class of potential anode materials for SIBs/PIBs because of their small band gap and high electrical *** this work,MnSe and ReS_(2) core-shell nanowires connecting by polydopamine derived carbon nanotube(MnSe@NC@ReS_(2)) have been successfully synthesized from growing ReS_(2) nanosheets array on the surface of MnSe@NC nano wires,which present excellent Na^(+)/K^(+) storage *** applied as SIBs anode,the specific capacity of 300 mAh·g^(-1) was maintwined after 400 cycles at the current density of 1.0 A·g^(-1).Besides,it could also keep 120 mAh·g^(-1) specific capacity after 900 cycles at 1.0 A·g^(-1) for the anode of *** heterogeneous engineering and one-dimensional-two-dimensional(1D-2D) hybrid strategies could provide an ideal strategy for the synthesis of new hetero-structured anode materials with outstanding battery performance for SIBs and PIBs.

Catalytically generated noncovalent ammonium dienolate:a versatile platform for the development of organocatalytic asymmetric cascade reactions

Organocatalytic cascade reactions represent a powerful strategy for the rapid construction of complex chiral molecules with multiple stereocenters from simple substrates under mild conditions. The intriguing structural feature and diverse reactivity of catalytically generated dienolate species render them competent and versatile intermediates for the development of practical and valuable cascade reactions. Over the past years, a plethora of innovative and pioneering noncovalent ammonium dienolatemediated cascade reactions have been designed and implemented under the catalysis of chiral organocatalysts, making dienolate activation a general, robust, and complementary method for the functionalization of unsaturated carbonyl compounds and related substances. This review illustrates the recent advances in organocatalytic noncovalent ammonium dienolate-mediated cascade reactions(mainly from 2010 to 2023), including the cascade transformations of ammonium dienolates directly generated from unsaturated ketone/aldehyde, ester/lactone/azlactone, amide/lactam/pyrazolone/oxindole, and alkylidene nitrile compounds. The contents are arranged based on the reaction types of the ammonium dienolates, with an emphasis on cascade 2,5-, 3,5-, and 4,5-difunctionalizations of these intermediates. Furthermore, other cascade reactions involving the 1,3-, 2,3-, and even more complex 3,4,5-reactivities of ammonium dienolates were also discussed. The reaction pathway, reaction stereoinduction, and synthetic applications of the ammonium dienolate-mediated cascade reactions were highlighted throughout the article. As a stimulating and ever-growing research area, the organocatalytic noncovalent ammonium dienolate-mediated cascade reactions are expected to continue demonstrating their magic power for constructing chiral targets in the future and further expanding the boundaries of asymmetric catalysis.

BACKGROUND Differences in the preoperative characteristics and weight loss outcomes after sleeve gastrectomy(SG)between patients with familial aggregation of obesity(FAO)and patients with sporadic obesity(SO)have not been *** To explore the impact of SG on weight loss and the alleviation of obesity-related comorbidities in individuals with *** A total of 193 patients with obesity who underwent SG were *** with FAO/SO were matched 1:1 by propensity score matching and were categorized into 4 groups based on the number of first-degree relatives with obesity(1 SO vs 1FAO,2SO vs 2FAO).The baseline characteristics,weight loss outcomes,prevalence of obesity-related comorbidities and incidence of major surgeryrelated complications were compared between *** We defined FAO as the presence of two or more first-degree relatives with *** with FAO did not initially show significant differences in baseline data,short-term postoperative weight loss,or obesity-related comorbidities when compared to patients with SO ***,distinctions between the two groups became evident at the two-year mark,with statistically significant differences in both percentage of total weight loss(P=0.006)and percentage of excess weight loss(P<0.001).The FAO group exhibited weaker remission of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)(P=0.031),hyperlipidemia(P=0.012),and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)(P=0.003)as well as a lower incidence of acid reflux(P=0.038).CONCLUSION FAO patients is associated with decreased mid-to-long-term weight loss outcomes;the alleviation of T2DM,hyperlipidemia and NAFLD;and decreased incidence of acid reflux postoperatively.

Enhancing adhesive bond strength of CFRP/titanium joints through NaOH anodising and resin pre-coating treatments with optimised anodising conditions

Adhesively Bonded Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic(CFRP)and titanium alloy have been extensively used as a hybrid structure in modern aircrafts due to their excellent combination of mechanical properties and chemical *** study utilised NaOH anodising method to create micro-rough titanium surfaces for enhancing adhesive bonding between titanium alloy and CFRP laminates.A special and simple technique named Resin Pre-Coating(RPC)was also employed to improve the surface wetting of anodised titanium and grinded CFRP *** influences of anodising temperature and duration on the surface morphology,wettability and adhesive bond strength were *** single lap shear test results showed that the bond strength of specimens anodised at 20℃for 15 min improved by 135.9%and 95.4%,respectively,in comparison with that of acid pickled and grinded specimens(without RPC treatment).Although increasing the anodising temperature and duration produced rougher titanium surfaces,the adhesively bonded joints were not strong enough due to relatively friable titanium oxide layers.

Device design principles and bioelectronic applications for flexible organic electrochemical transistors

Organic electrochemical transistors(OECTs) exhibit significant potential for applications in healthcare and human-machine interfaces, due to their tunable synthesis, facile deposition, and excellent biocompatibility. Expanding OECTs to the fexible devices will significantly facilitate stable contact with the skin and enable more possible bioelectronic applications. In this work,we summarize the device physics of fexible OECTs, aiming to offer a foundational understanding and guidelines for material selection and device architecture. Particular attention is paid to the advanced manufacturing approaches, including photolithography and printing techniques, which establish a robust foundation for the commercialization and large-scale fabrication. And abundantly demonstrated examples ranging from biosensors, artificial synapses/neurons, to bioinspired nervous systems are summarized to highlight the considerable prospects of smart healthcare. In the end, the challenges and opportunities are proposed for fexible OECTs. The purpose of this review is not only to elaborate on the basic design principles of fexible OECTs, but also to act as a roadmap for further exploration of wearable OECTs in advanced bio-applications.

Effects of strengthening prospective nursing practice on sleep quality,anxiety,and depression of awake patients in intensive care unit

BACKGROUND The intensive care unit(ICU)is a specialized hospital *** patients in the ICU frequently encounter adverse psychological states,such as anxiety and fear,often accompanied by poor sleep *** situation has garnered significant attention within the medical *** To investigate the impact of prospective nursing intervention strategies on the sleep quality and negative emotional state of conscious ICU *** One hundred and twenty ICU awake patients admitted to our hospital were selected and randomly divided into control(n=60)and observation(n=60)*** in the control group were cared for using the conventional nursing model,while patients in the observation group were cared for using the prospective nursing *** improvement was assessed using the International Standardized Sleep Efficiency Formula and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI).The PSQI,Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item(GAD-7)scale,Self-Depression Scale(SDS),and satisfaction before and after treatment were used to assess the negative emotional states of patients under the two care *** Patient satisfaction in the observation group was significantly higher than in the control *** GAD-7 and SDS scores in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group,and the total effective rate of sleep improvement in the observation group was significantly higher than in the control *** treatment,the PSQI scores of the two groups significantly decreased(Plinical application.
