An extended literature review h.s.been conducted about nurs.s. turnover, and h.w to retain th. s.aff by applying appropriate h.man Res.urces.th.ory in th. h.alth.are organis.tion, to retain nurs.s.and eliminate turnover. Th.s.is.th.ough.exploring th. h.man Res.urce Management is.ue related to nurs.s. h.gh.turnover and th. reas.n wh.ch.is.beh.nd to leave th.ir h.s.itals.in Kuwait. Als., th. s.udy will critically examine th. working nature and th. is.ue beh.nd nurs.s. turnover. In addition, motivational th.ories.will be us.d in th.s.paper and will apply s.me s.rategies.th.t can be us.d to avert th. caus.s.of th. problem, to ens.re th.t nurs.s.are retained with.n th.ir organis.tions. Aim: To enh.nce employee loyalty to th.ir organis.tions.and effectively retain nurs.s. s.aff in X organis.tion, with.a particular reference to h.man Res.urces.Management. Meth.dology: Various.literature, journals. articles. reports.and books.were reviewed to ach.eve th. aim of th.s.paper, s.ecific cons.deration was.given to th. leaders.ip. A relevant h.man Res.urces.Th.ory was.applied with.leaders.ip s.pport to retain nurs.s.in th. organis.tion and to reduce nurs.s. turnover. Findings. Leaders.are important to develop a cons.derable retention s.rategy with.n th. organis.tion, by increas.ng th. nurs.’s.loyalty and s.tis.action th.ough.different tech.iques.s.ch.as.policy and guidelines. motivating th.ough.allowances.and leave, furth.r ch.nging th. s.s.em. Th. Ps.ch.-s.cial Impact of Urinary Incontinence on th. Quality of Life among Kuwaiti Women with.Type 2 Diabetes.Mellitus

Th.s.s.udy was.conducted to determine th. ps.ch.-s.cial impact of urinary incontinence (UI) on th. quality of life of 250 Kuwaiti women with.type 2 diabetic mellitus.(DM). A s.rvey meth.d, us.ng a 33-item 5-point Likert s.ale Arabic ques.ionnaire adapted from th. King’s.h.alth.Ques.ionnaire (Kh.), was.employed for data collection from February to May, 2014 wh.le all th. participants.were receiving treatment for UI at a s.ecialized urology center in Kuwait. Participants.with.UI and a co-morbidity of type 2 DM and obes.ty were 20 to 65 years.old. Res.lts.s.owed th. following variables.were s.atis.ically s.gnificant for frequency of urine leak: Age was.(χs.p>2s.p> = 36.877, df = 3, P ≤ 0.000). Parity s.owed nulliparous.women reported les. urine leak compared to parous.women: Ch.-s.uare was.(χs.p>2s.p> = 24.83, df = 12, P ≤ 0.016). Type 2 DM for more th.n 3 years.duration h.d th. h.gh.s. incidence of s.veral leaks.per day. BMI of above 25 kg/m2 caus.d daily urine leak: Ch.-s.uare (χs.p>2s.p> = 17.912, df = 9, P ≤ 0.036). Participants. s.lf reports.of good general h.alth.were th.s. wh. leaked urine eith.r 2 - 3 times.weekly or occas.onally. Finally, th. impact of incontinence on th.ir lifes.yle was.reported as.extreme by 128 (51.2%), and 6 (2.4%) reported little or no impact on th.ir quality of life: Ch.-s.uare was.(χs.p>2s.p> = 52.392, df = 18, P ≤ 0.000). In conclus.on, th.s.s.udy s.owed a clear correlation between UI and reduced quality of life. Midwives.are well pos.tioned to correct th. myth.th.t UI is.an inevitable byproduct of ch.ldbearing. Midwives.s.ould explain to all pregnant women h.w ch.ldbirth.can be a ris. factor and provide anticipatory guidance by teach.ng preventive meas.res.like pelvic floor exercis.s.before and after delivery. Family members.s.ould as.is. s.fferers.in coping with.th.ir ch.llenges.by dis.elling any form of s.igmatization, joining th.m in practicing pelvic floor exercis.s. and encouraging,

Th. aim of th.s.s.udy was.to determine th. types.of urinary incontinence prevalent among Kuwaiti women with.Type two Diabetes.Mellitus.attending th. outpatient clinic at th. Urology center and s.gges. appropriate nurs.ng interventions. Urinary incontinence is.not a life th.eatening condition but it can be emotionally devas.ating and th.refore affects.th. s.fferer’s.quality of life. Th.s.cros.-s.ctional des.riptive s.rvey cons.s.ed of 250 Kuwaiti women with.type two diabetes.mellitus.receiving treatment at th. outpatient department at s.bah.Al-Ah.ad Urology Center, Kuwait. Th. ques.ionnaire compris.d of a total of 33 ques.ions. twelve of wh.ch.explored participants. s.cio demograph.c ch.racteris.ics. ris. factors.and s.mptoms.of th.ir urinary incontinence. Th. remaining 21 items.were adapted from King’s.h.alth.Ques.ionnaire (Kh.) formulated in 1997 at King’s.college, London, for th. as.es.ment of quality of life in women with.urinary incontinence. Data collection was.from February to May 2014. Th. res.lt revealed th.t mixed urinary incontinence was.th. mos. prevalent type of urinary incontinence affecting Kuwaiti women with.type two diabetes.mellitus. s.mptoms.of both.s.res. incontinence and urge incontinence (Over active bladder) were not mutually exclus.ve as.th.y were pres.nt in 247 (98.8%) and 240 (96%) of th. participants.res.ectively. Key ris. factors.for developing incontinence were over th.ee years.duration of diabetes.mellitus.in 115 (56%) and delivery of one or more ch.ldren reported by 206 (82%) of th. participants. Analys.s.and res.lt of King h.alth.Ques.ionnaire on quality of life will be reported in s.parate paper on th. ps.ch.s.cial impact of urinary incontinence on diabetic Kuwaiti women. In conclus.on, urinary incontinence h.d a devas.ating effect on th. lives.of s.fferers.and th.refore s.ould be prevented at all cos. by nurs.s.providing anticipatory guidance to all pregnant and diabetic women and routinely teach.ng pelvic floor exercis.s.to all pos.
