The single-station microtremor method is one of the fastest,most reliable,and cheapest methods used to identify dynamic soil *** study utilizes 49 single-station microtremor measurements to identify the dynamic soil properties of the Hilalkent quarter of the Yakutiye district in *** dominant frequency and the amplification factor were calculated by using the Nakamura horizontal/vertical spectral ratio(H/V)*** the soil dominant frequency values varied between 0.4 Hz and 10 Hz,the soil amplification factor changed between 1 and *** H/V values were acquired with lower frequency *** vulnerability index(K_(g))and shear strain parameters that are utilized to estimate the damage that may be caused by an earthquake were *** in the west side of the study area,higher K_(g) values were *** shear strain map was created with 0.25 g,0.50 g and 0.75 g bedrock accelerations,and soil types that lost elasticity during an earthquake were *** average shear wave velocity for the first 30 m(V_(s30))was ***,it was observed that the western part of the study area,which resulted in a higher period and higher H/V,higher K_(g) and lower V_(s30) values,presents a higher risk of damage during an earthquake.

The use of all samples in the optimization process does not produce robust results in datasets with label *** the gradients calculated according to the losses of the noisy samples cause the optimization process to go in the wrong *** this paper,we recommend using samples with loss less than a threshold determined during the optimization,instead of using all samples in the *** proposed method,Adaptive-k,aims to exclude label noise samples from the optimization process and make the process *** noisy datasets,we found that using a threshold-based approach,such as Adaptive-k,produces better results than using all samples or a fixed number of low-loss samples in the *** the basis of our theoretical analysis and experimental results,we show that the Adaptive-k method is closest to the performance of the Oracle,in which noisy samples are entirely removed from the ***-k is a simple but effective *** does not require prior knowledge of the noise ratio of the dataset,does not require additional model training,and does not increase training time *** the experiments,we also show that Adaptive-k is compatible with different optimizers such as SGD,SGDM,and *** code for Adaptive-k is available at GitHub.

This study aims to predict the undrained shear strength of remolded soil samples using non-linear regression analyses,fuzzy logic,and artificial neural network modeling.A total of 1306 undrained shear strength results from 230 different remolded soil test settings reported in 21 publications were collected,utilizing six different measurement *** water content,plastic limit,and liquid limit were used as input parameters for fuzzy logic and artificial neural network modeling,liquidity index or water content ratio was considered as an input parameter for non-linear regression *** non-linear regression analyses,12 different regression equations were derived for the prediction of undrained shear strength of remolded ***-Forward backpropagation and the TANSIG transfer function were used for artificial neural network modeling,while the Mamdani inference system was preferred with trapezoidal and triangular membership functions for fuzzy logic *** experimental results of 914 tests were used for training of the artificial neural network models,196 for validation and 196 for *** was observed that the accuracy of the artificial neural network and fuzzy logic modeling was higher than that of the non-linear regression ***,a simple and reliable regression equation was proposed for assessments of undrained shear strength values with higher coefficients of determination.

Cooling system design for thermal management of electronic equipment,batteries and photovoltaic(PV)modules is important for increasing the efﬁciency,safety operation,and long life span the *** the present study,two different cooling systems are proposed with nano-enhanced multiple impinging jets for a conductive *** present cooling systems can be used in electronic cooling and PV *** porous object(PPO)and sinusoidal porous object(SPO)are used in the jet cooling system.2D numerical analysis usingﬁnite volume method is conducted considering different values of permeability of the objects(Darcy number(Da)between 10^(-6) and 10^(-1)).When PPO is used in the cooling system,num-ber of cylinders(between 1 and 6),and size of the cylinders(between 0.015 and 0.075)are *** the case of using SPO,amplitude(between 0.1 and 2)and wave number(be-tween 1 and 12)are ***-water nanoﬂuid with cylindrical shaped nanoparticles is used as the heat transferﬂ*** permeability is changed for PPO,the average temper-ature increases by roughly 3.89℃ for a single cylinder and drops by roughly 0.57℃ for a six-cylinder *** the size of the cylinder in the PPO case at highest permeability results in temperature drop of 5.3℃.When changing the number of cylinders,cooling rate varies by about 3.6%.Wave number of SPO is more inﬂuential on the cooling performance enhancement as compared to amplitude and permeability of the *** average surface temperature drops by 12.4℃ when the wave number is increased to *** compared to reference case of jet impingement cooling without porous object,using PPO and SPO along with the nanoﬂuid result in temperature drop of 12.3℃ and 14.4℃.

