Proposed Simple, Efficient Free Hand Technique for Frontal External Ventricular Drain (EVD) in Case of Small Ventricle: A Report of New Technique

Background: EVD is a common procedure done in neurosurgery and the residents should master it and this is what exactly means that it should be simple, safe, fast and accurate. EVD can be done through many entry points to the different part of the lateral ventricle but the famous site is the anterior horn of the lateral ventricle which is commonly approached through Kocher’s point which is a famous point for all neurosurgeon by its measurements of allocation. The commonest problem with EVD insertion into the anterior horn is the navigation of the ventricular cavity with the right trajectory and so the location of the catheter tip in the right place near the foramen of monro to ensure CSF draining. Size of the ventricle plays significant role in the success of the procedure especially free hand technique. The more dilated ventricle, the more chance to hit the ventricular cavity especially from the first trial and vice versa. In case of small ventricle, the procedure with free hand technique seems more complicated and the chance to hit the ventricle from the first trial may reduce especially with non-expert surgeon but may succeed in the following trials with increased risk of complications with more trials. Purpose: Most EVD’s are placed with freehand technique which depends on the operator skills to navigate the ventricle with right trajectory and hit the ventricle from the first trial, because many trials may complicate the procedure and produce undesirable side effects. So the key in this free hand technique is how to ensure the success from the first trial. In case of small anterior horn of the lateral ventricle, the procedure is even more difficult with the free hand technique and the classic Kocher point needs an expert to get the right trajectory to navigate such small ventricle. Olive oil doped Nanosilica is successfully prepared by wet chemical synthesis method. Samples were analyzed by a variety of techniques, including X-ray diffraction, FTIR, absorption and emission spectrometers to report the capability of Sol-Gel technology on preparing of silica monolith as a host material for Olive oil, and investigate the effect of converting Olive oil to a solid state on its optical properties. Some absorption bands of Olive oil are disappearing from absorption spectrum of doped silica. Only single strong fluorescence peak was appearing in fluorescence spectrum of pure Olive oil at wavelength around 678 nm which attributed to chlorophylls, while fluorescence spectrum to doped sample shows two strong fluorescence peaks at the wavelength 681 nm and 585 nm which attributed to chlorophylls and Vitamin E respectively. The doping process enhances fluorescence activity of Olive oil through enhancing intensity of the fluorescence peak corresponding to Vitamin E. Absorption and fluorescence spectrums to doped silica sample give a good indication in direction of using Sol-Gel technique to prepare?for Olive oil doped SiO2 as an optical active material.

目的:探讨遗传算法的局限性和实用性,并分析基于相互作用产生的上位效应对遗传算法可靠性的影响。创新点:1.指出遗传算法缺陷的根源;2.基于测试样本函数定义目标函数,以判断遗传算法的适用性。方法:1.基于非上位效应函数(表1)和上位效应函数(表2),以及非上位效应函数F4和上位效应函数F6的结构图来验证遗传算法可靠性;2.通过计算样本函数(公式(1))和遗传算法流程(图3)表达遗传算法的工作原理。3.利用克洛弗函数(公式(2))和计算不同结构角下的函数分布(图4),进一步判断匹配度(表3)和计算效率(表4);定义新的目标函数(公式(9))和一组新的变量(公式(10))来实现变量相关性解离。结论:1.对当前遗传算法存在的不足给出了独到见解,并认为正定性的假设并非可以保证遗传算法实际的有效性和优化性。2.定义成本代价函数用以判断遗传算法可靠性,并分别考虑上位性和非上位性效应两种情形。当成本代价函数在非上位性效应下时,遗传算法是有效的;否则,可以把N维函数降级为N个一维函数,从而采用更简单的算法来判断。基于一些通用的基准,进一步设计三类样本函数来证实以上判断,且这些样本函数适合于上位性效应情形和非上位效应情形。3.遗传算法的瓶颈在于主算子和相干匹配性;可以通过破坏某些结构来实现变量关系的解离,从而抑制相干匹配性对遗传算法的影响。希望相关读者在处理实际优化问题时能验证作者关于上位效应的定性结论,并给出更可靠的方法来表征这种效应。

The COVID-19 pandemic has triggered a global humanitarian disaster that has never been seen *** experts,on the other hand,are undecided on the most valuable treatments of therapy because people ill with this infection exhibit a wide range of illness indications at different phases of ***,this project aims to undertake an experimental investigation to determine which treatments for COVID-19 disease is the most effective and *** research analysis is based on vast data gathered from professionals and research journals,making this study a comprehensive *** solve this challenging task,the researchers used the HF AHPTOPSIS Methodology,which is a well-known and highly effective MultiCriteria Decision Making(MCDM)*** technique assesses the many treatment options identified through various research papers and guidelines proposed by various countries,based on the recommendations of medical practitioners and *** review process begins with a ranking of different treatments based on their effectiveness using the HF-AHP approach and then evaluates the results in five different hospitals chosen by the authors as *** also perform robustness analysis to validate the conclusions of our *** a result,we obtained highly corroborative results that can be used as a *** results suggest that convalescent plasma has the greatest rank and priority in terms of effectiveness and demand,implying that convalescent plasma is the most effective treatment for SARS-CoV-2 in our *** also has the lowest priority in the estimation.

