Identification of hidden faults using determining velocity structure profile by spatial autocorrelation method in the west of Mashhad plain(Northeast of Iran)

Characterizing the subsurface structure is an important parameter for the improvement of seismic hazard *** to the tectonic complexity of the earth,some deep fractures do not reach the earth's surface and are not detectable with visual ***,the lack of knowledge of faults and fractures can result in disasters,especially in urban *** geophysical methods can be used to estimate subsurface structure ***,a more reliable method is required to assess seismic hazards and reduce potential damage in metropolitan areas without destroying buildings and *** paper aims to identify hidden faults and structures using shear wave velocity *** do this,surface wave dispersion curve was extracted from the vertical component of microtremor array recording using the spatial autocorrelation(SPAC)method in two profiles and 13 array stations(perpendicular to the altitudes)to obtain shear wave velocity structure(Vs)in the west of Mashhad,northeast of *** results of shear wave velocity profiles(Vs)indicate sudden changes in the thickness of *** can be related to the displacement of a normal fault in this area causing the bottom rock to fall and an increase in the alluvial thickness in the central part of the *** velocity in the floor rock is 2000 meters per second in this *** to the surface outcrops and water wells data,its material is slate and Phyllite metamorphic rocks that are exposed in the adjacent ***,the seismic profile results were well consistent with electrical resistance data and well logs indicating that the tool array method is flexible,non-invasive,relatively fast,and effective for urban areas with satisfactory accuracy.

The modeling of hydrocarbon selectivity and CO conversion of the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis over Fe-Ni/Al2O3 catalyst by using coupled artificial neural networks (ANN) and design of experiment (DOE) approaches were investigated. The variable parameters for modeling consisted of the pressure range between 2 and 10 bar and the temperature range of 523-573 K. After training of data by ANN and determination of DOE points by central composite design (CCD), the results were compiled together for producing simulated data used in the response surface method (RSM). The RSM was used as an applied mathematics model to dem on strate the CO conversi on and selectivity of hydrocarbons depende nee on the CO hydrogenation conditions. The results indicated that CO conversion and Cg selectivity increased with rising both temperature and pressure. The methane selectivity showed upward trend as the temperature in creased. It also in creased by decreasing pressure. Finally, the optimization of the catalytic process was carried out and conditions with maximum desired product were obtained. A comparison of experimental values and RSM values show that the RSM equations are able to predict the behavior of experimental data.

Despite having a relatively low prevalence in the Iranian general population, the burden of hepatitis C virus(HCV) infection is on the rise, and hepatitis C is predicted to be the most important leading cause of viral hepatitis-related mortality in the near future in Iran. The recent population-based epidemiological studies have revealed the predominant role of injecting drug use in increasing prevalence of HCV infection. Undoubtedly, new management paradigm is required to drive down the rising wave of hepatitis C in Iran. Priority should be given to young injecting drug users as the cornerstone of the lurking epidemic of HCV infection in Iran.

Each year, hundreds of fatal wrong-way driving （WWD） crashes occur across the United States. Thousands of injuries are reported in crashes caused by wrong-way drivers. Traffic control devices （TCDs）, i.e., signs, pavement markings, and signals, have been introduced since 1935 to combat this problem. The aim of the paper is to provide a complete history of TCDs for deterring WWD on freeways and divided highways in previous versions of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices （MUTCD）（1935-2009）. A fully referenced overview of definitions, text passages, and figures of the TCDs, employed to deter WWD in all MUTCD versions, will be given to characterize the changes over time. In addition, the efforts that have been made by state department of transportation （DOT） especially over the past few years to aggressively attack WWD by deploying standard TCDs are reviewed. Finally, the paper makes conclusions and recommendations with regard to the necessity of a revision in the next edition of MUTCD for WWD TCDs. The investigation of changes and the current practice leave a trail to enable traffic engineers and policy makers to consider past decisions and their effectiveness in combating WWD, as well as providing a reference to determine whether or not their jurisdiction meets the MUTCD standards.

Preyssler acid H14[NaP5W30O110] was used as reducing agent and stabilizer for the synthesis of gold nanoparticles by photolysis of Au(III)/Preyssler acid/propan-2-ol *** acid plays both the role of transferring electrons from propan-2-ol to Au(III) and stabilizing the ***-2-ol was used as sacrificial reagent for the photoformation of reduced Preyssler *** nanoparticles (Au NPs) were characterized by UV-Vis spectroscopy,transmission electron microscopy (TEM),and particle size distribution (PSD) *** synthesized Au NPs had a uniform hexagonal morphology and their size was about 17 *** catalytic performance of these NPs for photodegradation of methyl orange (MeO) was investigated in aqueous ***-Vis studies showed that Au NPs can catalyze photodegradation of this azo *** pseudo-first-order rate constants were also calculated for this reaction.