Background: It is crucial to assess the severity of acute cholangitis(AC). There are currently several prognostic markers. However, the accuracies of these markers are not satisfied. The present study aimed to investigate the predictive value of the red cell distribution width(RDW)-to-albumin ratio(RAR) for the prognosis of AC. Methods: We retrospectively evaluated consecutive patients diagnosed with AC between May 2019 and March 2022. RAR was calculated, and its predictive ability for in-hospital mortality, intensive care unit(ICU) admission, bacteremia, and the length of hospitalization were analyzed. Results: Out of 438 patients, 34(7.8%) died. Multivariate analysis showed that malignant etiology [odds ratio(OR) = 4.816, 95% confidence interval(CI): 1.936-11.980], creatinine(OR = 1.649, 95% CI: 1.095-2.484), and RAR(OR = 2.064, 95% CI: 1.494-2.851) were independent risk factors for mortality. When adjusted for relevant covariates, including age, sex, malignant etiology, Tokyo severity grading(TSG), Charlson comorbidity index, and creatinine, RAR significantly predicted mortality(adjusted OR = 1.833, 95% CI: 1.280-2.624). When the cut-off of RAR was set to 3.8, its sensitivity and specificity for mortality were 94.1% and 56.7%, respectively. Patients with an RAR of > 3.8 had a 20.9-fold(OR = 20.9, 95% CI: 4.9-88.6) greater risk of mortality than the remaining patients. The area under the curve value of RAR for mortality was 0.835(95% CI: 0.770-0.901), which was significantly higher than that of TSG and the other prognostic markers, such as C-reactive protein-to-albumin ratio, and procalcitonin-to-albumin ratio. Lastly, RAR was not inferior to TSG in predicting ICU admission, bacteremia, and the length of hospitalization. Conclusions: RAR successfully predicted the in-hospital mortality, ICU admission, bacteremia, and the length of hospitalization of patients with AC, especially in-hospital mortality. Hazardous waste stream needs to be managed so as not to exceed stock-and rate-limited properties of its recipient *** co-pyrolysis of Chinese medicine residue(CMR)and textile dyeing sludge(TDS)and its bio-oil,biochar,and ash quality and quantity were characterized as a function of the immersion of K_(2)CO_(3),atmosphere type,blend ratio,and *** to the mono-pyrolysis of TDS,its co-pyrolysis performance with CMR(the comprehensive performance index(CPI))significantly improved by 33.9%in the N_(2)atmosphere and 33.2%in the CO_(2)*** impregnation catalyzed the co-pyrolysis at 370℃,reduced its activation energy by 77.3 kJ/mol in the N_(2)atmosphere and 134.6 kJ/mol in the CO_(2)atmosphere,and enriched the degree of coke gasification by 44.25%in the CO_(2)*** impregnation increased the decomposition rate of the co-pyrolysis by weakening the bond energy of fatty side chains and bridge bonds,its catalytic and secondary products,and its bio-oil yield by 66.19%.Its bio-oils mainly contained olefins,aromatic structural substances,and *** immersion of K_(2)CO_(3)improved the aromaticity of the copyrolytic biochars and reduced the contact between K and Si which made it convenient for Mg to react with SiO_(2)to form *** co-pyrolytic biochar surfaces mainly included-OH,-CH_(2),C=C,and *** main phases in the co-pyrolytic ash included Ca_(5)(PO_(4))_(3)(OH),Al_(2)O_(3),and magnesium-silicate.