Touch gesture recognition is an important aspect in human-robot interaction,as it makes such interaction effective and *** novelty of this study is the development of a system that recognizes human-animal affective robot touch(HAART)using a deep learning *** proposed system was used for touch gesture recognition based on a dataset provided by the Recognition of the Touch Gestures Challenge *** dataset was tested with numerous subjects performing different HAART gestures;each touch was performed on a robotic animal covered by a pressure sensor skin.A convolutional neural network algorithm is proposed to implement the touch recognition system from row inputs of the sensor *** leave-one-subject-out cross-validation method was used to validate and evaluate the proposed system.A comparative analysis between the results of the proposed system and the state-of-the-art performance is *** show that the proposed system could recognize the gestures in almost real time(after acquiring the minimum number of frames).According to the results of the leave-one-subject-out cross-validation method,the proposed algorithm could achieve a classification accuracy of 83.2%.It was also superior compared with existing systems in terms of classification ratio,touch recognition time,and data preprocessing on the same ***,the proposed system can be used in a wide range of real applications,such as image recognition,natural language recognition,and video clip classification.

Yellow Rust （stripe） rust （Puccinia striiformis West. f. sp. tritici） is one of the most epidemic diseases infect wheat in cold and wet regions. In 1988, this disease caused a loss of seasonal production amounted 70% on wheat variety Mexipak in Syria, and recurrent infection in 2010, caused by a virulent race called Yr27, caused a considerable loss in the production of bread wheat cultivars （Cham 8, Cham 6 particularly） amounted 90%. Recently, 15 races of yellow rust had been addressed in Syria for seasons 2010-2014; 159E256, 166E254, 166E256, 255 E112, 0 E0, 64 E 6, 230 El50, 0 E 18, 198 El30, 166 El50, 102 El60, 128 E0, 126 El50, 214E150, and 6E16. The race 6E16 was the most frequent during the two seasons, while the race 255El12 was the most virulent, followed by the race 230E222 and the race 0E0 was the weakest one. This study revealed the presence of fourteen newly observed races in Syria. Molecular Variance Analysis of Molecular Variance （AMOVA） of 55 yellow rust Puccinia striiformis *** tritici isolates examined by Amplify Fragment Length Polymorphism （AFLP） revealed high genetic variation within population, and the dimensional scale analysis （MSD） and tree diagram showed that the Syrian yellow rust isolates were clustered in three groups： the first group contained isolates derived from durum wheat, the second one contained bread wheat isolates, but the third was made of isolates derived from both durum and bread wheat species.

Characteristics of Tides in the Red Sea Region, a Numerical Model Study

In this work, a two-dimensional numerical model based on Delft3D modelling system was setup to study the tidal characteristics of the Red Sea. Besides that, analyses of available observed time series of surface elevations were carried out. Sensitivity analyses of the numerical model were carried out by testing different model parameters aiming at selecting optimal settings. The model performance was evaluated against available time series of surface elevation observations. RMS error was found to vary from 0.03 to 0.1 meter, while the ADM values range from 0.02 to 0.05 meter. On the whole, the model is able to reproduce the tidal wave in the Red Sea, reflecting a consistent level of agreement with the observations and previous works. The model results suggest that the semidiurnal tidal waves play a major role in the region except in the central part of the Red Sea where amphidromic system exists. Major semidiurnal and diurnal tidal constituents were computed to generate co-charts and form factor. The results have revealed that the distribution of the co-charts of the major semidiurnal constituents M2, N2, and S2 show the existence of anticlockwise amphidromic system in the central part of the Red Sea at about 19.5°N, north of the Strait of Bab el Mandeb at 13.5°N and in the Gulf of Suez. The chart of the diurnal tidal constituent K1 showed a single counterclockwise system in the southern part of the Red Sea centred around 15.5°N. The form factor chart shows the appearance of diurnal character in the central part of the basin and the northern end of the strait. The hydrodynamics patterns under spring and neap tidal conditions were also analysed (during flood and ebb conditions). Model results showed that currents generally are weak and strongest currents are present in the strait of Bab el Mandeb and Gulf of Suez.