[61Cu]-labeled pyruvaldehyde-bis(N-4-methylthiosemicarbazone) (61Cu-PTSM), a promising agent made for imaging blood perfusion, was produced via the natZn(p,x)61Cu nuclear reaction in a 30 MeV cyclotron, and separated by a two-step column chromatography method developed in our laboratory using a cation and an anion exchange resin. After 150 μA irradiation for 76 min, about 6.006 Ci of 61Cu2+ was obtained with a radiochemical separation yield of 95% and a radionuclidic purity of 99%. Cu-PTSM was prepared using an optimized method with 61 in-house synthesized PTSM ligand for radiolabeling following quality control procedures using RTLC and HPLC. The tracer is mostly incorporated in heart, kidneys and brain compared to free copper cation as a control. These are in agreement with former reports. In conclusion, [61Cu]-PTSM was prepared at the radiopharmaceutical scales with high quality and is a potential PET tracer in the perfusion study of the heart, kidney, brain and tumors.

Current paper reviews the pharmacological activities, therapeutic indications and phytochemicals of M. longifolia. This herb has been consumed traditionally for the treatment of various diseases, including gastrointestinal disorders, respiratory disorders, infectious diseases, inflammatory diseases, as well as menstrual disorders. In the modern era, various pharmacological activities have been confirmed for M. longifolia, such as anti-parasitic, antimicrobial, anti-insect, antimutagenic, antinociceptive, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, keratoprotective, hepatoprotective, anti-diarrhea, and spasmolytic effects. The plant showed therapeutic benefits in irritable bowel syndrome, amenorrhea and oligomenorrhea, and oxidative stress-associated diseases as well. A vast variety of natural components such as flavonoids, phenolic acids, cinnamates, ceramides, sesquiterpenes, terpenes, and terpenoids have been suggested to be responsible for the pharmacological action of M. longifolia. These natural products can be considered as novel medicinal sources for developing new drugs. Further investigations to explore therapeutic efficacy, tolerability,and pharmaceutical properties of M. longifolia phytochemical agents are recommended.

Objectives:To investigate the effect of auriculotherapy on reducing labor ***:In this randomized clinical trial,166 nulliparous pregnant women admitted to the Labor Ward of Izadi Hospital in Qom,Iran were included and assigned to two groups by randomized block *** the intervention group(83 cases),auriculotherapy in"Shenmen,Thalamic,Zero,Brain,and Brain stem"was performed in dilatations of 4,6 and 8 cm,between the contractions for 30 s in both ears at interval 1 *** the control group received routine *** Spielberger Inventory were completed pre-and ***:The auriculotherapy was effective to reduce anxiety state in the intervention group compared to the control group(P=0.001).The score of state anxiety in the intervention group reduced for 7.0,8.0 and 11.0 U in 4,6,and 8 cm dilatations after the *** score of trait anxiety in the intervention group reduced for 3.8,4.0 and 8.3 U in 4,6,and 8 cm dilatations after the *** was no significant difference of delivery mode and newborns’weight and Apgar score between groups(P>0.05).No adverse postpartum outcome such as hemorrhage has been observed in both ***:Since most women are anxious during labor,it seems that auriculotherapy can be an easy and safe method to reduce labor anxiety.(Trial registration ***20121230011944 n4)

BACKGROUND: Ensuring about the patient's safety is the f irst vital step in improving the quality of care and the emergency ward is known as a high-risk area in treatment health care. The present study was conducted to evaluate the selected risk processes of emergency surgery department of a treatment-educational Qaem center in Mashhad by using analysis method of the conditions and failure effects in health ***: In this study, in combination(qualitative action research and quantitative crosssectional), failure modes and effects of 5 high-risk procedures of the emergency surgery department were identified and analyzed according to Healthcare Failure Mode and Effects Analysis(HFMEA). To classify the failure modes from the "nursing errors in clinical management model(NECM)", the classification of the effective causes of error from "Eindhoven model" and determination of the strategies to improve from the "theory of solving problem by an inventive method" were used. To analyze the quantitative data of descriptive statistics(total points) and to analyze the qualitative data, content analysis and agreement of comments of the members were ***: In 5 selected processes by "voting method using rating", 23 steps, 61 sub-processes and 217 potential failure modes were identifi ed by HFMEA. 25(11.5%) failure modes as the high risk errors were detected and transferred to the decision tree. The most and the least failure modes were placed in the categories of care errors(54.7%) and knowledge and skill(9.5%), respectively.
